So, you know how everyone have their catchy phrases? Well almost everyone has one catchy phrase that they can use when things...let's say, don't go as planned, and I wanted to draw that!

As far as I know, Dashi is the only one that doesn't has a catchy phrase for emergency situations

Season 2, Octonauts, Above & Behond, out now

Okay. I'm gonna ramble about Bianca for a sec.

She deserves to be an Octo-Agent.

She and Barnacles were Polar Scouts TOGETHER. She has the same training he does, and might even be STRONGER than him, since we know they used to wrestle as cubs, and she would win. (often enough to grant him an embarrassing nickname.) Even the cubs; they're definitely old enough to be Junior Agents, and are currently going through Polar Scout training themselves.

I think Barnacles just hasn't mentioned anything about the new Octo-Agent system yet to his family, because if he does they'll all enthusiastically volunteer—and he knows that. He just doesn't want them to.

If he let Bianca and the cubs become Agents (on HIS crew no less), and they got put in danger, or worse, hurt? He might break. We saw how he protected his family in The Great Arctic Adventure, we see how he protects his crew almost every episode, we saw how he was in The Bamboo Rescue when he thought he couldn't help anyone: He might think that not telling his family about the Octo-Agents is his way of protecting/helping them.

Above and Beyond has been putting a lot of focus on its female characters. Especially Dashi, Tweak, Min, and even Pearl. So, I think there might be an actual story related reason why we haven't seen Barnacles' family yet.

All the Octonauts families are becoming Agents! Pearl, Calico Jack, Ranger Marsh, Koshi, Pinto, even Periwinkle got had his moment. Where. Are. The. Bears. 👀
