everytime when I see a concept of therians outside of the tumblr (for example some random non-related youtuber mention us in their video) I feel extremely stressed even if nothing wrong happened. Anyone can relate?

sapphic = women who are lesbian, bi, pan, or otherwise attracted to women

alterhuman = therian, otherkin, fictionkin, otherlink, otherhearted, holothere, etc. identifying as or with something non-human

the community gives so much attention to gay men and aroace people. while that's good, it's time we get appreciation too! women loving women is beautiful, and so is alterhumanity and when it crosses over! you are lovely, seen, and not alone!

give us art of lesbian werewolves, give us moodboards of bisexual angels, give us poetry about sapphic beings of nature and technology, and everything in between!

I don't really like it, it redefines "therian" which is a broad term to be based on picking a label, picking a community, and gear/quads. when "therian" has really just meant you see yourself, in some way and for some reason, as being an animal, not by choice (otherlink) but by involuntary occasion. it leaves room for a lot of different expressions and experiences, including what is considered "faunaluna", so the distinction isn't necessary.

it's like if I suddenly said: "'actor' is not a broad term. an actor is someone who only acts in straight plays. but if you act in both straight plays and musicals, you are actually a *insert new word here*!" obviously actors would be annoyed if I tried to narrow the word they've used for so long!

if you want a more lowkey alternative try wearing a lanyard around your neck! you can get ones with fun patterns, put tags and keychains on it, and some lanyards have a buckle in the back like a collar :)

omg dude you get it. I've never understood people saying they were born in the wrong generation, just because it's 2025 doesn't mean you can't enjoy fashion, media, and activities associated with older gens! do whatever you want and live your life, no matter what's trendy or not!

(also peanuts, therianthropy, and murder mystery novels are an amazing combo)

I was a minor character in a production of mean girls and I feel like I might be a fictionkin of her but like...I technically was her because I played her in front of hundreds of people. and she technically was me because I got to put a lot of my personality into her role (she canonically just has a handful of lines but I gave her extra bits of my personality through my acting)

what is this? is this even considered kinning or is it just me being connected to a favorite role? has anyone else experienced this 😭

WHY. why do I feel so different from literally everyone. like there's a communication barrier I can't lift. like there's an empty void where I should be, like I lack a soul. I'm not trying to be #notlikeothergirls I swear, I genuinely feel emptier and like less of a person than all of my peers my age. and it makes me so miserable.

I tell myself that I'm an animal in a human body, that I'm mentally 14 instead of 17, and that's why I am this way all the time. but of course those aren't real explanations, and no amount of pretending I'm secretly a different species or age will fix me.

I AM SO DESPERATE TO GET THERAPY but I can't anytime soon! ugh!! I need someone real to help me get better!!! I just want to be a person and meaningfully connect with ppl is that TOO MUCH TO ASK

YOU'RE SO RIGHT this is what I've been thinking too...I'm an alterhuman cis woman and whenever I log onto any social media and look at therian stuff I'm like wow there's SO MANY trans men hi. I can't comprehend how anyone can look at the community and think there's no men...because many of the most visible figures are open trans men :/

I would actually be kind of surprised to meet another cis therian my age because often experimenting with species comes with experimenting with gender. bending norms and all that. I just like being a girl lol

"we barely have any male therians" you ignore trans male therians because theyre trans, even trans male therians ignore other trans male therians because theyre trans. you EVEN AS A TRANS MAN. can see trans-male therians as less male purely because theyre trans. you need to rephrase it to "we barely have any biological male therians" but now you sound like a weirdo and the thing is many biologically male therians dont talk about whats in their pants because people immediately try to get IN THEM. i know this because i was stealth for four years and whenever people saw me say im a cis male therian they wanted me so badly, but now as an out trans male therian no one wants me, because im not biologically male.
