tbh I’m not super into modern AUs for historical stuff but I can’t stop thinking about a modern day military drama involving leebury where Lee is a former green beret turned private contractor “unofficially on the DoD’s payroll” who does off-the-books black ops shit like counterinsurgency and regime changes and “cleanup jobs” while Seabury is a fallen from grace retired minister because he lost his faith and is now an aggressive anti-war activist who is pretty fuckin miffed at war criminals and does everything he can to make their lives a living hell

He and Lee meet at some private event where a bunch of four star generals and mercs like Lee are buttering up defense contractors and Seabury is there to crash the party 🤭

but they hook up instead lol
