A Horribly Incomplete Compendium of Pentiversian Species

Fairies - The oldest entities in the Pentiverse. Created four of the five universes (the origin of their own is shrouded in mystery). Little is truly known about them. Mysterious, diverse beings of magic. Incredibly powerful.

Pure Elementals - Fire, water, earth, and air. The first beings created by the Fae Pantheon. Magic limited mostly to control over their own elements. Live in all three primary realms. Will be elaborated on later. A variety of other elemental subtypes have since come into existence.

Elves - Some of the most common inhabitants of the Pentiverse, inhabiting all three primary realms. Very powerful innate magic. Several subspecies are known.

Eilatas (s. Eilatan) - Native exclusively to the Celestial Realm. Also known as "winged ones" or "angels." Favored by the Fae Purity, they hold themselves to high standards and often believe that they are the best species.

Daienti (s. Daienta) - Native to the Infernal Realm. Often called demons, though this is not a term which is appreciated. They have powerful magic, and often a high moral code. Facing millenia of discrimination, they tend not to leave their home realm, though many do.

Dwarves - Native inhabitants of the Terrestrial Realm, excluding areas inhabited by humans. They often are deeply tied to nature and are very hearty beings.

Humans - Native to the Terrestrial Realm, specifically the planet Earth. Rarely possess magical capabilities, though many do. Those who do not possess magical capabilities are generally unaware of the existence of magic.

"Anamalian elves, a subspecies of elf native to the dwarf planet Anamalia, are a unique and strange species. Unlike other elfin subspecies, they developed characteristics similar to animals, a trait making them the most diverse species known in the pentiverse.

Oddly, while other elfin species are some of the most proficient magic users in the pentiverse, it is uncommon for Anamalians to have substantial magical capabilities. Some believe that this is due to their innate magic being redirected into their unique characteristics at birth.

While many believe that one's animal characteristics are impacted by their destinies as individuals, this is nonsensical pseudoscience. Generally, their characteristics are somewhat influenced by their parents, but, often, they are completely random."
