Sebastian didn't bother to hide the smirk at the words failing against their lips as his hand settled against the curve of her hip, fingers drumming lightly over soft skin. "...no need to skip breakfast." The man scolded teasingly, his brows drawing together lightly as if she'd suggested a simply unacceptable action for them to commit.
Though it was clear he really had no qualms to speak of as he shifted over a bit, deepening that kiss between them.
"...might just need to delay it." He eventually mumbled against her lips, following the curvature of her jaw line to sprinkle soft touches down the side of her neck and behind her ear. It was obvious that breakfast was simply not a priority for Sebastian, at least not now.
Not when there was a fine looking treat right in front of him now - and one that came without all the risk of allergic reaction, at that.

"I like to think it is simply the carbonation of it all. It can be lethal to me if I do not drink something with it for a long time." Sebastian teased lightly. Though really, it was true. One time he'd gone what seemed like years without drinking anything carbonated (he couldn't have a lot of it anyways) and cracked open a sparkling water that made him feel like he was drinking battery acid.
His mind quickly drifted as she turned to face him, his gaze staying on hers, somehow, as he shrugged his shoulders lazily.
"Ah. That is not too bad. I was expecting worse." He pointed out, finally letting that gaze wander slightly before he shifted onto his side as well, pressing a kiss to her lips once, drawing back for just a moment before he returned a second one, lightly drawing his teeth over her lip as his hand lingered softly against her side.

"Some people get it with very alcoholic orange juice - I never said you were the weird one. Just surprising." Sebastian chuckled, trying not to look too amused at her words but he was failing pretty spectacularly.
There was a soft hum as he glanced up at the ceiling, continuing those soft movements with his fingers - content to not have to get up quite yet as they enjoyed the early morning quiet for a little longer.
"...you got me curious now though. Are we talking an amount that would kill a small Victorian child or what?"

Sebastian raised his brow, a small huff leaving his lips. It wasn't like the man didn't have an expansive catalog of meals he could choose to create for her that weren't spicy - it was just odd, he supposed. How quickly a woman could be affected by a baby.
"Sure - I suppose I can avoid that." Sebastian assured with a soft roll of his shoulders.
His smile slowly ebbed away, watching his brother and suddenly feeling that strange feeling he'd gotten when Gemmy got out of jail. Like once again, he'd glanced up and his brother was five years older in the blink of an eye.
How had he missed another chapter?
When had they all grown up?
Was it selfish to think soon long gone would be the days of padding down the hall to bother his brother whenever he wished? He'd be gone - with Snow, raising the next generation of trouble. Just like Izzy. Just like Elliot. That one day that would just be the very last day of ever sharing those experiences in the same way.
No one ever prepared him for how bittersweet that feeling would be.
"You guys will be just fine."

Sebastian felt his fingers still against the small of her back, his head shaking in soft amusement. "No I do not believe those services will be required. I will keep that in mind though just in case." He teased. The Moreys were far too kind to deserve that kind of trouble but there was no saying there might not be other occasions that could call for such things.
Leaning up, Sebastian stole another kiss, brow raising gently. "Coke?" He repeated with a laugh, fingers back to tracing. "I did not know you dabbled so intensely." He tsked, laying back with a sigh.
"But - yes i do believe we have coke.. A surprising morning choice but who am I to judge."

Sebastian clicked his tongue at the Gem comment - even if Devyn couldn't hear it. It didn't fully surprise him. Gem... Well - he suspected Gem had a lot of personal feelings and issues. Didn't they all? But that was the thing - they all had baggage. Different sizes and colors and shapes.
So it was okay if Gem felt that way. It just wasn't okay to make Devyn feel that way as a result.
"It's not you." Sebastian signed. "I think it's just... complicated for Gem. He's not actually mad. Regardless, it doesn't make wanting to get to know your biological family a bad thing. You should do it. If you want to. Gem will come around."
Sebastian was certain of it.
Besides... Devyn deserved to meet their family. Even if that meant maybe they strayed from the Moreys.
"Do what feels right in your heart, Dev. I promise we'll support you, okay?"

There was every chance that Gem was going to treat him hostilely. That was his right, honestly and Sebastian wouldn't have been too hurt or surprised that the other man wasn't ready to forgive him or accept his words so soon.
Yet the second that hand came up, Sebastian knew right away that it wasn't a gesture made in ill-will and instead was as much of a peace offering as Sebastian's own was. Even if the older man still rolled his eyes at the soft pat against his cheek, knowing exactly what was going to be following the movement.
Exactly as anticipated, Sebastian felt himself get shoved to the side, a small huff leaving his lips as his own hand fell away from Gem. "It is what we are good at." Seb clarified, righting himself and allowing his arms to cross lightly over his chest.
He knew that what he'd said was true at the very least. No matter what happened - even if Gem did 'fuck up', that none of them would let anything happen. Not to Snow and certainly not to the newest addition to the family. In fact it was quite obvious that Gem's future child was just being born into a family of body guards, just as Penny and Avery had too.
He also just.. didn't think Gem would fuck this up. As much as he tended to dick around or make bad choices. Sebastian knew this would be the one thing he'd make sure he did right over anything else if it came down to it.
"Yeah, yeah." Sebastian said with a shake of his head. "...Hard to think she would actually believe anyone would hate her." He couldn't help but point out. After all, they'd reserved all their berating for Gem personally. Still, Sebastian sighed after a moment. "...But I suppose I will... have to send you with a nice meal or something, to start as an apology."

Sebastian watched Boo carefully, the hint of a smile still playing on his lips as he shook his head. "I believe you are talking to the most unlucky of all the Moreys." The man pointed out, reaching out and intertwining their fingers together so he could pull her a bit closer, admiring the sight as his opposite hand drifted to run idly over the small of her back.
"They most certainly saw it though. Fortunately this is not a crime. Perhaps just an impending conversation at most." Since as Sebastian said earlier it wasn't as if he wasn't an adult. He was allowed to have people over, he was allowed to hook-up. Usually they didn't stick around for breakfast though.
A few knowing glances would likely be the only thing he'd get from the parentals, at least while Mary was here. It might be a whole different story after the fact, but.. it would be Gem who would be the most annoying to deal with. However if he was lucky? His brother wouldn't venture out for hours, or he'd already be long gone or perhaps never had come home at all.
"...but I suppose breakfast is the least I can do.. Any particular craving?"

As the early morning sounds slowly drifted into Sebastian's consciousness, stirring him awake - he became aware of many things at once. His face buried a little deeper into his pillow, arms crossed comfortably beneath, feeling the warmth and weight of someone settled beside him. A presence he wasn't sure he could even pinpoint the last time he'd felt.
In fact, there were quite a lot of things that had happened the night before that Sebastian couldn't say the exact last time he'd experienced them was. Though it was hard to remember why he'd ever stopped such activities in the first place, given he was still reeling on that high from a night well spent.
His silence was broken by a soft huff at her words, blinking against the light that was slowly beginning to creep into the room as he pushed himself up just a bit, resting on his elbows to turn and glance at Mary - eyes drifting just a bit before he met her gaze.
"...climb out the window?" Sebastian repeated, amusement clear in his still gravely tone. "...what, are we teenagers?" It had been a long time since Sebastian had an overnight guest use alternative exits, after all. Even if... perhaps the prospect was a bit more appealing than dealing with any sort of interrogation.
He shifted again, running a hand through his hair to try and settle it before he rubbed at his eye. "...Suppose that depends on a few things, no? If you are hungry - and if you are willing. Though... there is a very small chance perhaps no one is home."
Though he had his doubts.

The contact did not loosen, and so Sebastian simply readjusted his hand, letting his fingers curl a bit tighter into her own as the walked down the stretch of Main Street, his brow raising slightly at her comments.
"Ah - so you have just been dedicated to the craft." Sebastian teased with a smile and a shake of his head. Though it wasn't something he could say he wasn't experienced with. It was almost the same as knowing he could find shockingly good combinations of things he was allowed to eat and drink - if he was willing to suffer through enough shitty reactions.
"I also imagine you can save anything with a good mixer. No matter how ... shitty the base is. It just needs a little... sprucing up."

Sebastian glanced back down when Gem cleared his throat, offering him some sense of privacy, if it even mattered. Though he nodded at the returned apology, even if he wanted to wave it off. Sure, he wished that things were different - that perhaps the pair of them might've been safer, but.. if they were using protection, if they were being cautious, it was still just the luck of the draw. It was still just the off-chance that something did happen regardless. And sure, Sebastian really wished that Gem might've handled this differently, but... unless Sebastian was in Gemmy's position himself, he wouldn't know what he might've done either.
He'd slept with enough people in his life. Any one of those times, he could have found himself in this situation. Would he have said a word? How long might've he gone without breaking the news?
Sebastian supposed he could count it as a blessing he found out this early at all, regardless of the source.
"I can not really blame you." Sebastian said then with a small shrug of his shoulders, though he slipped out from behind his desk, moving over beside Gem to close the door to his office, shutting off the chance of listening bystanders (of which would only be family or Morey Construction workers), before he let his gaze turn back to Gem.
"...But... You will learn. No one is born knowing how to handle a single thing. That is why we have to experience - and even when experience fails us, we have each other. Whatever you need. You know we are here, right?" Sebastian offered quietly, a small furrow of his brows. "Even if we are stupid - and brash. Even if we yell at you - we are still your family." It was practically their job to berate each other. To scold, and reprimand first, but to be there for support right after. Sebastian knew that was the truth of most of the brothers, and probably all of them at least where Gem was concerned. It might've just taken a little extra time between the reprimanding and support stage.
His hand reached out, softly squeezing the back of Gem's neck.
"We will not let you or Snow sink. No matter what."

"Yeah." Sebastian said with a slight huff, his arms crossing lightly over his chest as he stared back at Gem with a shake of his head - having a small moment of mind-body disconnect as he didn't really think that Gem was a stupid motherfucker or irresponsible idiot. Not that harsh despite his own words. If anything he was just an inexperienced kid that made a mistake. Shit happened.
But why Sebastian couldn't just outright say that was a whole different topic of conversation, something he argued with himself internally as a deep sigh left his lungs, arms uncrossing again before they finally opened in a small uncertain gesture.
"I don't know, Gem. Because I know you don't know what you are doing, because I know you are scared out of your mind. I am not--" He paused here, pinching the bridge of his nose through another deep sigh. "I am not angry at you. Before you say it, I know what I said. I know how I reacted - that was shitty, I know that. You know how I am. That is no excuse but I react. Strongly." Italian, he would have said. I'm Italian. Which was to say he was passionate about his emotions when they got the best of him. Which wasn't often, Sebastian might argue. For the most part, he was the pretty chill brother. Except over the last few years, Sebastian knew that was less and less true when it came to disputes between his siblings. Especially where Dian was involved.
It was rare for it to turn on Gem though.
Perhaps it all boiled down to the same issue as the Dian problem though; no one told him. Maybe that was why Sebastian had been so angry. Again, not an excuse to treat his brother like shit, but to have to find out such information from an Instagram post from Snow and his brother not to have the decency to tell them personally in text, at the least, if not in person...
It sucked. It hurt. It felt like a stab in the back too.
"I'm sorry." Sebastian said instead of pointing the finger though. "You have enough going on. You do not need your idiot siblings piling on you at the same time. So just.." His hand dropped back to the book, the blueprints, shoving them forward.

There might have been a joke, or at least a comment to her last words. Something about how easy it was to get an invitation over to her place, but instead - Sebastian found himself distracted by the warmth that slipped into his hand.
For a second, his gaze dropped down, brows furrowed almost like he was confused by the gesture before he let himself be tugged towards the nightclub. Easily, the taller man fell in line beside her, grappling with whether or not he should shake his hand loose or let it slide, and in the end, Sebastian simply let it be, allowing her to choose whether or not their contact broke free.
"Not terrible. So, does that mean you just keep a good stock or that you just have good taste?" Sebastian found himself asking.

"What the fuck does it look like." Sebastian returned almost immediately, though the hostility in his voice was more resigned than anything. Like he knew that Gem was never going to just take the stuff and leave like Sebastian had wanted. It would have been easier if he had, of course. Something that simply went unaddressed, like most sibling quarrels.
Yet Sebastian knew that his hurt was beyond something that was able to be fought about one day and water under the bridge the next. He knew he'd fucked up in the way he'd handled the situation, but he supposed the news had been so jarring in having to scroll past it on fucking instagram that he'd let it get to him. Perhaps because he'd been hurt too. After all, hadn't they been important enough to tell this to? If Gem had been so willing to talk to him a mere month ago about the prospect, what had changed now that he couldn't tell him about the reality.
It only made Sebastian wonder if perhaps it had been something he'd said? Had he.. failed in his 'older brother' role that he'd never particularly thought he was good at, and made it so Gem thought he couldn't bother to tell them, and rather they just found out on the internet with everyone else?
...worst of all, even if he hadn't before, Sebastian recognized he had certainly failed in the way he'd gone about the rest. Which was perhaps why he'd found himself up all night after the fact. The way his google search history was a sudden mess of parental guidance and advice threads, wondering how to prepare for fatherhood, or deep diving on threads of how to assure someone they'd take on the role just fine.
It was exactly why Sebastian had found himself in Chapter Three too, circling the aisles looking for something in particular.
"You--... You do not listen to anyone. Nothing we tell you-. You will not listen anyway, but.. You read. You like reading. So. I figure many birds, one rock." Sebastian continued after a moment, gesturing towards the book absently. "...You said you do not know what you are doing. It... is supposed to help. Maybe... Maybe it will make things less scary. Or answer questions-- or give you more questions, I do not know. I do not have experience, nor do I think you would want to hear it from me anyway. So. I figured it... might help."
