The rental house on the water exceeded Kaori and Kiyoshi’s expectations. The wide archways allow the ocean breeze to flow through the house and the serene wood panelling ties the surrounding nature inside. Kaori feels utterly at peace in her revived ancestral home and in the waters of Sulani. Her true family heritage made itself known when her legs melted into a solid tail of scales and fins once she submerged in the ocean. Kiyoshi loves the heat, sunshine and his fiancee’s contentment but can’t smother the need for adrenaline within himself for much longer. Yuna watches her mother dive through the water from the shore as she chases birds, splashes in the shallows, and plays in the sand for hours. The whole family has seemed to melt into the serenity of island living as they embrace quality family time over heart pumping adventures.

With tickets bought and a rental house booked, it’s time to say goodbye to Kiyoshi’s family in Mt. Komorebi. Kiyoshi’s sister is particularly sad to see her new playmate move to the islands while Yuna’s grandparents can’t wait to visit. Kiyoshi’s parents know the couple is young but they see themselves in Kiyoshi and Kaori, as two young souls who want to show their family the exciting corners of the world.

Kiyoshi and Kaori can barely keep up with Yuna, who has grown into a bouncing, babbling and bashful toddler. With both of her parents’ taste for adventure, Yuna thrills at the chance of any sledding or hiking. Since Yuna’s latest birthday, Kaori has gone back to the slopes but she found that her mastery of the sport doesn’t satisfy her anymore. Both Kaori and Kiyoshi agree that it’s time for a change in scenery, but that means saying goodbye to Kiyoshi’s family in Mt. Komorebi, a family that Kaori has grown to love like her own.

shortly after their engagement Kaori fell pregnant and soon gave birth to their daughter Yuna. Kiyoshi couldn’t be more overjoyed that his fiancee trusted him to start their family together. Kaori has had to stop snowboarding since she discovered she was pregnant, but has gotten quite comfortable without the extreme adrenaline in her life and finds more peace walking the dogs through the forest. Kiyoshi still craves the rush of a perfect run down the expert slope, but fatherhood has started to shifted his perspective. He can see a life of warm serenity and calm closeness with Kaori and their family in her father’s island homeland. Once Yuna is old enough, Kiyoshi will organize a trip to the islands of Sulani to experience a quieter life on the ocean.

some more pics from my let’s play! Kiyoshi and Kaori got engaged at the top of Mt. komorebi after their first successful excursion. I made a new Kaori because the game’s Kaori didn’t seem to like Kiyoshi very much. This Kaori’s father was from Sulani and her mother was from Mt. komorebi. Kiyoshi and Kaori have compatible lifestyles, both are energetic and hungry for adventure, but Kiyoshi’s desire for a big family might put Kaori’s snowboarding career on hold. Kaori sees the possibilities of a life with a big family, but as she’s lost those closest to her she has hesitations. Kaori also dreams of a more laidback life with Kiyoshi if they started a family, one that didn’t involve hours of dangerous mountain excursions or high intensity snowboarding. Her roots still remain in Sulani, her father’s family were once the leaders of the islands. But she loves Kiyoshi’s family in Mt. Komorebi too, his mother, Megumi took her in when Kaori’s grandparents couldn’t care for her as a teenager. However, both Kiyoshi and Kaori agree that they will face all of their troubles and changes united forever.
