Imagine Assassin!Haytham meeting Shay before Lisborn

Anonymous submitted:  Imagine Haytham growing up as an Assassin and coming to the colonies and meeting Shay before Shay goes to Lisbon <3

Haytham comes to the Colonies under Miko’s orders to find the Grand Temple and keep it out of Templar hands. 

Achilles gives Shay the task of showing Haytham around New York, Boston, and the surrounding areas while they wait to send Shay to Lisbon. 

Haytham didn't quite like Shay at the beginning, Hope keeps telling him of his poor discipline. Over time, he discovers that their method of training just didn't suit Shay, and offers to train him himself instead.

He soon finds himself captivated by the Pirate Assassin with a heart of gold. 

Shay worried Haytham would be as hard to get along with as Chevalier and is surprised at Haytham’s calm but sardonic nature.

Everyone is amazed at Shay's major improvement under Haytham's guide.

Together they take out Silas and, later with Ziio, Braddock.

Haytham offers to go with Shay to Lisbon but Shay refuses the offer.  Instead Haytham offers to wait for Shay’s return.

When Shay returns distraught Haytham stops him from confronting Achilles and asks him what happened.

Haytham convinces Shay that violent confrontation or stealing the manuscript won’t help or make Shay feel better. Instead he helps Shay calmly talk to Achilles and explain the whole ordeal.

After the tense conversation Shay sulks back to his bedchambers and finally lets himself cry.

Haytham comes to check on him and ends up comforting the hurt assassin. Shay cries into Haytham's shirt and Haytham, suprisingly, lets him.

"How can I keep going after what I've done?"

Haytham could only respond with a warm embrace.

Shay eventually passes out due to exhaustion.

The next morning, he finds himself safely tucked in bed. A soothing smell travels to his nose and he finds Haytham entering with a warm cup of tea and some scones.

"Sleep well?"

"Surprisingly,"

He gives the tea and scones to Shay and they chat about everything but Lisbon.

Shay forgets, for a moment, and in that moment everything felt like it was alright.

Imagine Haytham finding out Shay was a woman

Anonymous submitted: “Imagine: Shay was a woman (like Mary) and Haytham discovered it by walking in when Shay was getting changed 😂“

Haytham, when he realized what he was seeing would step out of the room and close the door.

Shay would be mad at the start, partially because Haytham hadn’t knocked and partially because Shay forgot to lock the door.  

Haytham would be a upset at himself for forcing the reveal even though he couldn’t have known.  

Shay might be a little nervous because as far as Shay knows none of the Templars know (although the Finnegan's definitively do)

Haytham has to assure Shay that it doesn’t change how Haytham thinks of Shay.  

The relationship starts off a little rocky because Shay worries that Haytham will start treating Shay as weaker.  

Once Shay and Haytham establish a new normal of trust and respect, they start testing the waters for a relationship. 

It works and eventually they start making out and more.

Imagine Shay and Haytham having deep conversations in the captain's quarters

Anonymous Submitted: “A Shaytham AU: Headcanon I've Always Had is that after a bad day they sit in Shay's Captain's Quarters on the Morrigan and have deep conversations about life and what they would do if the order and creed didn't exist. Where Shay opens up about Lisbon and Haytham opens up about Edward idk I just think it would be a greatly developed relationship built on trust and respect. And they realize that they confide in one another and help the other keep going forward. It's just a cute Headcanon I had ⚘”

It would always start as mundane conversations about politics or the weather but then minutes later Shay had to question himself on how they started talking about deep topics.

Shay thought nothing of it the first time it happened. They discussed Lisbon, mostly. But then it happened again and by some miracle of god it was Haytham who shared his past.

They soon realised they have a lot in common with each other. Both followed the assassin’s creed in their own ways, both have felt a deep betrayal by those closest to them.

It became a habit, after some time. They would sit and talk in the captain's quarters aboard the Morrigan or in Shay's study at Fort Arsenal, particularly after a harrowing day.

Shay would serve them rum.

In one instance, Haytham wonders of the life he'd live if the Creed and the Order didn't exist.

Shay muses he himself would still be drunk and starting fights at taverns. Or, Haytham cut in, if he ran out of luck, he'd be dead in a ditch somewhere.

Shay, as expected, says he makes his own luck.

Haytham huffs a laugh and remarks that he would be still living in London, perhaps. He'd be a rich fellow who wouldn't know the cruelties of this world.

"Then is this life better, sir?"

"I don't know,"

Haytham then looks at Shay and ponders out loud on the possibilities of them meeting had it not been through the Order. Perhaps they wouldn't have this trust and respect between them. Perhaps they wouldn't have met at all.

"I'm glad to have met you, sir,"

Shay had a little too much to drink and boldly kisses Haytham, who is deeply shocked by thr action. The sensation was pleasant though, and Haytham eventually gives in.

He decides to himself that yes, at least in this moment, this life is better after all.

Imagine Shay and Haytham married, taking care of Connor

Modern Day AU:

They either share custody of Connor with Ziio or they are part of the baby-sitter rotation.  

Shay and Haytham haven’t been married long, maybe a couple of months.  

They love cuddling on the couch, just holding each other.  

They love having Connor over.  

Haytham because he loved his father and wanted a chance to be a father too.  

Shay because Haytham always has a look of pride on his face when he looks at Connor and doesn’t know it. And because Connor is a cute kid.

Being around young Connor means Connor and Haytham don’t fight as much and never about anything serious.  Mostly bedtimes and vegetables.

Haytham can’t pronounce Ratonhnhaké:ton’s name. While Shay can and does sometimes, Shay will also use Connor. 

Connor still prefers being baby-sat by Achilles or Oiá:ner much to Haytham’s chagrin.

Because of that he tries his best to somehow win Connor over, and that amuses Shay very much.

"He won't like you just because you buy him stuff!"

"Why not?"

Despite his best efforts, Haytham doesn't know how to parent™️

Shay is more than happy to help him, though. But apparently that only results in Connor liking Shay more than his own father. Oops.

Imagine Shay finding out Haytham was a woman

Submitted by Anonymous: “Imagine if Shay found out Haytham was a woman <3“

First thought is that it would be a Mary Read and Edward Kenway type situation where Haytham reveals the secret suddenly and without warning. It would have been a well kept secret with almost no one knowing it by the time Shay and Haytham met.  

Shay would be incredibly baffled, but honored and touched that Haytham would share such an important secret with him.

Haytham’s ultimate fears would probably include being seen as weak or incompetent after Shay finds out, or Shay letting it slip to someone else.  

That, of course, doesn’t happen. Shay kept it to himself and continues to treat Haytham exactly how he had; with complete and absolute respect.

Shay eventually asks why Haytham trusts him with the information and they have this painfully awkward conversation revealing each other's true feelings.

They end up making out, of course. 👀

Submissions can be your opinion, or you seeking our opinion, or both!  Or simply you sharing a thought about them you had. 

Must be Shaytham Centered.  Can be other’s reactions, or au’s, or what-if’s but it must be about Shaytham

No character bashing.  Maybe you feel certain characters would hate Shaytham.  That’s fine.  People experience anger and jealousy, characters can too, but don’t make everything about hating that character.

Don’t kink shame.  If you dislike a kink or don’t understand it, move on.  That said, if you think something isn’t a kink, let us know.  And let us know if we need to be better about tagging things.

It’s okay to disagree with others, but be respectful.  Submit your own Imagines or a counter argument.  It’s an imagines blog, these things are supposed to be fun.

We accept Non-English submissions, but we might use google translate on them. 

The mods can be busy irl, ask before resending submissions.  Hopefully we’ll have a really long queue that takes a while to get through one day.

 Don’t try to start a ship war. It doesn’t matter if you like Ship A more or Ship D more or if Ship C is more canon than Ship F.  This is about Shaytham and we will shut down inflammatory posts.
