from the moment donny set his eyes on dani, he knew she was meant for him. she was beautiful, smart, and could take all the attention in a room without any effort. she might have been out of his league but, that never stopped him before. all he had to do was dial up his charm and show her he was who she needed. and it worked! the dates they'd been on had been magical and he was only falling for her more and more each time. despite all the good, dani could definitely be more than a handful and that was something he learned rather quickly. he could handle what she threw at him though, no matter how frustrating. his eyebrows raise at the blondes question. he hadn't been looking at anyone in particular, just looking around aimlessly so, he wasn't sure who he was talking about or why another woman had been brought up but he quickly learned to roll with the punches when it came to danielle. " there's no one here prettier than you, baby. " donny says smoothly, hoping it's enough to satisfy that fire within her. even though he's curious as to who she's talking about, he knows better than to follow her narrowed gaze toward the other woman.

While she’s no stranger to dates, Dani finds herself pleasantly surprised at just how well their dates have been going. Donny’s sweet, he’s funny, and he gives her more than enough attention — it’s all she’s really looking for. Noticing Donny’s eyes briefly glance past her, Dani looks over her shoulder, lips pursed. He could be looking at absolutely anything, but she can’t help but narrow in on the blonde across the bar. It would be so easy to go back to her drink, to ignore the slight possibility that he may have been looking in the direction of another woman, and continue with their evening like nothing happened. Because really, it didn’t. But Dani has never been one to control her impulses, and this is no exception. “Do you think she’s prettier than me?” she blurts out, eyes narrowed as she looks between Donny and the blonde. She takes another sip of her drink, smiling innocently as she waits for his answer. // @shanesbff​

thanksgiving was coming up with meant one thing, a cooking marathon for donny. he’d agreed to help poppy with her dinner for those on the island who didn’t have a family to feed them. donny didn’t mind tradition but he enjoyed putting his own spin on things. testing recipes meant you needed someone to test them on, that’s where shane always came in. “ oh, so you’re just gonna start lyin’ now man? ” donny says with a raise of his brow. “ we all know you are, just embrace it. ” he puts out a final side dish of homemade orange cranberry sauce on the table to join the various sides he’d been experimenting with. “ so, where should we start? dressing? potatoes? yams? we got it all but the turkey, that’s for another day. ”

Shane often played guinea pig for Donny’s newest recipes. He was honest about how they tasted and sometimes would throw out a suggestion or two. Mostly he put up with it for the free food and so Donny wouldn’t bug him relentlessly about it. With a wide array of food in front of him Shane wasn’t sure where to start. Everything looked, and smelled, delicious and Shane was sure it’s taste would be as well. “There’s a shit ton of food here, Don. You think I’m a bottomless pit or something?”

The dramatics of the spin was just the reaction she expected and let out a delighted laugh as she accepted his hand. “With a claim like that you have to.” She smiled, using their hands to pull him in towards her. Dani had never been shy or coy, maybe she’d tried to put on that act before, but it never really fit her. Donny was sweet, maybe a little odd, but fun.

dani’s hands on him were enough to make it feel like electricity was dancing on his skin. he’d be lying if he said he didn’t dream about something like this. he knew it was lame but donny had always been this way. he loved love and when he was interested in someone his mind went into overtime. “ don’t worry, you’ll see. ” he says, slipping his arms around her waist and holding her while they sway to the song playing. “ sure your date won’t get jealous? i ain’t tryna catch a whoopin’. ” he says teasingly, a smile playing on his lips.

donny had been into dani from the moment fiona introduced them but, he convinced himself she was way too out of his league to ever attempt to really talk to her. he was on earth and she was all the way in space. he chuckles. “ how do i dance? ” donny echoes, with his signature grin. “ girl, i got moves you couldn’t even dream of! ” he spins for emphasis before sticking his hand out for her to, “ i’d be glad to show you. ” if all it took was a good suit and a fancy mask to get her attention, he would’ve done this a long time ago.

“Alright, Waffle Guy, you got me.” Danielle admitted. “You clean up nice. But how do you dance?” Fiona was obviously close to the guy and while they’d talked, she hadn’t given him as fair of a shot as she probably should have. After all, any friend of you bestie has to be a friend of yours. Otherwise, they’re your enemy. @shanesbff​
