I wasn't saying all hybrid species are corrupted. I'm not trying to do furry racism. If Peaflow has a peacock feather for a butt and that's just normal within the context of the world, cool. My point was that hybrids are (I guess) supposed to be seen as a bad thing when the factory makes them. Since apparently that's what happened to Narla, it gives the sense she's not supposed to have any narwhal traits.

Nice to have you back Pilot, about the hybrids, there's an OC that Mel made that being a zebon and goatasus hybrid, genetically modified I was talking about her with a friend on how we were supposed to feel intimidated by her and how her cutesy aesthetic just doesn't work for the story she's going for, with blood and stuff idk that's just me Also if Dom didn't want pastel to leave, wouldn't he have clipped off her wings? It's just that Mel could've had to much potential but she just has to reuse everything for every single OC which is annoying

You have a pretty good point there, Neo isn't really all that intimidating of a character with the cutesy look to the artstyle, it just... really doesn't translate well at all for what is supposed to be for the character who is supposedly an aggravated and competitive weapon. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to take her seriously at all because the art does not translate all too good with the story Mel wants to tell.

ALSO YEAH I AGREE WITH YOU ON THIS. Dominik really could've clipped Pastel's wings to keep her from flying away and potentially leaving the factory, but Mel really doesn't want to explore the idea of such a thing. Constantly reusing things on a character isn't going to do any good if Mel doesn't experiment with what she wants to do.

Hey, Pilot. I'm one of your more regular anons. I won't say which asks were mine, but I guess you can call me 'the Narla girl'.

Regular visitors to this blog might remember this incident, but for the sake of people who don't, I was really attached to Narla, one of Mel's OCs (an anthro narwhal, for newcomers), and when Mel changed her to an anthro unicorn, I went on an admittedly cringey rant in her Discord's text channels, which prompted Mel's fans to bully me off.

The reason I'm bringing this up again is because Mel changed Narla back- sort of. She has her narwhal tail back, but still has the unicorn ears and hooves, and her Toyhou.se page calls her a rainbow unicorn. It's been established recently that the Factory sometimes messes with kids' genes to make hybrid species, so I guess that's what Mel will say happened to Narla.

In theory, this is what I wanted, but somehow I'm not happy. I think it's because it gives the impression that Narla's narwhal traits are a corruption she's not supposed to have. Again, this is a stupid thing to be upset about, but I am.

Yeah I can agree with you on that, Narla Girl, it's very, very weird. And in all honesty, it might sound silly to you, but I really think that you're right in some aspects, especially when it comes to the “Hybrid species are basically corrupted,” even though Melogold is literally a hybrid herself that's not in the factory.

But in all honesty, I do have my own opinions on why Narla being a narwhal or a unicorn, hell, even BOTH mixed together, doesn't work in Shadow's Colours, because if Mel actually researched about those two species, like their environment, how they act around other species and researchers, and what happens to them in captivity—the last few bits are more for the narwhal, but hear me out, it'll make sense—she'd have to redo Narla and Nadia's characters all over again. I might talk about that in a seperate post on why neither work in ny perspective.

Hey, do you have hope that Mel can improve as a person? And do you think she has made any progress at this very moment?

From what I've seen, she's kind of "quiet?" about doing something wrong, at least not that I've seen, correct me if I'm wrong.

I can't say too much on this, I haven't been able to keep up on everything that's happening the past (almost) 2 months because I was taking a break, but yeah, I certainly noticed the going quiet parts on her recent stream, from what I've watched. I can't make a comment on that though, I literally do the exact same thing, and it'd definitely be hypocritical if me to talk about it in an overly rude manner. I'm not sure on progress either, so I also can't make a comment on that part either.

But in other words, I'm not entirely too sure on the idea that Mel may be improving even if it may look like it on a surface level, I do feel very skeptical about it—and maybe it's just me being way too overly cautious—but if that's what she wants to do, then I really hope she does try harder than she did previously if she really is trying to improve.

Last time I checked on YouTube (I use NewPipe now because I'm not dealing with the site/app's bullshit AI age verification thing even if I'm not from The States,) it was pretty much because she wasn't proud of certain content she made? Not sure if it possibly holds up with the currently unlisted videos now, but we'll probably never know, though.

Mel hasn’t yet removed all mention of Noel/Frostbite from her Toyhou.se. He’s still listed under Aeron’s assistants.

Yep, just checked Aeron's page, and yeah. The name Frostbite is still on there. Maybe it hasn't been changed yet? I mean, none of the Gods have gotten their page updates yet, but then again, Mel doesn't focus on them as much as she does the other characters she has.

Hey there, it's Pilot. As much as you all probably want to see me criticize things, I'm thinking that it's best if I lay off what I want to say for now since I'm still trying to get better and recover now that I have a support system and other things that make me happy that I'd like to focus on.

I'm still not in the best state,as of writing this post, and I've realized a lot more things about the trauma I experienced as a middle schooler (which I know that Mel and her fans are probably going to use against me, even though it's really just me trying to be transparent about things in the way I'm able to, hopefully not, because that'd be awfully peachy, huh?)

So for now on, this blog will be on an indefinite hiatus, that is until I feel ready to start talking about Shadow's Colours and Mel again. It's really the best I can do for now, constantly talking about this stuff isn't really healthy for me and all it's been doing is keeping me pissed off, if you get what I mean.

So will I be back? Yeah, eventually, if I feel like it, if I do, I might be much calmer considering I've held onto a lot of rage towards a lot of people and things, and it's not good for me to hold onto that feeling of being seen as the constantly angry trans man who talks about Mel. (Yes, I am a guy. Kinda my fault I didn't put the pronouns on my intro post, but whatever.)

Speaking of Mel... hello there, you may be possibly reading this through a fan or a friend (either way you're still probably gonna be reading this regardless,) and as much as I really do not like you or your story in the slightest, if you wanna have a little party about it on your next stream with your friends or whatever, fine, I honestly could give less of a damn, because I'm still not sorry for talking about your story in the light that I did (if you're gonna complain about it, at least I'm being honest instead of saying shit like 'I'm sho sowwy but THEY did THIS-', yeah? Ah, thank you. It's pretty fucking crazy how people manage to stoop so low to do stuff like that and expect everything to be funny when it's literally a wish for the worst thing to happen to me, but I'm glad there's people who disagree with those guys, especially that Anon in particular.

I'm definitely gonna be taking care of myself after this, and I'm not especially because it's been a wild ride, but I'm glad you like hearing my opinions on Shadow's Colours regardless, because I'll definitely have more when I come back, that's for sure.
