Memory and Menace

Nick Fury, Agent of SHIELD #5
Clever. And satisfying, as everything comes together.
Nick and his team ‘see’ what Strucker did, all this years ago.
This is impressively planned out. The memory conceit is much too forced/contrived but the larger story keeps the reader engrossed.

In Memory Ever Green

Nick Fury, Agent of SHIELD #3
Average stuff.
Three of his team captured, Nick is invited to meet the villain.
My problem with this is the same as my problem with all 60s SHIELD stories: Nick Fury doesn’t actually do anything except get attacked by enemies. This issue only moves the story arc forward because Nick gets a message from the villain to come meet him. Nick is probably the most passive of all Marvel heroes.
Three issues of mystery, and I honestly don’t care about any of this. Yet.
