Stop making Excuses Batman

Flash Appreciation Post and Another Post Roasting Bruce.

“I’m sorry I haven’t had more time, Damian.The city is in danger. That requires my full focus.” 

The Flash, with similar amounts of responsibility as Batman:   

“Run with me.”

“Did you just walk me to school?”

“I had to make sure that you got there.” 

“Stay close to me!”

“Wally look at me. There is nothing wrong with you.”

“But…Wally…can take care of himself. And I don’t owe him the kind of apologizes I owe you. I shouldn’t have–”

“Wait–I’ve been trying to get a hold of  you for days. I promise I’ve changed. I know how I acted before was wrong. But there’s something I need to show you.”

“No..no, not at all. Iris and I will talk when we’re both ready…But…run with me and I’d love to show you how I am trying, okay?”

“I trust you to do it on your own. But this time you can also do it with our help and support. I let us run alone for too long. It’s time we ran together again…”

“SHOOT! I’ve been running so long I forgot I told Iris, Wallace and Avery that I’d make it back to Iris’s house tonight! And Wallace and Avery were going to make dinner!”

“I’m sorry I’m…late…” 

I’m tired of Bruce making excuses for his neglect especially when he blames it on not having enough time. 

Barry has as much responsibilities as Bruce and yet almost ALWAYS makes time for his family. Some may point out that Barry is superhuman and therefore should not be compared to Bruce. Bruce may not have superpowers but he has something Barry doesn’t: money (or well he used to). But just Barry’s abilities give him the speed to spare some time for his family Bruce’s money and fast vehicles grant him enough time to look over his son. 

When Barry apologizes he doesn’t make excuses like Bruce does. He admits his fault and promises to do better. And he actually makes the effort to SHOW them he’s trying. And you know, that’s all I need from a busy hero, to show me they are trying to be better. 

Bruce has made no effort whatsoever to contact his son or run after him when tragedy strikes. Barry has done both and even more. Barry confesses to trying to contact Wallace multiple times and when Wallace found out his father died…Barry immediately dropped everything and ran after him. He even sat down with him and talked to him for a long time in attempt to comfort him.  

There is a reason  why I get so frustrated with Bruce’s treatment of his family especially of Damian and have come to the point were the only thing I feel for Bruce is pure hatred. There’s a reason why I get so frustrated when people defend his actions and inaction’s…like just admit Bruce is written badly but don’t defend him for being a horrible father. 

Barry tries to be better while Bruce says he will try and never does. 

If Barry can make time for his family despite his responsibilities, I expect Bruce to do the same.

Trying to explain parents in Yu-Gi-Oh! like...

This is the protagonist, Yugi.

His Dad is always out on business and is never home. This is his mother.

She showed up in a total of one episode and doesn’t seem to have much involvement in his life aside from proving Yugi wasn’t formed in a test tube somewhere.

Yugi is really raised by his Grandpa, Sugoroku.

He used to be an avid gambler in his wilder days (but he won all the time, so everyone treats it as a healthy hobby). He seems to have a liberal policy regarding child rearing, so that’s why Yugi can go on adventures with no real consequence to his home life. Why so many adventures? Well, it’s because he’s inhabited by a Pharaoh.

This is Atem. You get to see him as a baby in the show, but his mother is not shown, so we just assume his father had relations with the hedgehog-headed goddess of fertility off screen. This is his dad, Pharaoh Akhenamkhanen.

He left Atem a legacy and gave him some kingly advice before his passing, but he also (unknowingly) gave the order to massacre an entire village in order to create magical jewelry. This massacre was initiated and led by his brother, Priest Akhenaden.

He is the father of this guy, Priest Set.

Akhenaden took control of his son’s mind and forsook his own humanity to serve Egyptian Cthulhu.

Oh, and that entire massacre I mentioned earlier? It led to the creation of this guy.

We should start this at least somewhat wholesomely. Can I request The Abnormal class finding out Iruma’s a human (and accepting him)?

Aww this is such a nice request! I wasn’t sure if you wanted hcs or a scenario so I decided on writing a short scenario! I hope you enjoy this and thank you for being my first request <3

“You’ve got to be kidding me.” Asmodeus said as he rolled his eyes. “There’s no way Iruma-sama is a human.”

Sabnock had Iruma thrown over his shoulder, with wide eyes, he wildly shook his hand towards Asmodeus. 

“I-I swear,” he stuttered. “I wanted to see my rivals wings so I took off his shirt. There. was. nothing. there.” his voice cracked at the end of his sentence.  

At this point Iruma was quivering with fear. He had given up trying to escape Subnock’s grip and waited for his faith. With watery eyes he watched as the other students gathered around them. They all looked confused. Without any warning Subnock lifted Iruma and placed him on the ground. Iruma’s legs wobbled for a second but he quickly found his balance. He felt his cheeks heating up when he noticed that all eyes were on him. He flinched when Subnock reached out to him with both hands. 

“See,” Subnock said as he tucked Iruma’s loose strands behind his ears. “The tips of his ears are round.” 

“That doesn’t-” 

Asmodeus was quickly cut off when Subnock pulled Iruma’s shirt off of him. Iruma, as a reflex, tried to cover up his torso. He shivered when he felt the cold air hit his bear chest. Subnock placed a hand on Iruma’s neck and bend him to expose his back. 

“No wings.”

A sound of shock echoed throughout the classroom. All the students were looking at his back with wide eyes and gaping mouths. When Subnock reached out to pull down his pants, Iruma knew it was time to stop this. 

“Heeeey,” Iruma squealed as he batted Subnock’s hands away. “I’ll save you the trouble I don’t have a tail either.” 

“Maybe he’s a different type of demon?” Shax asked, tilting his head. 

“A demon with no wings? Doubt it.” Jazz replied. 

“Humans don’t exist.” Crocell mumbled from underneath her breath. 

The whole class quieted down when Asmodeus took a step towards Iruma. Iruma’s heart pounded loudly in his chest, not wanting to face his friend he averted his eyes. 

“Iruma-sama, is this true?” he sounded hurt. “Are you a human?”

Iruma swallowed the knot that formed in his throat. He didn’t want to admit the truth, especially if Asmodeus was going to continue to look at him like a wounded puppy. 

Maybe he should make a run for it? No, that wouldn’t work. He was surrounded. Iruma took a sharp breath and locked his eyes with Asmodeus. 

“Yes. It’s true.” then his eyes traveled around to face all of his classmates. He felt a sharp pain in his heart when he noticed how confused and hurt Clara looked. But it was too late to take back the truth. “I’m human.” he whispered. 

“That can’t be…” 

The classroom went eerily quiet. A million scenarios went through Iruma’s head. Would they eat him? Attack him? Send him back to earth? He was surprised when Clara tackled him and wrapped her arms around his chest as if she was a koala bear. 

“I don’t care if Iruma-chi is human,” she yelled out towards their classmates. “He plays with me without asking anything in return and I’m his friend. I don’t care.” she then, true to her character, stuck her tongue out.  

Iruma felt tears starting to sting his eyes. “Thank you Clara.” he breathed out. 

But Clara wasn’t done yet. She glared at Asmodeus who still seemed baffled and betrayed. 

“Azu-azu is also Iruma-chi’s friend.” 

At that point Iruma didn’t even dare to breathe. The back of his shirt was sticking to his back due to sweat and his mouth was dry as sandpaper. Asmodeus sighed and stood next to the two, placing a hand on Iruma’s shoulder, he gave it a reassuring squeeze. 

“Of course I am.” 

The three of them looked at rest of the class. Iruma was pretty sure Asmodeus was ready to attack anyone who might try to well...eat him. His classmates looked at each other for a moment, probably trying to decide what to do. The first one to walk towards them is Subnock.

“You’re still my rival even if you’re a human.” 

The second one to come forward is Crocell, she didn’t say anything but it was clear that she had accepted Iruma for who he is. 

“I guess it’s kind of cool that you’re human.” Jazz muttered stepping forward. 

Soon enough all of the students were pestering Iruma with questions. Did he ever taste himself? how did it feel to be human? what did they eat on earth? what did earth look like? Did he miss home? Iruma couldn’t keep track of all the questions, he stuttered and took a step back. The only question that caught his short attention span was Elizabetta asking if the teachers knew that he was human.

“They don’t.” he replied nervously. “And it needs to stay a secret or grandpa will get in trouble.” 

Iruma’s lips formed the brightest of smiles when the whole class agreed in unison. He was so lucky to have such understanding people as his classmates. This time he couldn’t hold back his tears and tried to hide his face with his hands as the salty liquid stained his flushed cheeks. 

“Hey hey,” he heard Shax saying. “Don’t cry.”

“Yeah!” Garp agreed. “This is the abnormal class after all. We’re all different so it wouldn’t be right to tell on you.” 

Iruma finally removed his hands when he felt Clara trying to shove a bar of chocolate between them. Taking everyone by surprise, he bowed down. 

“Thank you so much!” he yelled out. 

“No worries,” Subnock chuckled, slapping Iruma’s back. “We won’t tell anyone that you’re human!”

“Iruma… is a human?”

The whole class froze when they heard Kalego’s question echoing throughout the classroom.

Iruma’s Evil-Cycle

Spoilers for manga 🚨🚨🚨

I’ve been going back and re-reading the manga and have realized that even though it was considered to be iruma’s “evil-cycle” he doesn’t do a single thing during that time that would be considered “bad” or “evil”. During the entirety of the arc he is polite, diplomatic, assertive, and is aware of how unfairly treated his fellow classmates are. None of that strikes me as being a bad thing, in fact, they all point to traits of a king. This was by far one of my favorite arcs of the manga and I look forward to seeing more bad!iruma.

May I inquire as to a (post discovery iruma is human) reaction from the class maybe??? (If that's too many, limit it to whoever you choose!!l reaction to finding out about iruma parents and the life they gave him and such?? (Such as why hes so good at being evasive)

So I decided to write this as headcanons because I thought it would be easier, I hope that was okay! ^^ Thank you for requesting and have a lovely day <3

After finding out Iruma is human the whole class treats him as he might break at any moment. Since they know that humans don’t posses powers,wings or even tails they always dote over him. Except for Subnock, he still treats him as the strong rival that Iruma is.

Asmodeus asks Iruma how he was able to avoid his attacks without any powers or training, his answer truly upsets him. The fact that Iruma’s family put him in danger so many times that the poor blue haired boy adapted such a skill, almost made him cry. 

Clara always asks about Iruma’s life before he came here. Not knowing his circumstances on earth and gathering the fact that Clara is quite attached to her family, she only assumes that Iruma is miserable here. When he tells her not to worry and that he didn’t have any friends or an actual family that cared for him like families are supposed to on earth, needless to say Clara cries. She also pulls out numerous sweets from her pockets and gives them all to Iruma. 

Crocell on the other hand is lowkey annoyed that Iruma is getting so much attention. But finally coming to her senses and assuming that this whole situation was probably hard on him. Afterall, humans were considered as food. To make him feel more welcome she gifts him a signed CD of her akudol persona. 

Subnock, wanting a strong rival, would take it upon himself to train Iruma. Iruma appreciated this but he had to stop due to the training being a bit too intense. 

Lied is just curious about what kind of games that humans play, he’s pleasantly surprised when Iruma tells him that it’s quite similar. He loves playing games with Iruma and according to him, Iruma is the best player in class.  

Iruma has no idea but the whole class stops singing the anthem. If they must, they only move their lips. They didn’t want to taste the flesh of a friend after all.

Finally seeing the training Iruma did was a nice touch to chapter 124, as well as the small moment where Iruma dropped a bit of the abuse his parents put him through. I loved it.

I saw just a glimpse of wicked phase Iruma, and I hope this is the first step to them becoming one.

when people try to say all isekai are the same when they our not. 

there some with slow world building, there others that have horror and death right in your face and not afraid too get real, there others that drag the mc/fc to another place, time travel, or was reborn.

there also some that deal with romance, too fan service.

A cowardly main character that is a pushover for gag purposes? Who’s ultimate destiny is to rule over a bloodthirsty underworld despite his desire to be normal? Who has insanely large shoes to fill as the unofficial ‘grandson’ of a powerful and revered underworld leader? Gathering friends who view themselves as his allies, including a fiery hothead right hand man who is overly reverent toward the main character and prone to picking fights with everyone else?

I was ready to drop Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun like a hot potato, I’d seen that set up before.

But every time I braced for the punch? For when a teacher would scoff at him for being cowardly or when a friend would trample all over his wishes. I was ready for everyone to blatantly use Iruma as a stepping stone and you know what?

I was proven wrong every time.
