Another reason I feel for him. As soon as he found out their mom was sick he rushed to tell his brother. Only to find out his brother kept it from him for months. How Conrad just brushed it off when Jere kept asking if anyone noticed how tired, etc his mom was. He was lied to all summer. And don’t give me that Conrad knew his mom didn’t want them to know and wanted them to have one last good summer mess. How were they supposed to do that with Conrad sulking and being all dark the entire summer? Again, my heart breaks for this kid because he’s going to just keep getting hurt and it’s unbearable.

I don’t get how people say that Jeremiah only likes Belly because she became “pretty”. Do they completely avoid this scene or don’t pay attention? He has liked her for awhile, just because he wasn’t obvious about it doesn’t mean he didn’t feel it. He knew she was sprung on his brother so he kept it to himself. There are also multiple times during the first couple of episodes that it’s obvious by the way he’s looking at her. The boy has it bad, it’s not all about competing with Conrad either.
