Phenol Formaldehyde Resin

Phenol Formaldehyde resin is a synthetic polymer made by reacting phenol with formaldehyde. It is a thermosetting resin known for its strength, versatility, fire resistance, and thermal stability.
Novolac Resins: These are acid-catalyzed resins and are thermoplastic in nature. They require external heat and a hardener to cure.
Resole Resins: These are alkaline-catalyzed resins that can self-cure with heat and pressure. They can also be cured by adding external acids as catalysts.
