people out there really think Winter is angry that Penny got the power and not her literally two minutes after Winter made it clear she didnt care if she died so long as Frias powers didnt fall into the hands of the enemy

really acting like Fria wasnt her friend and she didnt have that whole ass speech last episode that made it clear she was feeling horribly conflicted over what she had been ordered to do - that she isnt upset that Fria just died

really still getting on like Winter is a villain when time and again she proves shes not

Also, something I realized while I was driving a bit ago.

Ironwood didn’t just order Winter to secure the Winter Maiden’s powers to keep them from falling into enemy hands. He needed her to have the powers so that she could open the vault for him and allow him access to the Staff, since the vaults will only open for a Maiden. That’s why he was waiting down by the vault door and thought that it was Winter coming down the lift.

By sending Penny away with the powers of the Winter Maiden, Winter has ensured that Ironwood cannot access the staff and therefore, by extension, he probably won’t be able to lift Atlas into the sky like he had planned. Whether it was her intention or not, Winter may have just sabotaged Ironwood’s plan to abandon Mantle.
