Temperance (Wanda's Version)
Tumblr media
pairing: wanda maximoff x female!reader plot: Wanda didn't choose to fall for the girl her boyfriend used to bully in high school. But she did. And if there is one thing Wanda Maximoff is known for, it is always getting what she wants. No matter how. warnings: 18+ !! minors dni. wanda is with vision, cheating, stalking and heavy (mind)manipulation, possessive wanda, power-imbalance, dom!wanda, sub!reader, sexual content word count: 2700 a/n: this can be read as a one shot. however, here is the story from the reader's perspective: Temperance Masterlist
At first, it started innocent. As most things do. Sometimes a small puff of air is enough to trigger a whole tornado. And that was exactly the case for Wanda. It wasn't planned that things would turn out the way they did in the end. But let’s start at the very beginning.
Wanda had been in a more or less happy relationship with Vision for about six months when she found out about you. Vision's oldest friends Steve and Bucky were visiting when the conversation turned to what would change everything.
“Remember that one hot chick from highschool?,” Bucky had asked back then.
Wanda entered the living room just at the right time, serving drinks and snacks for the guests. After handing her home made lemonade to everyone, she sat herself down next to Vision, observing the conversation carefully.
“Natasha Romanoff?,” Vision replied smugly, earning a side-eye from Wanda.
“How could I forget. I asked her out and after one date she said i’m too obsessed with my ex,” Steve remembered, before getting interrupted by Bucky.
“Which you still are-,”
Steve lightly hit Bucky’s arm who laughed in response.
“Heads up buddy, at least you didn’t embarrass yourself like y/n did,” Bucky tried cheering up his friend.
The memory made Vision laugh wholeheartedly, slapping his own leg as if Bucky had just cracked the funniest joke ever. Steve however didn’t seem amused, nipping at his glass.
“That’s still the one of the nastiest things you’ve ever done Vision. At least in high school,” Steve noted, shaking his head disapprovingly.
“What did you do?,” Wanda chimed in, her curiosity too great to stay silent.
Vision quickly collected himself, noticing the seriousness in Wanda’s tone, “Oh it was nothing, just read this strange poem she wrote about Natasha but-“
“Out loud. In class. After stealing y/n’s notebook from her backpack,” Steve added quickly.
“Vision what the fuck, why would you do that?,” Wanda questioned horrified, her face a mixture of upset and disgust.
She knew Vision wasn't perfect, but he was a good partner all things considered. However, they never really talked about his teenage years before, so hearing how her boyfriend behaved back then really bugged Wanda in a way she didn't expect. Vision on the other hand tried to play it down.
“Relax babe, it was just a joke. Besides, y/n wouldn’t have had a chance with Natasha anyway. I mean, she turned down Steve,“ he tried to justify his actions, pointing to Steve who looked almost as disappointed as Wanda did.
“I can’t believe you would do something like that,“ Wanda mumbled frustrated.
“Chill Wanda, that was in high school,” Bucky rattled in, trying to defend Vision’s actions.
“Well, he did do something similar in college so-,“ Steve started saying before Vision firmly stopped him.
“Shut up Steve.”
That night Wanda felt like she was lying next to a stranger. Had Vision been a bully before she knew him? Did he have a side that she didn't know of? And what else had he done to you? She wanted answers, but of course she couldn't get them from Vision. But she was desperate for answers. And then it happened again. Wanda never did it on purpose. Sometimes one thing just lead to another. And that’s when she saw you in her mind's eye. How you stood crying in a corner of the schoolyard and how Vision ran after you to take pleasure in your suffering. How he cheekily laughed in your face. The pictures in her mind were vivid, like they were happening right in that moment.
Wanda couldn’t sleep after what she saw, so she decided to get up and search for Vision’s yearbook. It didn’t take long to find you, the photo of you matching with the flashback she had. Her thumb softly brushed over the image of you, as she stared at your younger self. Then, a switch turned inside Wanda. You looked so innocent. So beautiful. How could Vision treat you like that? While browsing through other images in the yearbook, she saw you standing next to Kate Bishop in a bunch of photos. Wanda remembered Kate. They had met some time ago and back then they exchanged their Instagram accounts.
Wanda could have stopped right there. She knew what Vision did and she knew whom he did it to. But for some reason she couldn’t. So instead of leaving things as they are, she went on Instagram, searching through Kate’s account. Not surprisingly, she quickly found yours. You have only gotten more beautiful since high school, Wanda thought to herself as she explored each and every one of your posts, highlights and tagged images.
At the beginning she thought that the feelings she had for you were merely compassion. Born from the fact that she felt sorry for what Vision did to you. Then, slowly but surely, the compassion started turning into admiration. The next days she caught herself searching for your other social media. And then she spent more and more time finding out anything about you that was accessible to her. Where you live, where you work, where you study. That’s when Wanda had to admit to herself, that something was brewing. At least partly.
It’s just an innocent crush.
Wanda thought. But over time, the quiet admiration grew roots, spreading relentlessly, taking up more of her thoughts than she was willing to admit. Looking at pictures of you wasn’t enough anymore. She needed to see you. The first time she went to the bakery you were working at, she couldn’t find you. The second time, she only caught a glimpse of you working in the back. The third time, you seemed to have a day off again. Wanda almost stopped at this point, feeling weird about her own behavior. But then, a few days later, Kate posted a selfie with you in her Instagram story. Seeing your face once again reignited a fire inside her that she was almost able to extinguish. But how could she stop obsessing over you when you looked so pretty?
The fourth time Wanda went to your work place, she finally saw you standing behind the counter as she peeked through the window. You were smiling tiredly as you served a customer, your eyes revealing that you hadn’t slept a lot lately. Wanda thought you looked as precious as ever. Like you belonged in a museum, protected from the ugliness of the world. But then, she froze. What was she even supposed to say to you? There is only a single chance for a first impression. And Wanda wanted it to be perfect. You couldn’t find out that it’s a set up. So, she needed to be smart about it.
What if I just bring her to me?
As the night approached Wanda checked your Instagram again and saw that you posted a story. A donation link for animals in war zones. Wanda’s heart skipped a beat. She remembered how her younger self would be so compassionate about the street dogs in Sokovia and the helplessness she felt from watching them starve on the streets. Now she technically had enough resources to do something good for them. And that’s how Wanda approached Vision, suggesting a trip to Sokovia for a good cause. Vision wasn’t exactly obsessed with the idea but after his dad suggested renting a mansion, and Wanda suggested taking Steve and Bucky on the trip, he was sold. A few days passed until Wanda made her next move, not wanting her plans to be too obvious.
During dinner, Wanda brought up the question she’s been holding back ever since the trip was decided. “Wouldn’t it be nice to invite Kate and her best friend? This one girl you talked about? What was her name again….? y/n?”
Vision who was busy pushing around the peas on his plate, looked up with a grin. For a moment there was utter silence, until Vision started laughing. Wanda however, wasn’t in the mood.
“I’m serious Vision.”
Vision’s laughter stopped, his eyebrows now furrowed. “You’re joking. You don’t even know them.”
Wanda tried to stay calm, her next words precisely calculated. “That’s not true, I met Kate at your birthday party in May. She even told me about this-,” Wanda tilted her head, as if she had to think about it “,-golden retriever she fostered. And she was nice. Besides, I can’t deal with this much testosterone on my own.”
Vision rubbed his eyes, considering Wanda’s suggestion carefully.
“Okay. Kate it is. Fine. But why the fuck would I invite y/n?,” he asked annoyed. But Wanda had expected something like this.
“Well, you have to make up for something, don’t you think?,” she replied confidently.
Vision’s eyes widened, then he laughed again, “There's nothing to make up for Wanda. Besides, why would working without getting any money from it be something desirable.”
Wanda’s demeanor changed quickly, Vision’s reaction seemingly triggering something within her. “I know it’s hard to grasp for your tiny little brain but some people actually enjoy doing something good and meanwhile living in a fucking mansion for three months.”
Then there was silence. The tension in the air was suffocating, as the two of them just stared each other down, both not willing to step back.
“I would rather choke than ask her to join. And how do you even know that Kate and y/n are friends?,” Vision spat out. But Wanda knew what she wanted. And she wasn’t playing around.
“I’m serious Vision. Invite her,” Wanda commanded darkly.
“You can’t just tell me what to do Wanda,” Vision retorted, his tone provocative.
“Can’t I?,” Wanda hinted with a slight smirk, her head tilting to the side. For a moment time seemed frozen, Vision’s gaze becoming emptier as Wanda’s gaze burned into his soul. Then, Vision seemed to snap back into reality.
“Fine. I’ll invite Kate and tell her that she can bring y/n,” he finally announced, before returning his attention to the peas on his plate.
“Good.”
Soon enough, the first day of the trip finally arrived and the first official meeting  between Wanda and you took place at the airport. To her pleasant surprise, Wanda quickly realized that she had a certain effect on you. She was able to trigger something deep within you, without even actively trying. She only had to look at you a little longer than necessary, which wasn’t intentional but the simple result of weeks of anticipation from Wanda’s side. That was enough to fill a hole inside you that you weren’t even aware of. But Wanda was aware of it. She saw it in your eyes. And she felt it in the back of her mind.
It's not that she thought you were weak or naive. She just immediately understood that you had a weak spot for her. And that set something inside Wanda in motion. Suddenly her hidden desires didn’t seem far from reachable anymore.
That same night she had sex with Vision in the room next to you, banging against the wall although there was no need to do so. Faking rough, loud moans although she wasn’t feeling satisfied. But you were supposed to hear it. And while you laid in bed, covering your ears so you wouldn’t freak out, your pretty little thoughts were so loud that it was enough to get her off.
At first she felt a sense of satisfaction from making you nervous. How you sheepishly tried to hide the blush spreading across your face whenever she smiled at you. It didn’t take long until she caught herself acting a certain way in front of you. Sometimes that meant swaying her hips a little more when you were walking behind her. Sometimes she would play with her rings when you were staring at her hands again. Then, one day, she innocently put her hand on your leg under the kitchen table. Just for a quick moment really. But it was long enough for you to slightly squirm under her touch. You thought Wanda couldn’t have possibly noticed. But of course she did. Suddenly it wasn't enough anymore to simply have you wrapped around her finger. She wanted to have you. To own you.
It was all about seduction at this point. Wanda gave you too little to feel hopeful but just enough so you would keep yearning for her. Her hands always somehow found their way to your body but disappeared just as quickly, leaving you confused and unsatisfied. After studying you all this time, she understood how to push your buttons. How to make you addicted to the feeling Wanda gave you.
She wasn’t certain about how long she would be able to keep this play up. But the decision was made for her the day you drove to the shelter together. Wanda just wanted to trigger you a little. She knew how nervous you felt around her, so sitting in a fairly small space together without a way out was the perfect opportunity to fog up your pretty little brain a bit more.
“Babe, I think I want to drive the Lambo today and give y/n a ride. Please?,” Wanda asked innocently, looking up at Vision with a smile, her arm wrapped around his bicep.
“Keep on dreaming, no one’s going to sit their ass down on the passenger seat, apart from me and you, Wanda,” Vision laughed, his tone patronizing.
In a heartbeat, Wanda’s demeanor shifted, her head tilting sideways as her eyes turned to a darker shade, “No Vision. Try again.”
Once again, time seemed to freeze. The others, including you, were just standing there with empty gazes as Wanda stared Vision down. Vision’s gaze drifted towards you, like he was searching for… help? But that is not what happened in your memory, is it?
“Um…,” Vision started saying, his mouth staying slightly agape as his eyes widened. Then, like nothing happened, his face went back to normal, “…sure.”
As you and Wanda sat in the car, Wanda bathed in the sheer enjoyment of overwhelming you. Your inability to say something, probably scared that Wanda would think you’re weird. When you finally spoke up in the middle of the car ride and wanted to learn more about Wanda, the redhead was almost unable to contain her excitement. She felt proud of you for conquering your fears but at the same time she feared for her own composure.
So, on the way back, she didn’t ask you to ride with her again. And as she stepped into the car, she saw your bottom lip trembling slightly. She saw your sad face, your teary eyes. And she saw your exhaustion. That’s when Wanda realized that you couldn’t deal with this situation much longer. Back at your residence, when Kate had to carry you out the car as you were unable to walk to bed, Wanda made a decision. It was time to quit the act and get what’s hers.
The next morning, she wasted no time. Wanda told the others that you’d deserve a day off and that she would make sure that you’re resting well. It didn’t take long after you woke up until her body was pushed against yours, your arousal dripping from your core as Wanda’s hand made its way to your most sensitive spot. After a short interruption from Vision who called out for Wanda to say goodbye, every boundary that had separated you and Wanda began to vanish. All the anticipation from the last weeks melted as she was finally able to get her hands on you without restrictions, owning every inch of you. After all the patience she had, she earned this moment. But the best part was finally hearing the words she had so desperately waited for.
 “I belong to you, Wanda.”
As the words left your mouth, electricity raced through Wanda’s entire body. The one thing she was craving, mostly unconsciously, was finally hers. You were hers.
Wanda didn’t plan things to go that way. At least, for the most part. It wasn’t her fault though, was it? What else could she do? She needed you. Even more than you needed her. And if there is one thing that is certain about Wanda; it’s that she always gets what she wants. One way, or another.

Temperance (3/3)
Tumblr media
pairing: wanda maximoff x female!reader plot: Your best friend Kate convinced you to do charity work in Sokovia with some of your old classmates, including your former bully Vision and his girlfriend Wanda Maximoff, who you inconveniently took too much of a liking in. warnings: 18+ !! minors dni. wanda is still with vision… cheating, implications of stalking and manipulation, possessive wanda, power-imbalance, dom!wanda, sub!reader, nsfw: mild choking, nipple play, thigh riding, orgasm delay, fingering (r receiving), cunnilingus (r receiving) word count: 3150 a/n: i strongly recommend reading part 1 & part 2 first, for context.
When it was time to leave the shelter, you had hoped with every fibre of your being that Wanda would want you to ride with her again. That she wanted to spend more time with you. But she didn’t ask. While watching Vision and Wanda get in their car, you felt a lump forming inside your throat. As your bottom lip started to tremble slightly, you knew that whatever last chance you had to get out of this without permanent damage, just extinguished. The physical and mental exhaustion from the past days caught up to you as soon as you sat down in the backseat next to Kate. You still heard the muffled voices of Steve and Bucky, probably talking about the political and economic state of the world, before the tiredness knocked you out. Kate tried her best to hold your head on her lap more or less steady, wanting you to get the rest you desperately needed.
“Hey y/n, wake up,” Kate whispered softly, while running her fingers through your hair. “We’re here.”
Still half-asleep, Kate helped you with getting out of the car. Holding your eyes open became increasingly difficult, your legs barely able to carry you. You had to wrap your right arm around Kate for support, as the two of you made your way to bed. It might have just been your imagination, but you could have sworn that Wanda’s eyes were fixed on you. Just the thought gave you an adrenaline kick, your heart pumping faster again. But even then, you felt like falling asleep any minute. And as soon as your head hit the pillow, you were out.
The next morning, you woke up feeling at least somehow well-rested. It was the first time since you got here, that you woke up on your own and not from annoying shouting or the sound of Kate’s alarm clock. With your eyes barely open, you looked at the clock on your night stand. It was already 10 a.m. Immediate panic sat in at the thought that you could have possibly overslept. Why didn’t Kate’s alarm go off? Turning to the other side in the expectation to see Kate, you were instead greeted by another familiar face.
“W- Wanda?,” you managed to stutter out, your voice barely audible.
Wanda was sitting on an armchair not too far away from you, directly facing the bed you were sleeping in. “Good morning sleepyhead. I didn’t expect you to wake up so soon,” she said in a calm tone, her lips curved into a warm smile. And although she sounded harmless and sincere, your heart stopped beating for a second.
How long has she been here?
“So… soon? It’s 10 o’clock, we-.. we should be sitting in the car,” you stated while rubbing your eyes.
Wanda chuckled softly, her hands firmly grabbing the armrests for a split second. “Don’t worry about that sweetheart,” Wanda replied, her voice sounding sweet like honey. “We deserve a day off, don’t you think?”
Slightly baffled, you put your head in your hands for a moment, trying to collect yourself. “Did the others leave?,” you questioned, looking up at Wanda again.
“They will leave any minute now,” Wanda responded, almost cooing. “I assured them that I would take good care of you.”
That is when it finally clicked. You weren’t asleep. This was really happening. It felt like all of your blood rushed straight to your face, as the seriousness of the situation finally reached your brain. What the hell was happening? Instinctively, you quickly got up. You needed to talk to Kate.
“That is really nice of you Wanda,” you smiled nervously as you started walking towards the door. “I will just quickly ta-“
But before you could finish, you were stopped by Wanda’s hand firmly pressing against your shoulder. You didn’t even notice that she got up at all. Now she was blocking the door. “Do you know why you’re here y/n?,” she asked sweetly, her eyes burning into yours. Even now, her face looked as calm and content as always. However, her pupils were slightly dilated. It was almost unnoticeable. But not to you. You saw it before.
You swallowed hard, the tension between you and Wanda slowly but surely pressing down on your chest. “Well-… yes. To help the street dogs.”
“No y/n,” Wanda blurted out sternly. “Do you know why you’re here? How you ended up right here? With me?”
You didn’t know what she wanted to hear from you. By now you weren’t able to keep your gaze on her anymore, your stomach feeling lighter with every passing second. “I don’t think I understand-“
Without a warning, Wanda’s hand traveled closer to your neck, her thumb firmly pressing into the soft space between your collarbones. “Vision somehow had to make up for his ugly behavior during highschool, don’t you think?,” she murmured with a small smirk.
Although you were completely hypnotized by Wanda’s behavior, hearing her talk about Vision’s wrongdoings somehow caught you off-guard.
“He told you?”
But she didn’t reply to your question. Instead she intertwined her left hand with yours, your fingers instinctively reciprocating her grip. Wanda’s other hand meanwhile rested on your cheek. “He’s an asshole isn’t he?,” she asked you, her tone genuine. “And you look so pretty and innocent on your yearbook photo, sweetheart. How could anyone ever be mean to you like that?”
“I- uhm, I forgave him. It’s fine. Really.”
You were so distracted by Wanda’s touch that you didn’t ask how she saw your yearbook photo. Besides, she probably just flipped through the pages with Vision right?
“You didn’t deserve any of what he did to you,” Wanda continued as her thumb brushed over your cheek. Her soft thumb and the cold metal from her rings were driving you insane. You felt yourself leaning into her touch without hesitation. Then Wanda spoke up again. “Even years later, there was no sign of regret for his actions.”
You turned your head slightly away from Wanda’s hand, your eyebrows furrowing. “Well, he invited me here right? To make it up?”
Wanda took her hands back to herself, her demeanor changing into something darker. She let out a small chuckle, her face turned to the floor before she looked at you again. “Silly girl.”
She brushed past you, walking towards a small glass table. Your gaze followed her but you didn’t move from your spot. It felt like you were frozen. Stuck. You wondered if the door was locked. If you could leave if you wanted to. But you didn’t check.
Wanda’s back was turned towards you as you heard the sound of metal clinking. “You would let me do just anything to you, wouldn’t you angel?,” she asked while gradually taking her rings off, one by one. With every single ring, you felt the heat between your legs intensifying. It was almost embarrassing how much it impacted you.
“I-”
Before you had time to lose your shit even further, Wanda turned around and walked towards you again. Her voice seemed to cut the tension in the air, as she approached you with a heavy smirk on her face. “Are you wet for me y/n?,” Wanda murmured into your ear, her hot breath giving you goosebumps.
“Wanda I-,“ you whimpered desperately before Wanda interrupted you.
“I know you are.”
Her hand traveled to your abdomen. Whatever common sense you had left at this point, was now completely gone. You felt her index finger sliding under the waistband of your pants. “Say it. Tell me how wet you are…,” she commanded, a second finger sliding inside your pants “,…for me.”
All of a sudden you heard Vision from downstairs, calling out for Wanda. For a moment you had forgotten that he existed. But now a shiver ran down your spine, your heart pumping even faster than before. Wanda on the other hand, didn’t seem to care. By now her entire hand was inside your pants, slowly traveling towards your panties.
Wanda let out a soft moan under her breath, “Your body is aching for me. I feel it.” Her gaze was dark, her pupils covering most of her irises. It felt like you were being preyed upon. But your thoughts were still with Vision and the fear of being caught.
“Vision is-,“ you tried to argue. But Wanda quickly shut you up, removing her hand from your pants and putting it over your mouth, as her gaze became stern.
“Don’t you want to be a good girl for me detka?,” she hissed, pushing her body into yours until you ended up with your back against a wall. You nodded frantically, causing Wanda to smirk again. “Then don’t say his name. He doesn’t matter.”
He doesn’t matter.
Wanda slowly released her grip on you and took a step backwards. Before eyeing you up and down, she turned on her heel and walked towards the door. With a last glance over her shoulder, she opened it and left the room.
“I’m coming babe!,” you heard her call out.
The door was open the entire time. You could have left whenever you wanted to. And you still could. Ultimately, something felt off about the whole situation. Something felt off about the way Wanda talked to you. What she said to you. What she made you feel. While Wanda was gone, you tried to collect yourself. Although you were no longer pressed against the wall, you felt yourself unable to move. In an attempt to gain back control, you were squeezing your legs together, which were almost trembling from the arousal you felt. But then you heard the front door falling shut. By now, the anticipation almost made you faint.
“Oh, sweet y/n,” Wanda cooed as she appeared in the door frame again. As she walked towards you, her mouth stayed slightly agape, her tongue brushing against her upper lip. “All I need to hear from you is that you want me y/n.” When she reached you again, her hands quickly found their way to your waist, slightly pushing your hips towards her own. “And I know you do. But it’s your decision sweetheart.”
“I-… I want you.”
Your eyes widened at your own words. Seemingly brainless, your confession left your lips faster than you had intended. As the words hung in the room, you saw Wanda’s eyelids flutter slightly. She tilted her head, her smirk turning into a big grin. Your hips were still pushing into each other as Wanda slightly lifted her right leg, her thigh now inbetween your legs, holding them open. You couldn't help but let out a soft moan, your body already far too sensitive for what was about to happen.
“You want me to fuck you so bad, don’t you?,” Wanda teased, her thigh dangerously close to your pulsing core. You just nodded eagerly, feeling your eyes already roll to the back of your head. Without warning, Wanda pushed her upper thigh against your pussy, making you groan. “Say it," she demanded coldly.
“I want you,” you started declaring, feeling your arousal soaking through the fabric of your pants “,to fuck me so bad.”
“Such a good girl.”
Wanda's face was just inches apart from yours, her eyes hungrily flickering between your face and your body. As Wanda got closer, you could feel her lips softly brushing against your neck, sending another shiver down your spine. As she softly bit down on your pulse point, you couldn’t hold back any longer. You needed to release the tension that had built up inside your panties. Distressed, you tried to rub against Wanda's thigh, the friction making you groan into her ear. For a few seconds Wanda didn’t react, her mouth still busy with your neck. But then, Wanda took a step back, releasing any contact you had.
“So impatient huh?,” she taunted.
You couldn’t help but squeeze your thighs together, the lust inside you becoming unbearable to endure. As you pressed your lips into a thin line, a whimper escaped. Wanda’s eyes bore into your soul, her gaze filled with desire.
“Shhh pretty girl. You have waited almost six weeks now, haven’t you?,” Wanda murmured under her breath, her hand slowly traveling under your shirt, up to your chest. As her bare hand touched your boob, your mind went completely blank. She started pinching your hardened nipple, her eyes never leaving your face. “Imagine how much patience I’ve had. You can wait for a bit. Let me savor this moment.”
As Wanda roughly squeezed your breasts, every other thought left your body. Maybe you had found yourself in a dangerous situation. Maybe Wanda had you exactly where she wanted to have you. And maybe you didn’t care.
Once Wanda was satisfied with your sore nipples, she let her hands run over your body, down to your stomach. As she crouched down in front of you, pulling your pants down slowly, her eyes lit up even more. The sight of your panties sticking tightly to your pussy was enough to make her feral.
“God, you’re drenched,” she chuckled darkly, licking her lips like she was about to devour you whole.
“Please,” you managed to gulp, looking down at Wanda who watched you vigorously.
Wanda got up carefully, her eyes never leaving yours. You didn’t know what was happening to you. Her energy became darker, more intense with every second. She did not only take over your entire mind. It felt like her aura was crackling all over the room. The redhead’s right index finger slowly slid along your jaw until it stopped at your chin and she grabbed your face.
“Who do you belong to sweetheart?,” Wanda whispered softly. Abruptly, you felt pressure on your clit. Wanda’s left thumb was pushing firmly against your panties, leaving you completely breathless. Her touch was intoxicating.
“I-”, you breathed out before Wanda pressed two fingers into you, your panties still in the way.
“Tell me,” she demanded sharply. Her thumb started circling around your clit, your legs already twitching from the impact. You needed her so bad.
“I… belong to you.”
“Say my name,” Wanda retorted sternly, her fingers pressing deeper and deeper into you. You just wanted her inside of you, filling you up. While Wanda waited for you to reply, the state you were in left you lightheaded. You couldn’t think straight. Or at all. You needed her.
“Wanda-”
“No. Say you belong to me. I want you to say my name,” Wanda growled, pushing your face closer to hers. Your noses were almost touching, Wanda’s hot breath hitting your lips.
It took a lot of energy but you managed to say just what Wanda wanted to hear, “I belong to you, Wanda.”
That was the final drop. In a flash, she pulled your panties to the side and roughly thrusted two fingers into you. Your head was about to fall back in pleasure, but Wanda held your face steady, catching your moan with her open mouth. Your lips met in a passionate kiss, Wanda hungrily soaking up every part of you. Her fingers were curling up inside of you, constantly reinforcing the pressure that was building up. As Wanda noticed the intervals of your muffled moans becoming shorter, she quickly slipped a third finger in. The increased pressure made your knees weak.
“Good girl. You’re taking me so well,” Wanda moaned in-between your kisses, almost sending you over the edge. With every thrust your back hit the wall roughly, but you couldn’t focus on anything else besides Wanda’s touch. As waves of pleasure rippled through your body, every single one added to your approaching orgasm, making you feel like you’re about to explode.
“Please Wanda, I- I’m gonna-.”, you whimpered desperately.
Then suddenly, Wanda stopped. You felt her fingers slipping out of you, leaving your trembling legs barely able to hold your weight. Your immense desire made you squeeze your legs together, the need for release overwhelming you. Meanwhile Wanda put her wet fingers into her mouth, sucking up your arousal.
“Mmh you taste so fucking good baby,” she murmured, her gaze almost haunting. “I want you to cum in my mouth. Think you can do that angel?”
You nodded eagerly, a small whimper escaping your lips.
“Good girl.”
Wanda grabbed you by the waist and helped you get onto the bed. Once you laid down, everything started spinning. Up until that point, you hadn’t realized how dizzy you felt. But in that moment, you couldn’t have cared less. As you felt Wanda taking your soaking panties off, you looked up to see her hungry eyes fixated on your swollen pussy. Then, her eyes met yours again. She quickly climbed on top of you, hovering over your body. As her face was upon yours, your noses touching, her facial features started to soften.
“I will take such good care of you my love. You won’t ever have to worry about anything,” she whispered softly. Her tone was sincere and charged with emotion, leaving you a little baffled. Wanda’s lips met yours again, but this time the kiss was soft and loving. When she pulled away, a soft smile remained on her face. Your eyes got teary at the sudden affection, your brain unable to process what was happening before Wanda went down on you.
Her mouth softly coated your puffy clit, sending electricity through your body. Wanda started slowly sucking on your pussy, moaning at the raw taste of you. Her hands were keeping your waist in place, as your hips kept moving up with every suck. It didn’t take long until your legs started shaking, your orgasm approaching once again.
“F- Fuck Wanda-," you groaned, the immense pleasure overwhelming you. Wanda’s tongue started swirling in-between your folds before dipping inside of you in a steady rhythm. She went harder and harder, her nose simultaneously rubbing against your clit.
“I’m-," you couldn’t finish your sentence, your orgasm washing over you in the same breath. Wanda licked you clean, moaning at the sound of your desperate cries, while you tried to push her head away.
As you came down from your high, Wanda got up and laid down next to you. You were facing each other when she wrapped an arm around you, pulling you closer. Her gaze was filled with something more than sheer desire and lust. You had seen it in her eyes the first day you met each other. She looked at you like you were the center of her universe. Like nothing else mattered. With a satisfied smile on her face, she rested her forehead on yours.
“You’re mine y/n. Don’t you ever forget that.”
You didn’t even need to answer. Wanda knew that she was right. And so did you.

: Part 1
Once again, you laid awake at night, thinking about Wanda. Ever since you've met her, she's been the only thought on your mind. Well, not quite literally. Of course you still had time to worry about other things. But as soon as you laid in silence, it felt like your brain was broken. No matter how hard you had tried, in the end it was all Wanda. You were sure that after this trip you'd have to put yourself in a mental hospital. Or at least have a bunch of therapy sessions. How else were you ever supposed to return back to your normal life after you met her?
“Time to get up you fuckers!,” roared Bucky from the ground floor. His raspy voice echoed through the halls of the huge building you were sleeping in. Still half asleep, you turned to the side and looked at the time.
Fucking hell.
You felt like you've been hit by a truck. Before you even had a chance to sit upright, the door swung open.
“Get up, princesses. You don't get paid for lying around.” ordered Bucky, who was still standing in the doorway in his pyjamas.
“Bucky, we're not getting paid at all. Besides, it's only 6 o'clock. Since when do we get up so early?” you replied, obviously annoyed.
It wasn't that you didn't feel like helping anymore. Making a difference was a nice feeling, especially because you felt like you hadn't contributed anything meaningful to the world in recent years. You might as well have not existed at all, you always thought to yourself. The days were all just a blur. But now you were here and everything was different. Getting up earlier also meant seeing Wanda for longer. You didn't quite know if that was a good thing or a bad thing. You wanted to see Wanda. Of course you wanted to see her.
“We are getting paid with love and gratitude, so get up,” Bucky said firmly. He grabbed the first object he could find, in this case luckily a stuffed animal, and threw it at Kate, who was still asleep next to you.
“You too Kate!,” Bucky warned.
“I'm awake!!!,” Kate grumbled and threw the stuffed animal back in a heartbeat, right against Bucky's head.
Wanda and Vision were asleep in the next room. On your first day here, you thought that would be a good thing. At least you'd be close to Wanda. However, Vision wasn't included in your calculations. The first time you heard banging against the wall between your room and theirs, followed by dampened moans, a cold shiver ran down your spine.
No fucking way.
You had met Wanda for the first time less than 24 hours earlier. When you and Kate were standing in front of Vision's luxurious private jet, you almost failed to see the vehicle. You were busy working on your suitcase when you looked up and saw her. Wanda was standing just a few centimeters in front of you, talking to the pilot, when she looked over and smiled at you. In that very moment, your world has been turned around. You don't know if you imagined it, but she wasn't just quickly grinning at you. It felt like minutes were passing, the pilot next to her engrossed in a long monologue. You don't know what he was talking about. All you know is that at some point you had to break eye-contact because it felt like she was starring right into your soul. Almost like she was reading your mind. Since then, it's been all going downhill. Getting up early means seeing Wanda for longer. And seeing Wanda is probably not good for you. You can't bear a broken heart right now. You just wanted to help dogs.
“Vision get your ass up and put some clothes on man, that's disgusting,” you heared Bucky shout from next door.
Why am I still doing this to myself?
By 8 o'clock, everyone had managed to get out the door reasonably fresh. Vision had rented two extremely expensive cars from his daddy money, which you used every morning to drive to an animal shelter in the north. The journey took about 40 minutes. Something that could have been easily avoided if you hadn't had to rent the only available mansion in Sokovia. But who were you to judge.
“Babe, I think I want to drive the Lambo today and give y/n a ride. Please?”
You turned to your right and saw Wanda looking up at Vision with an innocent smile, her arm wrapped around his bicep. You didn't know what to say. Whether you should say anything at all. Why would Wanda want to give you a ride? Does she want to be alone with you? Would you even survive being alone with her? Vision looked at Wanda critically, then his eyes drifted to you.
“Um…sure,” Vision replied, somewhat perplexed. He seemed just as surprised as you were.
“I'm going with you guys,” Kate said almost in the same breath and put her arms around Steve and Bucky.
Of course Kate knew how you felt about Wanda. You told her straight away, otherwise you probably would have gone mad. Now she grinned mischievously at you.
And suddenly you found yourself alone in the car with Wanda. You don't remember how you got into the car, but you could swear your heart was pounding in your throat. Wanda, on the other hand, looked calm. She always looked calm around you, as if nothing could faze her. She had her left hand on the steering wheel, her right arm resting loosely on the center console. You couldn't read her. Not even close. Her eyes were fixed on the road, a small, satisfied smile on her lips. You, on the other hand, were nervously playing with your hands and tried to keep your focus on your surroundings. While you started counting the trees you were passing in a desperate attempt to not lose your shit, you noticed that the ride was already halfway over and Wanda hadn't said a word.
Why did she want to drive with me if she wasn't going to say a word to me? Does she expect me to say something?
But what could you say? You didn't know much about Wanda and you got incredibly nervous around her. It's not as if you had nothing to say. The contrary was the case really. You wanted to know everything about her. What her favorite books are, what movies remind her of her childhood, what perfume she wears. What perfume does she wear? Whenever Wanda was close to you, you felt almost bewitched. Her smell was definitely etched somewhere into your brain. But you couldn't ask that. Sometimes it's better to say nothing than to break something. Something that doesn't even exist yet.
But then you looked to the side. And Wanda smiled at you. You hadn't noticed that you were standing at a traffic light. The first rays of dawn shone into her moss-green eyes and you couldn't think straight. You had to take the chance.
“Hi,” was the only word that left your lips. You said it quickly and energetically, as if you had just met each other randomly on the street.
Wanda smirked and returned a somewhat confused “Hi?,” before the traffic light turned green and her gaze went back to the road.
Great y/n, really great.
After you managed to somehow compose yourself, you tried again. “I-... wanted to thank you. For letting me see the Lamborghini from the inside. That's really kind of you.”
Wanda chuckled, her eyes still focused on the road, “Don't be silly. It's my pleasure.”
Usually either Wanda or Vision were driving the Lamborghini to wherever you guys were needed. But it was always the two of them, alone, together. The rest of you would take the other car. At first you were upset about you and Wanda never driving together. Sure, Kate, Steve and Bucky were probably a lot more fun to drive with. But you were wondering what kind of music Wanda was listening to. If she had a certain playlist she would put on in the car. Now you were sitting next to her and the volume of the music was too quiet to hear much.
“What song is this?,” you asked quietly. It was supposed to come out louder, more confident.
Wanda turned her head slightly towards you again.
“Excuse me?”
You could already feel the blood rushing to your cheeks. She didn't understand you. And now that you had to repeat the question, you realized how stupid it was. You could have asked something, just anything else. Show that you're interested in her. But instead-
“Y/n?,” Wanda asked with a worried look. Her head tilted a little to the side. You were getting so hot it was almost unbearable.
“Sorry, did you say something?,” you asked, your cheeks flushed.
Wanda was silent for a moment and then smirked again.
“Y/n, you were saying something.”
“Oh, I'm sorry. I-. Just asked what song is playing. But that was a stupid question-”
Before you could finish, Wanda firmly put her hand on yours. You hadn't realized that you were nervously tugging at the hem of your jacket. Now her hand was holding yours still.
“You don't have to say you're sorry sweetheart,” she said with a calm expression, her eyes fixed on the road again. Wanda lifted her hand from yours and turned the volume up. You immediately missed her touch. How intense it felt. As you looked to the side, you saw Wanda smiling.
“This song is one of my favorites. My brother and I listen to it all the time when we hang out.”
“You have a brother?” you asked, genuinely interested.
“Yes, a twin brother," Wanda replied, her smile only getting bigger. “His name is Pietro. We were attached by the hip when we were kids.”
You spent the rest of the journey talking about Wanda's family and why Pietro wasn't in Sokovia to help the street dogs. Wanda had suggested it to him, but according to Wanda, Pietro has “more important things to do”. It turned out that Kate was right; it was Wanda's idea to come here. As a child, she had always wanted to take all the street dogs home with her, but her parents didn't have the money or resources for a pet. They could barely support the family.
“Today I'm in a position where I can really make a difference. I guess that is all I have ever wanted. Changing something for the better,” Wanda said, her tone carrying sincerity.
“You should be really proud of yourself Wanda,” you responded, the admiration you felt for the woman in front of you written all over your face.
“Thank you y/n. I really appreciate it,” Wanda retorted, placing her hand gently on your knee. Even through the fabric of your jeans, you could feel how soft her hand was. Her index finger began to circle around on your knee and it took a lot of self-control to not let out any inappropriate noise. You bit your bottom lip to suppress your building excitement, your eyes everywhere but on Wanda. You two just had your first decent conversation and you weren't about to let it go to waste. But before you could collect yourself, the hand on your knee lifted and you felt two fingers under your chin. Wanda turned your face effortlessly in her direction. One could think that the look on her face was innocent and sweet. That her thumb didn't intentionally brush against your bottom lip, trying to get a reaction out of you. But you knew better.
“You don't have to hold back y/n. You can't hide from me anyway,” Wanda murmured, her grip on your chin slightly tightening.
And before you could process what situation you were in, your alone time was over. Wanda couldn't even bring the car to a halt, Vision already knocking on the window with a smarmy grin on his face. He had once again shoved a toothpick between his teeth, probably because he thought it would make him look cooler. When Wanda got out without looking back at you, Vision took a good swing and slapped Wanda on the butt. You didn't understand how Vision had managed to pull Wanda. You wondered if Wanda knew how Vision treated you back in school. How could Wanda fall in love with such an asshole?
“Y/n?,” you suddenly heard from your right side. Kate had opened the passenger door for you and was grinning in your face.
“Are you ready?” she asked with a sly smile.
Without Kate, Vision would probably have bullied you into adulthood. But rich people always have to play nice with each other. Being friends with Kate has at least always guaranteed that no one dares to put you down. And somehow she's become your anchor ever since.
“Sure, I'll come,” you said a little frantically and got out of the car.
Today you were just on site, making sure that all the new arrivals were bathed and cared for. It was actually a relaxing job, but your mind was racing. You kept losing your focus when the redhead crossed your path. You tried to stay cool, to pretend that you hadn't been up all night because your thoughts about Wanda wouldn't let you sleep.
“And? How was the ride?” Kate asked excitedly as she sat down next to you on a bench, a little away from the others.
“Good, I think.”
“Good, what else?”
“Nothing more.”
Kate sighed and looked at you critically.
“Come on y/n. You've wanted nothing more than to be alone with Wanda all these days. And now you're saying it was good?”
Kate had this way of not leaving you alone until she heard what she wanted to hear from you. And in the end, you couldn't hide anything from Kate anyway. So you started to tell her. What you talked about, that Wanda told you about her family. And, of course, that her hands had found their way to you. Once again. She's been driving you crazy the last few days. Sometimes it's a light touch on your arm, sometimes a hand on your shoulder, sometimes her hands end up on your hips. You wondered if you were just imagining the magnetic bond between you two. Maybe Wanda was just a touchy person in general. It wouldn't be the first time you imagined someone liked you more than they actually did.
“Well, Wanda hasn't touched me, as far as I know, in the last few days. Or at all,” Kate recalled.
“Do you think I'm imagining things Kate?,” your concern clearly written on your face.
“I don't know y/n. But either way, you should be careful. We don't know Wanda well and I don't want you to come out of this hurt.”
You really wanted to listen to Kate. But deep down, you knew it was already too late. You were too deeply invested in this. Wanda already had you wrapped around her little finger. And it wasn't just you who knew that. Wanda was aware of it too.

Patience is a virtue. Patience is the solution. These have been your only thoughts for days now. From a self-imposed affirmation to a recurring echo in your head, this reminder is all you had to get through the situation at hand. What else could you do? Keep trying to ignore your desire? The craving that has kept you awake for days and nights?
The thing is, you may be able to trick your brain for a while. Convince yourself that the way her nose wrinkles when she grins doesn't do anything to you. That the way her middle and ring finger draw the same patterns over and over again on the pages of her book whenever she is deep in thought, doesn't stir something inside of you. That the muffled moans coming from her and Vision's room at night don't bother you. Your brain has managed to lie to itself for a long time, but you can no longer ignore what Wanda is doing to you. So instead of denying your feelings, you decided that you have to sit through them. Until you can finally leave this place.
You weren't planning on pining after your old classmate's girlfriend, but here you were. Miles away from home, locked up with the constant reminder that you can never be with Wanda the way you want to. Originally, the three months in Sokovia were supposed to fulfill you. You just wanted to take care of the local street dogs with your best friend Kate. Do something good. That was it.
“Come on y/n, you've always had a heart for street animals,” your best friend said to you at the time. Back then she turned up at your door without a warning and told you about this great trip Vision had planned.
“Kate, I barely got anything done last semester. I can't waste another one. Besides, my boss never gives me that long of a vacation.”
You knew Kate wouldn't leave your apartment until you said yes. You could tell by the way her eyes were gleaming. How she slightly bend over the table you were sitting at, her gaze not leaving you for one second. Of course, the whole thing is much easier for Kate. Her mother is filthy rich. Kate can basically do whatever she wants. She could disappear for one year, travel the world with money she didn't earn and wouldn't have to worry about her life back home for one moment. You don't have that luxury.
“Think about it. First of all, you do something that fulfills you. Besides, I know you y/n. You haven't wanted to work in that rancid bakery for months. We'll find something new for you afterwards. Not to mention that volunteering to help street dogs for three months looks great on your CV. Plus: I heard Vision rented a mansion”
Vision. The name alone triggered something in you. Vision is not only the son of the famous billionaire Tony Stark, but also a giant asshole. Before Vision knew you were friends with Kate, he took every opportunity to trigger you in some way. Like standing in front of your locker with his group of followers for no reason, just so you couldn't get to it. The worst thing he ever did was probably when he stole your notebook and read out loud in class what you had written about your former classmate Natasha. Some cheesy and cringe poem you managed to suppress from your memories. From that day on, it wasn't just the whole school that knew you liked women. You also were never able to look Natasha in the eye again. But Vision somehow always managed to come out of it okay. His reputation was disgustingly squeaky clean.
“It's so weird imagining Vision doing something voluntarily that doesn't serve only himself. Are you sure he isn't just joking?,” you had asked back then.
“I think he has really changed since high school. Besides, his girlfriend is originally from Sokovia and I think it was her idea? I don't know for sure. But please, y/n, join me. I'd do anything to spend more than an hour a week with my best friend. And this is a once in a lifetime opportunity! Vision specifically asked if you want to join.”
You've never been able to deny Kate a wish. But also, it's never led you into such a miserable situation before. So this is where you were. In a villa far too grand for it to feel like a prison. Besides Vision, Wanda and Kate, there were two other old classmates; Steve and Bucky. Living together turned out to be easier than you thought, especially considering the fact that Vision was there. But your feelings for Wanda kept causing you problems. Whenever the redhead came near you, you started to stumble over your words. One long look alone could throw you completely off balance. But it was even worse when she smiled at you. When she listened to you and her head slightly tilted at the same time. Or when you were cooking and she suddenly appeared behind you, her hand softly placed around your waist and her head set down on your shoulder.
“What are you blessing us with this evening?,” she inquired with an almost teasing tone in her voice.
Before you were able to even articulate anything, she took her free hand, slid it along your arm and took the wooden spoon out of your hand.
“May I?,” her voice dangerously low, as she already moved the spoon towards her mouth, looking straight at you. You just gulped and managed a small nod as Wanda put the spoon in her mouth, her gaze never leaving you as she sucked it clean. Her green eyes were barely visible as her dilated pupils covered them almost completely. A soft moan escaped from her lips as she handed the spoon back to you.
“You're so good at this y/n,” Wanda groans, her hand which still holds onto your waist making its way to your lower back, smoothly slipping under your loose t-shirt. The cold rings on her fingers on your warm skin immediately sent shivers down your spine. Her pinky slightly slipped under the waistband of your sweatpants before she left you standing alone in the kitchen.
She must do this on purpose. There is no other way.
You thought to yourself. But what was the use? Either you are right and she does it on purpose or you are wrong and project your fantasies onto her. In both cases, it is best to simply stay away from Wanda. Because there is no way you don't end up completely fucked. Right?

Sunday
“And I regret everything I said that-, I regret what I-…. I- Come on Max, get your shit together.. I am more than sorry for what I said to you but-, no, no but.”
Max had been practicing her apology back and forth as she made her way towards y/n’s place. And she would have already been there more than an hour ago, if it wasn’t for her frayed nerves. Because when she finally stood in front of y/n’s home, her courage had suddenly left her. Ultimately she decided to go back and stroll around the neighborhood for a little longer before confronting her best friend. Since one thing she didn’t plan on doing, was messing this up.
Her head was filled with a hundred different thoughts, which she had all written down on a piece of paper. By now it was crumbled inside her fist, since she’s been holding onto it like her life depended on it.
“I cannot live without you y/n and no mat-…..god no, that sounds so manipulative. Again… I cannot imagine a life without you… yea that’s better.”
But the redhead’s mind was also filled with doubt about the entire situation. She thought about just going back to her trailer multiple times in the past couple of minutes. Worrying about whether y/n would be able to forgive her, she tried to prepare herself for the worst outcome.
About an hour later, Max finally stood in front of y/n’s door. She quickly folded her note again and put it in her back pocket. It took her a few minutes to collect herself but she managed to overcome her fears and pressed the doorbell after all. While she was waiting for someone to open the door, she kept practicing her first sentences out loud.
“Hey y/n, I was wondering if you have time to talk? To me? No, that sounds so stupid. Hi y/n. Do you by any chance have a minute or two for me? No. Hey, could we maybe talk?… God, why does-“
Her practice was soon interrupted as someone surprisingly tapped her on the shoulder.
“Max?”, a familiar voice asked from behind her.
As Max turned around she saw y/n with a half-smile on their face, standing awkwardly in front of her. They put their hands behind their back and stood as straight as possible.
“Oh uhm-.. hey y/n.”, Max greeted them, obviously embarrassed.
“Hi Max… Uhm, lucky for you I do have one or two minutes.”, y/n declared, trying to ease the tension a little.
Understanding that y/n had heard Max’s rambling, a red taint started spreading across her face. It wasn’t like y/n had never heard Max practice her sentences before. They knew exactly how she behaves in similar situations, nervous to say something that comes across different than she intends it to. But still, it just hit a wrong nerve in that very moment.
“Well we’re off to a good start. Great.”, she whispered to herself.
Already sorry for making Max uncomfortable, y/n’s smile dropped quickly. They always secretly admired their best friend for her efforts to find the right words. And they admired her right now. It just wasn’t the right moment to admit to it. As the two of them just stood there in silence, y/n decided to take the lead.
“Shall we sit by the oak tree? To talk?”, y/n asked in a soft tone.
Max just nodded in response, following y/n as they started walking towards the tree. It was actually one of their favorite places in Hawkins. The oak tree looked like it came out of a fairytale, old and mystical. Sitting underneath it just felt like entering a different realm, but an exceptionally magical one. Also, they would sit there often, as it is the only bench in the vicinity of like five miles.
When they arrived, y/n sat down on the old bench and patted the spot next to them. Hesitant about where exactly to sit, Max sat down at the other end of the bench.
“Okay so. There is no easy way to say this but..”, the redhead started off saying.
She fumbled inside her pockets until she found the almost completely demolished note she‘s been carrying around. Looking over to y/n, Max saw their eyes widen.
“Don’t judge okay, there is a lot to say and I don’t want to forget anything.”, Max mumbled, still unsure of how to approach this situation.
Y/n shook their head, also unsure of what to expect. They were still a little hurt by Max’s words. Her voice was still replaying in their head now and then, reminding them how upset they felt in that situation. It was probably the most hurtful thing someone has ever said to them. They didn’t mind random strangers or people at school insulting them anymore. But hearing it from your own best friend? That just hits in a different place.
Nevertheless, y/n missed Max badly. More than they have ever missed anyone. It was weird going about their every day life, knowing that Max wasn’t there to vent to. Spending no time with her. Not knowing what was going on in her life. Ultimately, y/n knew that they were the one who actively decided to isolate themselves and cut Max off. But god, how much they wished things to be different again.
“Me judging you? Never. I’m all ears.”, y/n replied honestly, focusing their gaze on Max.
“So uhm… as we both know I made a mistake.”, she started off saying while unfolding the piece of paper. She then took a small pause, waiting for y/n’s agreement.
However, y/n showed no reaction as they kept on waiting for Max to continue. The redhead focused her attention back on her paper and cleared her throat.
“And on that day, I said the words that I said and there is no excuse for that. However, I would like to explain why I was an asshole in general on that day.”
Max’s mom had the habit of drinking too much. Well, that’s at least the more innocent way to describe it. After all, she was what people would call an alcoholic. Coming home each day and not knowing what exactly to expect wasn’t easy for Max. Although she was supposed to be a carefree teenager, it felt like she had to be the mom in the household.
When Max came home last Sunday, her mom was asleep on the couch, a half empty bottle standing right next to her. Since Max didn’t have the energy to wake her mom up, she simply emptied the other half of the bottle and put it away. After that, she covered her mom in a blanket and went to bed herself. It wasn’t the first time for a situation like this to happen and it surely wouldn’t be the last time.
But the next morning, Max’s actions had a different outcome. Usually her mom would barely remember the night before. But on this monday morning, she came storming into Max’s space.
“Where is my bottle Maxine??”, she shouted almost incomprehensible.
Max, who was barely awake, opened her eyes and looked over to her enraged mother.
“Mom I-, I don’t know.”, she replied, not knowing how to estimate the situation.
“Don’t act stupid young lady. Where is it??”, her mom shouted out again, walking over to her half-asleep daughter.
Max didn’t answer quick enough, still confused by her mom’s sudden outburst. In response, her mother grabbed her by the wrist and continued shouting at her.
“Where the fuck is it??”, she spit at her.
“Mom let me go!! I threw it away okay! Now let me go!”, Max demanded desperately, trying to free herself from her grip.
Her mother just starred at her in disgust, her anger still owning her.
“I wish I never had you Maxine Mayfield. Next time you touch my stuff I won’t be as nice to you.”, she replied sternly, letting go of Max’s wrist.
After Max was finished with her explanation of the certain monday morning, y/n couldn’t say a word at first. They just starred at Max, unsure of what to say. The redhead noticed that y/n was overwhelmed with her confession, so she tried to ease the tension and play it down a little.
“But let’s not make a big deal out of it. Facts are, I lied to your face when I said you’re annoying just to get my anger out and I tried to hurt you because I can’t deal with having people around me that actually care about me and-“, Max tried to carry on.
“No Max, stop. Don’t. It is a big deal and I can’t believe that happened to you. That’s horrible. I’m so sorry.”, y/n interrupted Max. They scooted closer to her and put their hand on hers, trying to show support.
All of a sudden, the physical affection and y/n’s words made Max get emotional. Tears started forming inside her eyes, as she took y/n’s hand and pressed on it. This was the first time she told someone about what happened. By now she had almost forgotten how hard it hit her, how horrible it made her feel.
Not saying anything after that, Max started crying hardly. All her bottled up emotions about the situation just started spilling, especially since she wasn’t able to tell y/n about it until now. She planned on doing so, but then things got ugly.
Y/n took Max inside their arms and held her close until her sobs got quieter. It was relieving for both of them in a way. They let themselves linger in the moment, enjoying each other’s presence to the fullest. Max’s note slipped out of her hand without her even noticing, slowly drifting away to wherever the wind took it.
“I’m so sorry y/n. I really am. I hate myself for the way I treated you. You know I would never agree with those bullies. Ever. You never annoy me, I just-… I was an asshole.”, Max whispered softly, still cuddling into y/n.
As she pulled away, y/n wiped Max’s tears away. For a short moment they just admired their best friend. The way she’s been handling things over the past years that no one else could even imagine amazed y/n to the core. It always has but it became so normal to Max to live under such conditions, that it became normal for y/n too.
“You are always there for me y/n. Even when I’m being a pain in the ass. And you know it means the world to me. You’re caring and kind. You’re always listening to what I have to say. And everyone who calls you annoying simply doesn’t deserve you… I don’t deserve you.”, the redhead spoke out with a broken voice.
“That’s bullshit Max. You do deserve me. You deserve everything good the world has to offer.”, y/n replied in a soft tone as they put a strand of Max’s hair behind her ear.
“But I hurt you y/n and I wa-“, Max tried to say before y/n interrupted her.
“Yes Max. I won’t lie to you, I was hurt. It hurt really badly. But I forgive you and I do understand where you were coming from now. I’m sorry for not being able to be there for you.”, y/n admitted.
Once again, Max was the one to have a small break down. She collapsed into y/n’s arms, but this time she broke down from relief. Max knew how much of an asshole she was, and still y/n was able to forgive her.
“You’re not supposed to be the one to apologize.”, Max complained in a muffled tone, as her face was pressed into y/n’s shoulder.
Y/n patted her back softly, as they rested their head on Max’s head.
“I’m… sorry? For apologizing?”, y/n slowly spoke out, making Max look up. She softly giggled at her friend’s response.
“You’re such a dork y/n.”, she replied, making y/n giggle. The redhead just starred at y/n after that, admiring them. “And you’re the best person I know… You’re the only one that ever truly cared about me. And you’re supportive, attentive… loving…”
Max got lost in her thoughts as her gaze kept lingering on y/n’s lips, which were forming a small smile. She didn’t know what struck her in that moment, but before y/n could even react, Max pulled their best friend closer to her face and placed her lips on theirs.
Both of their mind’s just went blank, y/n too startled to kiss back at first. But just before Max was about to pull back again, y/n placed their hand on her cheek and moved their lips against hers. The kiss was soft and gentle but intense at the same time. Max’s hand pressed on y/n’s arm softly, scared y/n would slip away again any moment.
It wasn’t only the closest act of intimacy they had ever shared, it was the reunion of two people, who had been feeling lost for a while and now finally returned home. Who found each other again.
After the two of them let go of each other, they put their foreheads together, their noses slightly touching.
“Promise, I won’t ever let you go again. And I won’t ever hurt you again.”, Max whispered softly, making y/n’s already bright smile even brighter.
Y/n took Max’s hand in theirs, placing a soft kiss on her knuckles.
“I know.”, they replied quietly.
A/N: I know this took a loooong time but I’m moving out soon and things are stressful. Also there might be a few mistakes, my brain is lazy atm. So with that being said, I hope you still enjoy this part and you’re happy with the ending 🤍 also my tumblr doesn’t find most of yours tags for some reason 😫 sorry </3

Friday
Being lonely certainly wasn’t an unfamiliar feeling to Max Mayfield. Growing up in an abusive household, having an addict as a mother and being the witness of your own brother’s death were the type of things that don’t just pass you by. They shape you as a person and force you to change your behavior in certain ways. Most of that in order to just get through your every day life. And even if things in Max‘s life got even worse after moving from California to Hawkins, there was one positive aspect in between all the bad.
Since knowing y/n l/n, Max had no longer felt lonely. Back home Max had one good friend but besides that she had always felt like an outcast after her family situation changed. No one was there to turn to when she had something heavy on her chest. But since y/n entered her life, things changed drastically. Even if they were nowhere near, Max knew that she could always count on them.
When things got bad at home again, y/n was there to cheer her up. They would listen to every thing she had to say and they would hold her as long as she needed to. When Billie died, y/n was the only person that could comfort Max. Not only that, but they were the only person that she would let near her at all. When everything in Max’s life began to feel uncertain, there was still one thing that she could be certain of. That y/n would never leave her alone. Ever.
That was at least until now. Today was the first time in years that Max felt lonely again. Wandering through the hallways of school like a lost puppy, it took everything inside of her not to break down. Besides the fact that Max herself thought that she didn’t have the right to cry about it in the first place, she mastered the art of hiding her feelings over the last couple of years and she wouldn’t want to break her streak.
Y/n always made her soft somehow, giving her the chance to cry it all out. And although she usually despised crying, being inside y/n’s arms, feeling as safe as she did, somehow it had felt okay to cry. But y/n was nowhere near and they wouldn’t be until Max found a way to fix things.
“Hey Max!”, a familiar voice greeted from behind her as she had just left the building.
As she turned around she saw Lucas running up to her. Already unamused by the thought of a social interaction, Max turned her face forward again.
“What do you want Lucas?”, she asked annoyed as he caught up to her. The redhead just tried to keep on walking, signaling him that she was not in the mood to talk.
Lucas didn’t catch the hint though and jogged in front of her. Stopping in his tracks, he forced Max to stop with him.
“I was wondering if you’d like to come to my game this evening!”, he asked excitedly, raising his eyebrows.
“Yes, of course Lucas! I’m obviously in a really good mood so why wouldn’t I want to watch a bunch of men pass around a ball? It would probably change my miserable life for the better!”, Max answered overly excited.
Lucas excitement dropped as soon as the first sentence left her mouth.
“That’s sarcasm isn’t it?”, Lucas said in a disappointed tone.
“I’m busy Lucas, thank you.”, she replied quickly, trying to get past him.
Lucas had been worrying about Max since the beginning of this week, especially since she started walking around school without y/n by her side. Everyone had noticed a change of things, but no one really dared to ask Max about it. Especially after she ditched Dustin as fast as she did when he had asked. But Lucas was sick of playing pretend like the rest of the party, so he stepped in front of her yet again.
“Does this have something to do with the y/n situation? You know you can talk to me Max. I’m right here.”, he commented softly, trying to make Max talk to him.
“I’m good, thank you.”, Max almost spit out.
“I know y/n can be a little too much sometimes but if they said something insensitive they probably didn’t mean it Max. Out of all people-“, Lucas tried to explain before getting interrupted by an angered Max.
“Stop Lucas, you don’t know shit!”, she shouted angrily.
Before continuing to scream at him, her mind went blank for a second. The last time she acted purely out of emotion, it went completely backwards. Some part of her knew that Lucas just meant well. He was worrying about her and how is he supposed to know what was going when Max gave him nothing but a silent treatment? The rest of the party didn’t know y/n like she did. Lucas just wanted to help.
Looking at Lucas shocked expression, Max took a deep breath and collected herself.
“I’m sorry. Y/n did not say anything remotely insensitive at all. I was the one who acted foolish, hurting y/n because I didn’t know how to deal with my anger otherwise. And now I’m doing it again by screaming at you… I almost sound like my step-father.”, Max articulated calmly, mumbling the last part.
Lucas’ face softened again, his posture relaxing as Max finished her sentence. He knew that Max wasn’t a hugger, so instead he put his hand on her shoulder and gave her a smile.
“But see? It looks like you’ve learned your lesson Max. The only thing the past is good for is to learn from mistakes and you obviously did that!”, Lucas explained. “Besides, since you like y/n, I guess it’s just harder to deal with so many emotions at once.”
Max’s eyes shot up at Lucas, unsure of what she had just heard.
“What?”, Max replied nervously.
“Come on Max, I see the way you look at them. I always did.”, Lucas commented like it was the most obvious thing in the world. “Plus, and don’t take this the wrong way, but you have your habit of pushing people away that you love”
The redhead still didn’t believe what she was hearing while a red taint had already started covering her face. Her hands became sweaty as her heart beat faster and faster. Not aware of her current condition, she just starred at Lucas in Disbelief.
“Max ? You look like you’re gonna faint.”, the boy in front of her said nervously.
“I- I’m- I’m good. But I really need to go Lucas, see you around.”, Max managed to stutter out.
Turning around with a sudden movement, Max rushed towards the bus stop. As her thoughts became more loudly by the minute, she put her headphones on and sat down on a bench, trying to catch some air. Lucas’ words were stuck in her head for the rest of the day.
Saturday
The weather was crushing over the past two days. It was hot outside but not the good kind. More like the stuffy kind. It was the type of weather that left y/n with nothing to do besides laying in bed with an ice pack on their forehead. Shortly before dehydrating, they would remember to take a sip from the bottle Max had gifted them for their last friendship anniversary. Y/n had the habit of forgetting to drink over the day, so Max always had to remind them.
“Y/n, have you been drinking enough today?”, Max asked worriedly as she turned y/n’s face towards hers.
Y/n was laying on their back half-asleep, their head in Max’s lap. Almost unable to open their eyes, they just nodded without thinking too much about it. As they tried to turn their face back to the movie that’s been on, Max stopped them.
“I’m going to get you some water, stay here.”, she insisted, carefully lifting y/n’s head up before making her way to the fridge.
As y/n was slowly drifting to sleep again, they felt a cold sensation on their neck. Content about the refreshing feeling, they snuggled into the blanket underneath them and sighed happily. But just a second after, the cold sensation was gone.
“Uh uh y/n, you’re gonna have to drink at least two sips from this before you sleep baby.”, Max commanded as she took the bottle that’s been resting on y/n’s neck back to herself again.
Opening one eye only, y/n still managed to glare at Max who just gave them a smug smile.
“Fine.”
Daydreaming through all the good memories with Max, y/n had to remind their self that things didn’t look good for their friendship at the moment. The past days were hell on earth for them, as y/n distanced themselves from literally everyone they cared about. Now and then they wondered if Max’s apology was truthful, if she meant what she said. Other times they were sure that it was just wishful thinking. For both of them.
A/N : wanted to get this out of there before the final part, bc 1. i don’t want to rush things and 2. i don’t want to make you guys wait any longer. sunday is approaching 🧚🏼‍♂️ (i tried to proof-read this but it’s literally 34 celsius outside so my brain is mushed. bare with me😫)

Thursday
After the not so successful confrontation with her best friend, Max was at a loss for options. Considering the fact that out of all people on this planet, Max was the one who knew y/n best, it should have been easy to find a way to fix things. But despite hours of overthinking and plotting, nothing really seemed to be the right approach. Especially since y/n has been acting differently towards everyone. During english class this morning, y/n would only reply to Max with one or two words at most. At least when the redhead was lucky enough to get an answer at all.
Due to Max’s helplessness, she decided to talk to someone who y/n was closest to besides herself, hoping that they could help solving the issue. In all honesty, Max was too ashamed of her own actions to let the party know what exactly was going on. Dustin had already asked her what the hell was going on with y/n, since they’ve been ignoring all of their friends. Even the entire Hellfire Club. Which made Max worry even more about y/n’s emotional condition. But Max just shrugged her shoulders and acted oblivious when Dustin asked. She was trying to avoid any other member of the party after that. At least until she fixed the y/n-problem.
After school Max made her way to the only person she could have asked for help.
“Hey Eddie.”, Max greeted the teenage boy, almost in a shy tone. She had just entered the club room of the Hellfire Club, where Eddie was preparing things for his DnD campaign.
Eddie, who was standing in the middle of the room, scribbling something in his notebook, shot his eyes up at Max and a bright smile started growing on his face.
“Mayfield!”, Eddie spoke in an excited voice. “What a surprise to see you here in this very room. Come in and be my guest.” He opened his arms widely and walked backwards to sit on his Dungeon Master chair. Putting his notebook aside, he gestured to the chair next to him.
Max slowly walked up to the table, taking a seat next to Eddie. Sitting there, she remembered that she in fact did not prepare what to say. A hundred different options to begin this conversation started racing through her head, leaving her speechless in the end. But the boy next to her noticed Max’s helpless expression on her face and decided to break the silence instead.
“Have you finally decided to join our circle Mayfield?”, Eddie questioned slightly expectant. He tilted his head to the side and gave Max a huge grin.
“Uhm..”, Max started shaking her head, “Not exactly.”
The redhead took a deep breath and straightened up in her seat.
“I’m here because I was an asshole to y/n and they’ve been acting different lately. Like-“
“Out of the norm? At least for y/n ?”, Eddie asked, interrupting Max.
Max just nodded her head in response, unsure of what Eddie already knew. The boy got up and started walking around the room. Max’s eyes followed every step he made.
“They’ve told me about it Mayfield. The day it happened. They said that you hurt them really badly. A day after that, they started ignoring all of us. Wouldn’t even sit at our table anymore.”, Eddie replied as he turned his face towards Max again.
After Max’s emotional outburst, y/n stormed out of the bathroom and made their way towards the school’s exit. They could only hold back their tears for so long until they would burst. All they wanted to do was get home as fast as possible. On their way out though, they ran into Eddie Munson. Almost stumbling over his feet, Eddie caught y/n from falling last minute.
“Woah, careful there y/n. Why are you in such a hurry?”, Eddie asked as he put his hands on y/n’s shoulders.
“I-“, was the only word y/n brought out, before having a breakdown. They started sobbing uncontrollably, much to the surprise of Eddie who has never seen y/n cry until then.
“Hey hey, it’s alright. I’m here.”, he said as he took y/n into his arms.
Max shivered at the thought of y/n having a breakdown in school. She knew how much they hated crying in public places.
“I-.. I- know. And I tried to apologize but… I know I was a total dumbass for what I did.”, she managed to stutter out, scared of what Eddie would think of her. They’ve only talked a few times before, since Eddie seemed to be some kind of brother figure to y/n. But most of the conversations just consisted of Eddie and y/n trying to convince Max of playing DnD.
To Max’s surprise, Eddie returned to the table and sat down right in front of Max. His eyes were more soft than before, his face showing no sign of anger or grudges.
“Shit happens Mayfield.”, he said, folding his hands together. “Especially since y/n basically, metaphorically, puts you on a throne. Your every word is worth gold to them, you know.”
Eddie tried to give Max a small smile, showing her that he wasn’t angry with her.
“Let me think… How can I help you with this.”, he mumbled while getting up again, walking back and forth in front of Max. “So you already tried to apologize but it didn’t work. You know, it helps telling the other person what you did wrong exactly and why it was wrong instead of just saying sorry…”
Following Eddie’s train of thought, Max noticed that she in fact only told y/n that she didn’t mean what she said. Which could only be a bunch of empty words.
“Or you could apologize for forgetting your friendship anniversary, which would have been this Monday.”, he finally said, sitting down on the table.
Max gulped. That was the special day y/n was talking about. Somehow Max forgot a day they’ve been celebrating for years now.
“Oh god.. that’s bad.”, she whispered to herself.
“Y/n admires you Max. They love everything about you. What you do and what you don’t do.”, Eddie started telling, putting his hand on Max’s shoulder. “That’s why they take your words and engrave them into their mind. Which until then, always had a positive outcome.”
He took his hand back to himself and rested it on his leg, looking around the room again.
“The reason y/n joined this club in the first place, is that they have always felt like an outsider. Someone most people would find annoying. I remember the first time they started ranting through one of our meetings. And they started apologizing to me later after the meeting was over. They said that they tend to be annoying. I of course told them that they didn’t need to apologize and that I don’t find them to be annoying. You know what they said?”
Max shook her head in response. A lump was already forming inside of her throat.
“They said that the only person who lets them be exactly who they are until now, is you. That you’ve told them multiple times to not apologize for the way you are.”, Eddie replied, giving Max a bright smile. “They said that they should have listened to you.”
Max tried her best to hold back her tears but a few sobs still came through. Eddie tried his best to comfort her by encouraging her with words but ultimately they ended up just sitting in comfortable silence. After a while, Max spoke up again.
“I need to fix this.”, she said sternly.
“And you will Mayfield. I’m sure of it.”, Eddie comments confidently.

notes : this was a request <3 also it broke my heart to see how many of you could relate to the last part :( i once heard that people criticize the character traits of others which they would secretly like to have or traits that they in fact do have but are too scared to live out. i think there’s some truth to that, so just keep that in mind. much love to all of you 🤍

Moving to Hawkins wasn’t exactly what Max Mayfield had been dreaming of. In fact, everything about it was scary to her. Going to a new school, meeting new people, having to find new friends. It was all just very intimidating.
After surviving the first day at Hawkins High, Max sat in front of school, waiting for her brother Billie to pick her up. She didn’t really meet potential people she would like to hang out with at all, besides a group of boys who seemed to stalk her. Not the kind of people you would want to meet on your first day. That was at least until a person approached her, a big smile on their face as they made their way over to the redhead.
“Hey, are you new here? I’ve never seen you before.”, the person greeted.
“Obviously.”, Max replied quietly, suspicious of the person.
“Well, my name is y/n.”, the person said as they sat themselves next to Max. “What’s your name?”
Y/n held out their hand, which made Max furrow her eyebrows.
“I’m Max… uhm..”, she said as she looked at y/n’s hand. “What am I supposed to see here?”
Y/n started laughing in response, taking their hand back to themselves.
“I heard people shake hands when they first meet. But we don’t have to, don’t worry. I just thought you were a hand shaker.”
Embarrassed about her own cluelessness, a blush crept upon Max’s face. She turned her head away from y/n, focusing her gaze on her skateboard instead. If she was fast enough, she could just grab the board and skate away, she thought. But her train of thought was interrupted by the person besides her.
“Is that your board?”, y/n asked.
“Uh, Yup.”, Max replied quickly.
“That is so cool. I’ve always wanted to learn how to skate. I mean, I once tried. But it ended with a sprained ankle. And some bruises. Well.. and the board broke. But I think I looked preeetty cool before all of that happened.”, y/n explained while giggling.
Max couldn’t help herself but join in. She couldn’t imagine how y/n managed to sprain her ankle and break her board at the same time.
“How in the hell did you do that?”, Max asked while laughing.
“Well, if you have time. It’s a looooong story.”
Tuesday
After the incident, Max didn't go to school the next day, scared to see her best friend. Her own words had kept her up all night, regret being the only thing on her mind. The redhead still couldn’t comprehend how such hurtful words towards y/n could have come from her own mouth. She knows how much y/n struggles with people being assholes, telling them that they were annoying because they talk too much. And still, she chose to direct all her anger at the only person that ever truly cared about her. Anger that built up because of everyone but y/n.
Y/n just hit a sensitive spot, she thought. Max could only take so much, so it wasn't entirely her fault, right? Y/n just caught her in the wrong moment.
After being in bed the entire day, Max finally got up around 5pm. Despite not moving a single muscle, her limbs felt sore, almost like she just ran an entire marathon. Still, she made her way towards her wardrobe to get out a small box. After getting it, she sat back down on her bed and searched through it. The entire box was filled with photos of y/n and Max. And those were just the ones that couldn’t fit on her wall anymore.
Max took out each photo carefully, smiling at every memory that flooded through her head. Some photos were from just two weeks ago, others were taken a few days after they had met.
The last photo in the box was from the day Max took y/n to the skatepark for the first time. She remembered how scared y/n was to get on her skateboard, worried they might break it. But they actually did great that day. Max had to hold their hand the entire time, but y/n was brave enough to get on the board. That was enough to make Max proud that day.
Max didn’t even notice how emotional the memory had made her. Just when a tear fell onto the photo, she noticed that she had started crying. Carefully she brushed her thumb over the picture, putting it back inside the box.
"No. It's my fault. It's entirely my fault.", Max mumbled to herself.
That night she fell asleep with the box standing next to her and a plushie inside her arms which y/n gifted her for her last birthday.
"| can't lose them."
Wednesday
Arriving at school, Max got off the bus with her headphones on once again. She was walking straight to maths class, trying to organize the words inside her mind. She didn't want to meet anybody but y/n. To apologize to them. To tell them that she was out of her mind.
The redhead spent the rest of her Tuesday thinking about what to say and what not to say. She didn’t feel ready for the conversation. After all, her head was still a mess.
When Max got to the classroom, y/n already sat at their table. From just the first impression, they actually seemed fine, Max thought. She took a deep breath and sat down next to their best friend. Taking her headphones off, Max tried to greet y/n.
“Hey y/n.”, she quietly mumbled.
Y/n turned their head to the side and gave a weak smile, “Hi Max.”
Max thought of the next thing to say but her mind just went blank. There was so much to apologize for, so much to explain. But in this very moment, nothing seemed right. So instead of engaging in another conversation, both of them just stayed quiet during the entire lesson. It was an awkward silence. Usually y/n would tell Max how their morning went or at least make little jokes throughout the lesson. But this time, both of them just stayed quiet.
When the lesson was over, y/n grabbed their backpack and made their way to their next class. Max was surprised by the sudden exit and went after them.
“Uhm, y/n.”, Max said as she grabbed their arm, “Do you have time to.. talk?”
Y/n furrowed their brows at first, her arm tensing under Max’s hand. The redhead noticed their reaction and let go immediately.
“After my next lesson, sure.”, y/n mumbled, turning around again. They left the room quickly, dodging any other confrontation.
Max’s next lesson went by awfully slow, as she was still trying to form a proper apology inside her head. Y/n’s behavior was weird but not a surprise. Still, it was awful seeing them like this. And knowing that Max herself was the reason for that.
As soon as the bell rang, Max almost jumped from her seat and went to the cafeteria. Through the crowd of people it was hard finding y/n at first. But after searching around for a while, Max found y/n sitting alone at a table in the back.
“Hey, I almost didn’t find you back here! Usually you always sit with the Hellfire Club.”, Max announced as she sat down in front of y/n.
Y/n just shrugged their shoulders as they focused on their plate, poking around in their food.
“Uhm… listen y/n. I know that just an apology isn’t enough for what I did..”, Max slowly starting saying, as she fidgeted with the cable of her headphones. “But.. I just wanted you to know that I didn’t mean what I said. I was.. I was an asshole. And I was angry and hurt. Which didn’t have to do anything with you. You were just there in the.. wrong moment.”
Y/n looked up from their plate, showing no emotion on their face.
“I totally understand if you are still hurt or angry or both. There is no way to apologize properly for what I did and no matter-“, Max started ranting again. But this time she gut interrupted.
“It’s okay.”, y/n said dryly.
Max furrowed her eyebrows confused, not knowing how to take that answer.
“You’re just gonna say it’s okay? Just like that?”, Max questioned almost offended.
Y/n once again shrug their shoulders and focused their attention back on their plate. Max started tapping her fingers on the table impatiently. She didn’t know what she was waiting for exactly. But it wasn’t a simple “It’s okay”.
“Aren’t you angry? Don’t you want to tell me how much of an asshole I was?”, Max asked almost angrily.
“No. I was angry. Not anymore.”, y/n replied calmly.
After that the two of them just sat in silence again, until y/n took their plate and got up.
“Where are you going?”, Max asked concerned.
“I’m not hungry anymore.”, y/n replied, leaving a confused Max alone at the table.
Ultimately, Max had no right to be mad at the interaction. Y/n was obviously still hurt. Even if they say otherwise. Maybe Max just has to give them a little more time, she thought.
