Very happy that kpdh is super popular and golden is charting but it is a sign of dystopia to me that the only girl group in 25 years to chart at no 1 needed to be cartoons.

Like idk it says something about how we perceive womens bodies to me, how much harder we are on women performers, how you need to literally have a smash hit animated film musical to like send a group to 1st place and they also have to be cartoons?? Because its not like the song writers / singers / writers / animators who are getting the spotlight, its the effort of so many people who have had to all work in unison to literally create the most perfect (fictional) group and narrative and thats the only thing thats allowed a girl group to get to no 1??

(Also i should say. I also love kpdh!! I really love all the music!! But its like eye opening to me ???)
