This may be the most tumblr thing I’ve ever tumblr’d but here, have some Stardew Valley Shanes and Harveys.

TBF I really wasn’t getting the hype around Shane when I first started the game (I mean he’s kind of a dick at first), but once you complete his arc it all starts to make sense and personally this is the kind of story that really hits me hard. As someone who has low self-esteem and who struggles with social anxiety on a regular basis, stories about people with mental health problems who try to overcome them are something that I find myself needing a lot these days, and it’s something that I’ve been trying to portray in my own story ideas for years. I’m glad I finally picked up this game.

As for Harvey, his story was kinda cathartic for me since I’m always worried about living a boring life and missing out on stuff, or not wanting to have A Career™ and draw 24/7. It reminds me to focus on what I want and not what I think people think I should do with my life.

Headcanon that Shane use to have long natural brown hair before he moved to the valley…I imagine Emily being the one responsible for his haircut!

Shane is a punk at heart who has loves dyeing his hair and Emily supports this

Belden or Pip is a charismatic sometimes annoyingly bard but loyal to his friends. He had so many adventures some of them are extremely dangerous like searching for the Golden Dragon Egg, Civil War of the two Faction of Lizardmen, Journey to the Sky Kingdom of Proud Eagles, Rescuing Capt. Thomas from the Nightingale Sirens and many more.

No one knows where he comes from and Pip doesn't want to talk about it. Some say they saw Pip going on an adventure secretly with a heirloom crossbow on his bag accompanied by a band of mysterious folks.
