Yume in Labor (Short) (fraction)

Yume was screaming in agony at the pain of labor. "Yume, can you do six more good pushes for us? You'll get to see your daughter as soon as you do!" The nurse encouraged her. "Make sure not to break eye contact with her." Is what they had told Subaru before labor. "Okay, push!" The nurse commanded. Yume screamed and crushed Subaru's hand in hers while doing so. "You're so close, Mrs. Yūki!" Yume and Subaru weren't married yet, but at the sound of that name gave her strength. She pushed again, and again right after. "You're doing amazing, Yudetako." Subaru rooted her on gently beside her. "Give us three more pushes, Yume!" Kyoko told her daughter from the opposite side. Yume could feel her daughter half way into this world, right in between her legs. Two more agonizing pushes went by. "One more and you'll be done!!" At the last push Yume felt as if she might die. She and Subaru looked down to see their baby, waiting to hear her little cries. Silence. Yume panted and heaved, thinking she was just too exhausted to hear anything. The nurse held a little bloody body in her hands. In all the videos they had watched it showed that once the nurse had the child, she'd put them on the mother's abdomen for a few seconds before washing the baby off. That wasn't happening. The baby's body was limp. The scariest part was that the nurse looked confused and scared. Yume leaned back and panted, everything beginning to turn fuzzy. Kyoko broke the silence. "W-Why isn't the baby moving...?" "...Yume? Yume? Yume!?" Subaru shook her, hoping to wake her "We need everyone out, right now." A nurse ordered, rushing everyone out of the room. _________ An: I just got this idea after reading a fanfic about Yume and Subaru having a baby. >^< it's sooo good so far tho (I'm just evil)

The girl that stood in front of him had her usually tied up ombre hair flowing down to her waist. Her sunset eyes gazed up at the night sky, the one they were experiencing together. A breeze passed by and her hair moved naturally, making him think about the intense natural beauty she has.

Gently, he took her smaller hand in his larger one, making her turn to him in surprise. “Yume.” he whispered smoothly.

Yume’s eyes widened at her name; he never says it.

“I love you, Yudetako”

Both of their faces were flushed red, causing one another to laugh. “You’re bright red!” the girl giggled.

“So are you, idiot!” They continued laughing.

After catching their breaths, he repeated himself. “I love you, stupid.”

The blonde looked up at her smiling boyfriend. “I love you too of course, dummy.”

They gazed into each other’s eyes for a moment before the gap between them closed. Subaru rested a hand on her waist and one was on the back of her head, pulling her closer. She raised her hands up to his face and cupped his cheeks, feeling them burn. Tilting her head up, she saw into his sapphire eyes while he saw into her sunset ones. The brunette leaned down, letting their lips gently yet passionately connect.
