little one who's having a dissociative episode, eyes unfocused and face worryingly relaxed. their carer had been slightly expecting it, noticing the signs that lead into their little girl being not there all morning.

thus it takes no time for them to settle in next to their kiddo, not touching, but close enough to be noticed and in eye line. they use a hushed tone to narrate their actions. the lights were already dimmed in preparation when their little one's responses took just a bit too long, so all there is left to do is wait patiently for the episode to pass.

they keep talking quietly, giving their baby something to focus on, coaxing them gently through the fog they know their little experiences.

"my brave star, can you hear me? i'm not going anywhere. you just come right on back to me when you're ready, okay honey? we'll have a big cuddle and maybe watch some movies – your favourite is already pulled up. i'll just need a little sign, when you're ready, that you wanna watch. do you remember the signs, precious? just lifting one little finger.. but take your time, honey. i'm never leaving you. it's okay, baby love."

yes ! in my mind it's the opposite 𓈒 alice is a flip and cindy is the babiest baby to ever baby 𓈒 i think alice would be an older kiddo like 8 or 9 perhaps 𓈒 i think cindy has a thing about hiding her regression not even wanting ziggy or alice to know about it and would be Very upset if confronted about it or forced to talk about it but i see alice taking care of cindy as being therapeutic for both of them and ziggy as really wanting to be a support system ( also a regressor themself ) but cindy is just rather stubborn about being Perfect and the Big Sister all the time 𓈒 sorry ack i have literally sooo many thoughts about them i miss them so badly 𓈒 i don't want to yap your ear off so let me stop before getting too far ahead of myself but yesh big fear street guy 𓈒 literally almost jumped out of my skin in excitement seeing this ask 𓈒 (III╥_╥⁠) autism won 𓈒𓈒

★ usually when she regresses, sam is around the age of 4-6, but a few times she has regressed to be a bit older aiming somewhere around 8-10

★ that kid LOVES bubbles. honestly she could spend hours sitting on her porch blowing bubbles- doesn't even chase them she loves watching them glisten and flutter around :3

★ she loves to sing and hum when she's little!! an absolute telltale sign that she's little is she'll be humming her favorite song [or a random melody she's making up as she goes] while she stims with her hands or rocks back and forth

★ i don't know why but she strikes me as the type to have a bunch of googly eyes and just put them absolutely everywhere,, all of her things are covered in googly eyes and other stickers of similar fashion

★ sam tends to get pretty clingy when she's little, but she hates the idea of bothering her friends so she usually tries to insist she's big or that she doesn't need a caregiver/babysitter,,, but when someone eventually says they'll stay to keep her company she's instantly glued to their side, following them around and staying with them even if they're doing something super boring

★ adding to prev physical touch is very important to her when she's regressed,, she loves hand holding and being held, and especially loves cuddling with her cg >_<

★ little with a lovie! carries the same plushie everywhere and literally needs to have it on hand all the time,, she gets so upset if she regresses and doesn't have her favorite plushie on hand, and even if she has another stuffed animal that's similar it's just not the same :(

★ sam strikes me as the type of little to be a goldfish fiend,, i bet she'd have a pre-made little space bag with all her stuff for when she regresses, and she'd always have a little baggie with goldfish or a box of raisins

★ very very sleepy little,, half the time when she regresses she is so quick to pass out,, if her cg tells her it's time for a nap she almost never fights it, but she will get upset if they leave her side while she's trying to fall asleep

★ loves to doodle!! one of her favorite activities is drawing, and she loves making pictures for her friends but half the time she's too nervous to give it to them,,, if she does eventually become open about her regression she might start giving them the drawings she's made for them, or she'll give them to deena and ask her to pass them along

★ very much a cartoon enjoyer,, the type that can spend hours sitting in front of the tv, half asleep on the couch watching a marathon of a cartoon she previously had no interest in,, i think she'd really like powerpuff girls and spongebob
