Just a Little Rant

Ok sorry but I just have to rant a little bit because of this situation.... there is someone I work with that is in their mid 30′s and she has started copying what I do/post and I think it is hilarious because for the longest time we would not talk to each other because I don’t like her and I thought she didn’t like me.... apparently that is not the case... apparently she likes me enough to do the same exact thing as me... 

Here’s a little back story to this: 

This lady is in her 30′s and has started dating one of our other teachers at the daycare I work at. Cool, whatever, I don’t mind one bit. The teacher she is dating is in her 20′s a few years younger than me and we had a great friendship (me and the younger teacher) we would tell each other everything and let each other in on the gossip that always goes around at the daycare. Then one day something happened and she just stopped talking to me. I was like oh ok cool I see how it is. That is when I stopped talking to both of them really. 

Fast forward a few months and things finally settled down, L started talking to me again. A and I would talk a little bit but I still don’t really talk to her that much. Then in August I made the decision to go back to school to get my master’s degree... posted it on FB and literally the next day L (the younger one) came in to work and said “yeah I saw your post, I think I'm going to do that too.” Ok cool, I'm happy for you, do you, great. That was when I started getting a little skeptical about them, but let me continue. 

In August, my boyfriend and I had started having a more serious talk about getting married and when we wanted to do things and that was when I started looking at rings... The first weekend in October we were taking a trip to South Carolina for the day and I had a feeling that was when he was going to propose... I was talking to my boss that Friday about it because I had gone and gotten my nails done and I was telling her my suspicions... anyway A had made a comment then that her and L had been dating almost the same amount of time that I had been dating my bf and that they had talked about it but weren’t ready and wanted to wait till they were better off financially and L had finished school and all that. Ok great, you do you. 

I end up getting engaged that weekend, like I thought, and I'm ecstatic and over the moon. LITERALLY FOUR FUCKING DAYS LATER L goes out and buys a ring for A and tells everyone that it is just a “promise ring” like ok that’s cool I love the idea of promise rings if that's what you want to do I'm totally cool with it. I come in the next day and A is all excited and showing off her “promise ring” I take one look at it and am like wow that is a really expensive promise ring if that's what it actually is. Well then I talked with L and she said they were using it as a promise ring but it was really an engagement ring... right away I knew that they weren’t using it as a promise ring, but whatever I will let them have it it’s fine. Then a few weeks later L accidentally tells me and another coworker that they decided it was an engagement ring instead. BAM what did I tell you? Now that next weekend A goes and gets an engagement ring for L and actually proposes, its cute I will give them that, but I am not very amused at this point. Like I literally had 4 days where I was the one engaged and then they had to go and do that. That was when I really started wondering if they were just trying to copy me and I was trying to figure out why. 

Now, mind you, my fiancé and I had already talked about what we wanted to do for the wedding and everything and how we wanted everything to go. I was talking about what our decision was, which was to go to the courthouse and get married in April and then in August have a reception for some friends and family. 

I had told L about this and didn’t think anything of it till after they “officially” got engaged and I asked what their plans were. Her words, “Oh well, we haven’t set a date cuz we aren’t in any rush but we do want to get married on a beach and just have a few family members there and then have a party a few months later” hmmmm... ok.... a little more suspicious. 

THEN I had mentioned we were going to have a target registry because it is a little cheaper and with the people we are inviting it would be perfect. Come to find out that L told one of the other teachers that that is what her and A are going to do too. 

Ok cool, like I know at this point y’all are just copying me straight up so I'm going to just tell you my colors and what I’m planning and see how much you copy me and don’t have your own original ideas. cool whatever 

Then something strange happened this weekend.... I posted on my snapchat that I had cleaned my engagement ring and that it was all sparkly cuz it was and I wanted to show it off. LITERALLY 15 MINUTES LATER A posts a picture to her snap story of her ring. One of my work besties commented on mine and was like did you see her post 👀. I was like uhhhh yeah... kinda weird, but whatever like I don’t know what their deal is but 🤷🏻‍♀️. She was like uh yeah girl you got someone watching you... its creepy. like yes it is very much creepy

but then I kept an eye on what I posted this week and what she has posted and they have all been very very similar and I'm just like WHY DO YOU KEEP POSTING THE SAME THING AS ME ITS SO FUCKING CREEPY 

but on a side note... my friends at work have decided they are just going to copy me and I’m literally dying because two of them did tonight and I'm literally in tears because I’m laughing so hard. 

anyway sorry this ended up being a long rant. I just can't get over how creepy that is and like I want to block her because of it but I also don’t because I want to see what she posts and if they continue to copy what I do/post on social.

I have not been on here in months... I just all the sudden got the urge to write again though, so I may get some Christmas stories out within the next few weeks, since my classes end for the semester next week
