I dont like to look back as I like to see what I am doing now and what I will do for the future. BUT today I got a notification from google and this collage of photos appeared while I am in London now, and I smiled. I smiled because sometimes we forget how much we did and do, how much we give, and how much effort we put into something to turn it out beautiful like this. Along with beautiful people who support it all the time. One of my best moments in Palestine is when I am in the studio: Ramallah Ballet Center. People often ask me "did you leave the center?" Did you close it?" I say Its ok, you can ask those questions. So I study abroad, and I am doing everything to develop myself and this project. This space has been running for 8 years now and thanks to my Mama who is helping me while I am finishing my masters (cultures studies including dance knowledge, heritage and practices).. I am managing it online and this education is a support to come back to Palestine with new ideas... I am aware of our situation and how difficult it is here. It is sad that people (including me) always want to leave and its ok we can leave to find better opportunities, but we don't want to give up on our dreams and never on our country! SO Wherever I am, this centre will never close, it is developing to be an art studio now, a hub which is welcoming kids adult and artist from all around the world. It offers them classes and a space to dance and express. So if you ask me if I will ever leave it, my answer will be NEVER. Beside my soul is in it, this my Passion💙 Now wait for summer for more classes, more ideas. Ending the year of 2018 with good vibes, working and thinking of the beautiful moments which occured during this year. I was so blessed during 2018, have been to six countries; moved out from Norway where I had been studying, and lived the toughest winter. I had an amazing experience which made me grow as a person, met people whom will be friends for life. In 2018 I have stayed in Hungary for a while, visited Austria, Prague, and spent the summer in Greece, and finally lived for the fall in France where major changes happened ❤. Now I am writing this while at home visiting, surrounded by the love and warmth of my beloved country Palestine. Working from my favourite coffee shop in town with my girl, looking forward for 2019 to live, work and study my LAST semester of my choreomundus master, where I will be in London. My arms are open wide for new opportunities, new countries, and new experiences to enter my journey. For everyone who is reading this I hope you will feel motivated for the new year, and if 2018 failed you, take it as an experience and move forward, well try again NOW. I walk in the streets of Jerusalem and I feel it. It is not fear, never! The sad story despite the high spirit of the people who are living there, is that around the gate lots of soldiers trying to spread fear to make people life's in Jerusalem harder. Trying to tease the passengers to make a trouble. A fight could happen between a soldiers and a kid in a rapid of eye. That is as described by MICHIKO KAKUTANI "A Hall of Mirrors," 1967: a city of secret labyrinths and mysterious subcultures, a place of extremes, where bizarre alliances are quickly formed and even more quickly dissolved, a realm where misinformation masquerades as fact and facts are passed off as truth.
