Blood moon watch

I mostly based this off a color palette and a dress designer from mochipanofficial. As well kinda just in a weird funk. Lots are things are changing, both in personal and worldwide, and it's just a lot. It's draining and scary. So, this is just coping, I guess. I like doing a lineless look. I think I'll try to do it more often.

Kandi Girl

Just drew the rainbow chick that I've nicknamed Kandi for a bit. Just drew her as a POC, and I think she's pretty either way. And keeping the eyes simple reminds me of like older animated show styles. Kinda like scoobydoo or something

Study practice

I used a few different references since I often struggle drawing Hobie, mostly is hair and lips. Since his hair in most pictures is either really dark with no like visually defined texture to me, or a void. Though correct me if I'm wrong, I wanna know if I'm just being stupid. And his lips, it's mostly the top lip that I struggle with. I struggle drawing expressive mouths and the upper lip in general but since his top is darker i thought it might help me actually see how it moves?? idk

Though I do noticed some differences that would help me. Like for one, be very loose in my shapes and allow the hair to have room to just be around him. His very defined cheekbones and jaw. Like it's something I always noticed it but drawing it is like a different story.

These aren't the best but I'm pretty happy with them. And i really like how the spread looks, I like the layering I did as well. I though pages like these were like planed out but- no lol I may do more of theses, it was fun.

How I draw Hobie？

First, draw a crosshair for positioning. Then use blocks of color to draw the general shape of the face, neck, and facial features.

His hair is messy so just draw a rough outline first. Then use the eraser to create the desired shape.

Lower the transparency and sketch based on the facial features. At the last, you can apply color and liquefy it to make it look more in line with your aesthetic.
