Mikleo stiffened, surprised, at the sound of someone talking to him -- he really needed to get overt he fact that, wow, people could see and and interact with him now. Still, it was a little embarrassing to be caught like that when he was still trying to figure out how the device he had worked. He had only just discovered that it could be used to take pictures, but... while it had started out as an image of the flowers, somehow it had gotten flipped around.

❝ Maybe they are, ❞ he said of the man’s comment. However, Mikleo was as old as some moderately aged dirt, so presumably that did not apply to him --- and that would be true, for he still had no idea how to work it. ❝ You said the other camera setting --- would that be this button? ❞ he added, pointing at a button that at least looked something like a symbol for switching something.

              ◤ ❝You know, I’d think you’d be a little more successful if you used the other camera setting, pal.❞ 

        The scenery was embellished with a plethora of flowers- truly a sight for sore eyes. Recently he had obtained a phone similar to the stranger’s as some type of compensation for the time in which he had been trapped in the city. He wasn’t familiar with these types of mechanisms, but was able to learn the basics rather quickly. Apparently, such wasn’t the case for all of the other citizens. This male was presumably attempting to take a picture of a vivid arrangement of flora, yet his camera screen only displayed the man’s face from an interesting angle.

The flower festival was nicer than he had expected. Honestly, it had been a long while since he had last attended any kind of human function, and this was under what could be said to be special circumstances, so he really hadn’t known what to expect. Thus, the seraph could be seen wandering from site to site, simply taking in the arrangements of the flowers and people-watching silently.

One rosy booth caught his eye and he changed the cadence of his steps so he could stop by and see what it was. As he drew closer, though, the usage was apparent: around and inside it, people were happily braiding together the stems of flowers to make crowns. A small smile curved at his lips. Then he heard a voice, close enough that it could only be addressing him.

Honestly it was quite startling ( he certainly hadn’t expected it ) but he managed to turn around without betraying his short-lived alarm. As the other man spoke, it was almost possible to see the gears turning in Mikleo’s brain... until the joke finally caught up with him.

❝ Oh --- ❞ And of course it was immediately followed by a short groan, as though the punnery had just started to affect him. Though he couldn’t restrain a small laugh: it was like Lailah all over again. ❝ Do you always greet people like that? ❞ he asked, a wry smile on his face.

Hm - looking around the festival, as expected of a celebration so large as this - it was difficult to find something, anything that did not cost money to look at out of curiosity. Seeing as majority of his cash is going to the factor of making the puppet show, all he can do is watch on, but that is still quite fun. At least the flower crowns are free, and besides: he didn’t come here to buy everything anyway.

No, the reason he was here was to have a good time as best he knows how - and spying a blue-haired individual nearing the flower crown station as well, Yukimura chuckles, despite looking a goof with a wreath of flowers already on his head. “Oh, is your favourite animal a lion? You could make a crown out of them…of very dandy-lions. Oho ho ho.”

He’s just having so much fun sharing these jokes here, what a fun place.

What could this thing be? He tries to poke it, but it doesn’t seem to work when his gloves are on. It needs contact from flesh? ... now that’s strange. It almost seems like a trap.

It was a moment before he recognized the voice, as it had been... a while since he had last heard it. He almost didn’t want to turn and look -- nothing was impossible in this city, for hadn’t he seen Sorey here just a few weeks ago? but while Sorey had merely been sleeping, Rose had passed away. Mikleo had been there at the funeral and at her tomb for each year that had passed.

Nevertheless, he turned to look, and there she stood, behind him. He couldn’t speak for a moment, actually stunned into silence. She looked the same as she had when they were still traveling together: gone were her tired limbs and weary face. This Rose was still at her prime.

He can’t think of anything to say for another long, dragged-out moment. Then, ❝ I --- no, no one’s hurt me. What are you doing here? ❞

His name in question form was accompanied by an over-dramatic gesture of surprise. She hadn’t seen any familiar faces in the city yet, let alone any Seraphim. But that wasn’t what was strange. Stranger still, people seemed to be acknowledging his presence as they passed. They could see him? “Are you alright? You haven’t been hurt by anyone, have you?” She was such a mom in ways.

OUT walking, Mikleo was struck with how mundane the city suddenly seemed to feel. Formerly, he had been at arms, wondering why humans could suddenly see and interact with him. Now, though... it almost felt natural. Might have, if he hadn’t still longed for things to return to how they had been. All this being noticed was grating on him -- not exactly his nerves, but maybe his psyche. He had spent all his life with seraphim, sure, so he’d been seen a lot, but it wasn’t the same with humans.

Lost in thought, he very nearly collided with a man in his path, and would have had he not suddenly lurched to one side to ward off the oncoming impact. “Oh. Sorry --- ” He began to speak, but stopped as he realized who it was, staring into the human’s face for an instant. All his regrets were whisked away like cobwebs -- for the moment -- as he was seized by a usual indelible curiosity. “You’re the one who was talking about aliens before! What are those? I still don’t know.”
