Do what you love to do...I have always loved and appreciated photography. I began using a 35mm camera when I was twelve as a way to keep a visual diary. I never thought these snapshots would grow into something more. As I matured and gained a variety of experiences, my vision and sensitivity grew. These photographs became more than just snapshots, as I realized that I could speak about my ideas and experiences through photography. Kapulani Landgraf, Franco Salmoiraghi and David Ulrich has been so generous with their wealth of knowledge, their advice and assistance. I am forever grateful for their generosity and their time. “Drowning”-
As a resident of O'ahu, I have seen the overwhelming amount of cranes and construction of tall, massive, unaffordable high rises. When will it stop? How many more high rises do we need? I feel that we need more nature and preservation than high rises. What about our sewage situation? What will happen in Kaka'ako when all these high rises are built? Our landscape is changing and I'm not sure how many people realize what's happening.
