It’s getting dark and cold, but we finally have a space with tools for cozy mechanic sessions, potentially in a regular basis. Thursday is an approved FLINTA day in West Berlin workshop “Jugend Technic Werkstatt” aiming to attract locals, low-income teenagers and refugees to repair bicycles, but womxn* of all age+income categories are welcome🫶 Bring your own bicycle to repair or learn skills on our sample. This years 8th anniversary of SHE36 fall on the trip to France to reunion with sister @riot_wheels and unexpected diving into Bordeux and Paris feminist cycling scene 💜 Everything went against the plan (weather, cycling trip, accommodation etc.) and it was… beautiful! 🇫🇷 Yeah sexual herassment is real, but so is the support of the local cyclist flinta-community, who helped me in emergency 🙏🏽 So happy to have met @turnovaires who are a part of mechanic workshop @cyclofficinedeparis with a flinta day every sunday. Also check @gow_girlsonwheels with their street reclaiming flinta rides every wednesday 🔥 We had a beautiful commute to transport the coffee, which supports idegenous womxn projects @ezln.revo @warriorwomenproject and happens on regular basis & where you can also acquire shirts and crafts for donation. Even if you wear a yellow jersey doesn’t mean you have enough money to survive, train and not to have a side job! At least at Tour de France Femmes (yet!). Sorry, someone had to say it! After a breathtaking womxn’s Tour with incredible performance of athletes, fan masses, beautiful and informative TV streaming, emotional interviews of the winners, there is still need to give a voice to a prize pot gap between men and womxn. Highly appreciateed the statement of Vera Hohlfeld, director of a very important german race Thüringer Rundfahrt @lottoladiestour who spoke out uncomfortable facts about the race in live stream of TDFF (which keeps existing only due to donations). Respect! Some of our questions stayed unanswered, but a lot of things have cleared up after this REAL Tour de France Femmes happened and it helps a lot to make new TO-DOs and prognoses for womxn cycling - and, it’s optimistic! good morning! the registration for Tour de Fair has began and here we are answering the frequent asked questions to the race: ⭐️Who is allowed to participate?⭐️ The race is exclusive for women*, trans- and non-binary (WTNB) persons. Men are welcome at the afterparty, but also as supporters and volunteers during the race. ⭐️What kind should I ride?⭐️ Any kinds of bikes are welcome, as long as they have brakes (or at least one brake;). We recommend a bike with gears, ideally a roadbike. ⭐️How much is the registration fee?⭐️ 7 euros for single person, 10 euros for a group registration. The time has come: this summer the first real version of the womxn’s Tour de France will take place - @tourdefrancefemmes2022 🎉 We want to celebrate this historical moment with our version of Le Tour - TOUR DE FAIR and set an example for equal womxn’s rights in cycling. TOUR DE FAIR is a simulation of the legendary Tour de France exclusively for WTNB* riders. The race, consisting of flat, mountain and sprint stages, takes place in one day and goes over 70km within the Berlin area.
