Shay: Well, I definitely see no reason to stay here any longer.
Shay: See you soon, yeah?
shayrosier:
Shay: That sounds lovely.
Shay: Yes, they let me look at the file and I regret it.
Diana: Perfect.
Diana: Yep, that one makes my head fucking spin.

shayrosier:
Shay: Well, we might actually be home at the same time then. I’ll be leaving here shortly since there literally is no lead to follow.
Shay: I’m also exhausted. I keep reading the same sentence over and over, this case is driving me mental.
Diana: Does that mean you’re coming to bed with me? :)
Diana: Is that the case you’re on with me?

Shay: Sure, I guess you can call it working. I’m just at my desk looking at this bloody awful case file.
Shay: What are you doing?
Diana: Sounds thrilling.
Diana: Just left Hogwarts. On my way home. I had to do that terrible monthly faculty mixer where they pretend we’re just getting together to socialize but what we’re really doing is getting talked at for hours about the curriculum. I’m exhausted.

Although her body was heavy and lifeless, the tip of that heel surprised her and sent a jolt of electricity up her spine. The touch restored her every so subtly and Shay’s eyes narrowed in the direction of her wife, looking at her questionably. “This seems awfully suggestive...and also....nice.” Shay repeated the word she had chosen to use and cocked her head to the side while hazel eyes held her wife’s gaze. “Though it is a bit odd, isn’t it? A chance encounter.”
Her voice had dropped an octave and was slick indecency. Truthfully, Shay was happy to spend any kind of time with Diana seeing as they’d been on such opposite schedules. As always being around her proved to be beneficial in a number of ways and Shays day was already looking a little brighter. “What would you like to do with the time we’ve been granted?” A hand reached across the table and teased Diana’s fingers lightly.

“Not really, I lost my lead and need to recharge the batteries.” The brunette tucked a one strand of hair behind her ear as she sat down in the empty chair next o her wife. She crossed one leg over the other and sipped her espresso with shaky hands. The witch was drained and frustrated, her head was spinning and body still winding down and now that she had sat down, she had almost no desire to get back up. Surely a spell or two could heal some of her exhaustion, but almost nothing would be able to resolve her mind from continuing to race with uneasy thoughts. Shay was truly worried she might never solve this mysterious case. “So....” She’d be starring off uno space for a moment too long and returned her attention to Diana. Her beauty was a wonderful distraction and the brunette eased into her energy that floated around the table in which they sat.
“What brings you here? I must say you’re glowing over here in the corner all by yourself. Stand out like a sore thumb in a tiny little shop like this.” Most of the costumers were dressed in dark attire and looked like they worked at the Ministry or some bullshit corporate office, lifeless and muggle like. The pureblood shot the last of her espresso back and imagined it was whiskey, groaning softly in the back of her throat as she set the cup down on the wooden surface between them.

Frustration was really starting to set in with the current case at hand. With a whole lot of leads and even more dead ends, the hit witch found herself mentally and physically exhausted. Shay has just finished chasing a suspect through rugged, cold streets and she was hunched over with her hands on her knees, chest heaving. She’s lost him. He had seemingly disappeared into thin air which was highly likely in the world they lived in. Her day was far from over and the fun had started earlier than anticipated. Coffee was a must or she’s surely lose her already short fused temper. Sharp inhales and exhales left parted lips as her lungs struggled to fill themselves with air, hazel eyes adjusting to her surroundings now that her target was no longer her focus. “How convinent.”
The coffee shop in plain sight just a block ahead caught her eye as did the smell. Shay stood up straight and put her hands above her head, chin towards the sky as she took a moment to steady her breathing as well as her composure. She dragged herself into the coffee shop and gave one final exhausted sigh as the door closed behind her and approached the counter. “Espresso please, a double if you could.” The gorgeous girl leaned over the counter and gave the boy taking her order a look that could bring anyone to their knees, intense and gleaming with charisma. “Thank you.” Shay spin around and was about to walk out but nearly spilled her coffee when she saw her wife sitting their casually. “Come here often?”

Between works was always this little oasis of time that she never quite knew what to do with. Most days she’d head over to school early and get in some work. Other times she’d pick up lunch from the farmer’s market but today she needed coffee. Coffee and a book and quiet. It was snowing outside which was a little odd this early in the season and the biting chill of the cold only added to the ache she’d been feeling. She and Shay kept missing one another. Ever since the little invasion of their home it seemed as though their work schedules didn’t seem to really line up and the toll it took on the way she felt seemed ten fold. Sure they still slept in the same bed and cuddled up in the few hours that seemed to cross and that was enough to quell the ache to an extent but still…
The midnight blue pencil skirt clung to her every curve and heels only accentuated that, the perfectly pressed button down was a little flowy beneath her peacoat and the scarf around her neck looked warm. The blonde stood at the counter, looking through the glass at the assorted pastries and bit her lip. After a moment of contemplation she ordered a Double Latte and a croissant. Typically, she took her coffee black but the way they steamed their milk here was too good to resist. She thanked the man behind the counter, paid and stepped aside to wait for her order. Diana could feel her wife the moment she walked into the little cafe but she didn’t want to throw off her daily routine so she stayed quiet.

Shay couldn’t stop shaking her head in disbelief. It really didn’t make much sense for them to go to a clinic and especially so soon. And on top of bothering them, now the thought of children was on the brain and it made her really uncomfortable. The Slytherin girl was in no position to have a child and she’d honestly it had never been a desire of her’s. A knot of worry and anxiety twisted in the pit of her stomach but was soon ignored as she watched Diana’s robe fall off of her body and those curvy hips swayed to the shower. “This shower isn’t going to rid me of my dirty thoughts, but sure.” Shay’s robe snapped off of her body with merely the power of her magic and hung itself next to Diana’s.
The shower started on its own accord and steam soon filled the master bathroom. As the brunette stepped under the hot water, she closed her eyes and tried to relax herself, a mixture of hormones, stress, and worry still present under the skin and taking up her energy. She took a few mindful breaths to ground her and bring herself back into her body and out of her mind, opening her eyes after a moment or so. “Are you hungry? Did you want to do lunch?” Shay’s hands ran through the front of her hair as she tipped her head back and sighed heavily.

Shay really hated rules and demands and generally abiding by anything anyone else told her to do and this entire situation was genuinely her worst nightmare. The last thing she wanted was the Ministry to spoil the one good thing that had come out of all of this and so far that was Diana. Them intruding upon their sexlife was leaving Shay very unamused. “A fortnight, sure. And next time make sure Penelope doesn’t tag along and for fucks sake send an owl.” A very annoyed closed mouth smile played on Shay’s lips and her eyes went wider further displaying her desire for the minster and his crew to fuck off. She felt Diana’s fingers interlace with her own and it grounded her, bringing her back into the moment and out of her feelings. “Enjoy the rest of your day.”
The brunette was still clinging to Diana as the minister rolled his eyes and turned to walk out of their bedroom and down the stairs. They listened together as the footsteps faded off into the distance until the front door of the house closed and that’s when Shay realized just how tense she had been and released a relieved exhale. “Bloody hell. They sure know how to kill the mood.” A hand came up to run through her messy hair and ruffle her dark waves. She sighed again and looked down between her legs. “Impossibly soft. That’s a first.” Mentioning pregnancy and doctors and rules left a solid lump in Shay’s throat and a hollow pit in her stomach. Sometimes, this was all too much at once and it seemed her life was slipping away into something she had no fucking control over.

Shay’s eyes stayed glaring at the minister as she slipped into her dark green robe. The flush on her cheeks soon faded away as her wife stepped in and swiftly took control of the unexpected situation at hand. This allowed her to settle back a bit and readjust herself, arms crossing over her chest as she peered out over Diana’s shoulder, jaw tight with frustration and ever growing agitation. When she heard a familiar sultry voice slither out from behind the minister, Shay’s teeth slowly revealed themselves as a grin unfolded from her lips. “Penelope. As true as the ones that went around school about us a few years ago...you were so heartbroken when I wouldn’t fuck you anymore.” The minister made a disapproving sigh and threw his arms out but Shay didn’t stop there. “You always were the jealous type.” Shay’s smile was proud and she sent the seductive looking dark haired girl off with a wink and a kiss. In the meantime a hand had come to rest on Diana’s waist where she caressed her hip gently as if to sooth her and also protect.
“I think we’d know if we were having a baby. For fucks sake, do we really need a clinic nowadays with all this fancy magic happening?” Shay scoffed a little and shook her head from side to side. The minister seemed frozen and maybe even a bit thrown off and the brunette didn’t hesitate to raise her eyebrows at him questionably. “Well? Go on, have your look. Is this convincing enough for you?” Shay cocked her head to the side now and came up from behind to Diana and wrap her arms around her waist and kiss her shoulder. It was the minister’s turn to an awful shade of red.

Truthfully, Shay hadn’t been able to get enough of Diana but she kept this well hidden. It was damn near impossible not to be all over her at every waking moment. Ever since that romanic evening and their passionate encounter, Shay had been feeling chronically intoxicated. Perhaps it was because they’d given into the most intimate of temptations and surrendered to something transformational. It had certainly shifted things and Shay found herself wanting to be more romantic, giving, and even...dare she say sweeter. Nevertheless, she remained mostly very Shay-like and suppressed such secret desires. For now, the sex was incredible and their attraction to one another was undeniable.
Shay was coming down from her high, heart beating out of her chest and eyes fluttering open to meet Diana with dark ones. “I don’t think I have the energy for a fucking shower.” She laid back on the bed for but a moment when the hairs on her arms suddenly stood sharply and her senses quickly tuned in to the change of energy in their home. “Four.” Shay swiftly yet silently put her boxers back on and slipped into her tank top, bare feet hitting the hardwood floor without a sound as she drew her wand from her bedside table. “Fucking shit.” She threw her hazel eyes to the side in utter annoyance once she heard the voices nearing the bedroom. Between her combined skills of energy mastery and unflinching killer instincts, Shay quickly detected that the people in their home were from none other than the ministry. And she was not in the mood nor was she prepared. There was a knock on the bedroom door and Shay actually hesitated a moment, unsure of just exactly how she should be behaving right now. Diana was still in bed and naked and Shay was still half hard under her boxers and this was well, sure to be embarrassing. The door opened and Shay’s cheeks flushed a brilliant shade of crimson. “Good morning...” The brunette’s hands were folded in front of her and she rocked slightly back and forth on the balls of her feet. “Or rather...afternoon.” She squinted as she looked at the clock just above the door. “We seemed to have lost track of time. And missed your letter...if you even bothered to send one.”

So perhaps they’d been touching more; yes, one could certainly say that. Ever since that night where they’d gone and gotten drunk with lust, hunger and pure need, they’d managed to ignite a flame between them that refused to be extinguished. They weren’t necessarily giving into the whole notion and way of life that the Ministry had set as the standard of life in the wizarding world but they were definitely enjoying one another far more than before. Sex was more of a regular occurrence, casually touching, flirting even (if you’d call their banter flirting)… they were settling into a new normal and Diana found herself enjoying it.
It was still early yet. They were both taking the morning off today to make good use of their time. Feeling Shay release inside of her had her heart racing, they hadn’t done that since the night of the party, it was too risky. Her face flushed as they both came slowly down from that high. “Shower?” She quirked a brow and gave a lopsided smile before stealing a kiss from her mate. It amazed her how much they’d grown together and how right it seemed to feel.
Just as she was about to push up from the bed she froze. The entire energy of the home shifted in the matter of a millisecond. Her jaw set, her face paled, and for a moment she didn’t breathe. Reading the energy wasn’t hard but it unnerved her all the same. Quietly she pulled the sheet up to cover her naked body. “… There are other wizards in the house.” She whispered. Blue eyes locked on hazel, she was trying to keep the panic at bay as best she could. “Three.” She took a slow breath and her free hand reached to the bedside table to her wand, slender digits wrapping around the sleek wood. Soon it became more apparent, you could hear people walking around downstairs, speaking candidly.

She felt exposed as her wife’s eyes connected with every inch of her personal space, taking in every last detail of her sanctuary. It felt unnatural having another body in her bedroom but Diana was different and as Shay watched her she couldn’t help but feel as though she belonged in her energy. “This room heals me. I mean, truly, I come here to heal...to do healing...” she trailed off a moment as her eyes stayed fixiated on the stars, allowing herself to get lost in them. “This is my favorite.” It had almost come out in a whisper and Shay had almost gone into a trance until Diana closed in on her and captured her lips.
She inhaled through her nose slowly and deeply, eyes closing as they melted into one another with absolute contentment. There was a noticeable energic shift, a pulse that rippled throughout the room and Shay felt it instantly. The air around the seemed to hum and goosebumps ignited along Shay’s arms. Diana was having a noticeable affect on her scared space but it wasn’t at all bad. It was as if her energy had shifted and molded into that of her own and Shay felt a sense of oneness. Her lips continued to part, over and over again as she kissed those sweet lips, her senses heightening given she was in her element and she could swear she tasted honey on Diana’s lips, tongue darting out to taste it some more.
