Nagaland government's embargo on dog meat. Many celebutante and august homo-sapiens took to the social media extolling the move of Nagaland Government. No doubt its ginormous, but after a long contemplation some quirks have to be made clear to the so called savants. India is a land of melange and it is the idiosyncrasy that makes our country different from others. Bigotry with humans or animal, its just unendurable and gratuitous. Do chickens, fish and other animals don't have emotions? Or does it mean that any animal that is not mentioned to be domesticated in general, can be eaten or slaughtered? No, if you are empathetic to dogs then you have to be empathetic to other animals too. Its a homespun postulation that dogs have been opined and treated as friendly pets since ages. Lets see some facts, bacon is normally consumed on every bright sunny day as a breakfast in USA and being in one's salad days or in dotage, enjoys it but it is considered wrong to be consumed in many traditions and religions. Mongolia is the biggest exporter of horse meat and many countries in Europe prefer consuming horse meat. But does it mean that the Joe public don't adulate the animals. Its just the human proclivity and the cognizance about various animals If we go a 100 years back what we knew about fishes, to the hilt nought. But as the world became complex and advanced we came to know that fishes do confabulate through radiations. A person in USA subjugated lions so that doesn't mean that lions can be domesticated by everyone. He had a deep comportment gen of lions so he understood them better than a normal person. In this similar way if we study about the demeanor of various other animals, we will come to know and feel too that they do have emotions. They need the same aroha as dogs need. Domestication don't make an animal lovabl. Its the penchant of the mankind what to consume and what not to consume. I would like to quote, copied from somewhere " If you don't want to eat______ then don't eat. But don't force it on others". This blank can be filled with anything like chicken, fish, horse, bacon and do apply it on yourself. The over all nitty gritty of this monograph is not hurting anyone's sentiments but make them be au fait of the sentiments of other species. Hammering the final nail, don't discriminate an animal on the basis of any ground rather if you are empathetic to the slaughter of one animal be empathetic to other animal too.
