So let's understand what's going on:
Scenario 1:
- @oristian found an art piece on pinterest, without credits, and used the reference pose for a fanart
- after a while, someone found the artist of the reference pose, and katie contacted them and explained the situation, everything was resolved BETWEEN THEM and the artist in question gave katie permission
Scenario 2:
- another artist, who this time knew katie and had already tagged her in their posts, copied a gwynriel fanart of hers and made an elriel version without first asking permission from the commissioners of the art or the artist, even though they previously knew who the commissioners and artists were
- katie posted about it on her stories showing her discontent with the plagiarism, which caused Sara Anne and other elriels to attack katie (including involving the artist from scenario 1) and invalidate her discomfort because she "copied another artist" (scenario 1) so “she has no right to complain”

- plus: these same elriels are actively supporting the artist who plagiarized the gwynriel art, even when the commissioners did not allow the use of their art (which is their intellectual property btw) and when they requested that credits be given to all those involved, this did not happen, the credits were only given to the commission artist

SJM has spoken about how music inspires her writing and in all of her series we’ve seen her love for it extend to her characters as well. We saw it with Aelin, Bryce, Nesta and now with both Gwyn and Azriel.
Some of my favorite lines SJM has written are where she uses music as a metaphor for love:
✨ 𝒲𝑒 𝓌𝑒𝓇𝑒 𝒶 𝓈𝑜𝓃𝑔 𝓉𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝒽𝒶𝒹 𝒷𝑒𝑒𝓃 𝓈𝓊𝓃𝑔 𝒻𝓇𝑜𝓂 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓋𝑒𝓇𝓎 𝒻𝒾𝓇𝓈𝓉 𝑒𝓂𝒷𝑒𝓇 𝑜𝒻 𝓁𝒾𝑔𝒽𝓉 𝒾𝓃 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓌𝑜𝓇𝓁𝒹.
✨ 𝒜𝓏𝓇𝒾𝑒𝓁 𝑒𝓃𝓉𝑒𝓇𝑒𝒹 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓌𝒶𝓇𝓂𝓉𝒽 𝑜𝒻 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓈𝓉𝒶𝒾𝓇𝓌𝑒𝓁𝓁, 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝒶𝓈 𝒽𝑒 𝒹𝑒𝓈𝒸𝑒𝓃𝒹𝑒𝒹, 𝒽𝑒 𝒸𝑜𝓊𝓁𝒹 𝒽𝒶𝓋𝑒 𝓈𝓌𝑜𝓇𝓃 𝒶 𝒻𝒶𝒾𝓃𝓉, 𝒷𝑒𝒶𝓊𝓉𝒾𝒻𝓊𝓁 𝓈𝒾𝓃𝑔𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒻𝑜𝓁𝓁𝑜𝓌𝑒𝒹 𝒽𝒾𝓂. 𝒞𝑜𝓊𝓁𝒹 𝒽𝒶𝓋𝑒 𝓈𝓌𝑜𝓇𝓃 𝒽𝒾𝓈 𝓈𝒽𝒶𝒹𝑜𝓌𝓈 𝓈𝒶𝓃𝑔 𝒾𝓃 𝒶𝓃𝓈𝓌𝑒𝓇.
✨ 𝐹𝑜𝓇 𝒾𝓉 𝓌𝒶𝓈 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓂𝓊𝓈𝒾𝒸 𝒷𝑒𝓉𝓌𝑒𝑒𝓃 𝓉𝒽𝑒𝒾𝓇 𝓈𝑜𝓊𝓁𝓈. 𝒜𝓁𝓌𝒶𝓎𝓈 𝒽𝒶𝒹 𝒷𝑒𝑒𝓃. 𝒜𝓃𝒹 𝒽𝒾𝓈 𝓋𝑜𝒾𝒸𝑒 𝓌𝒶𝓈 𝒽𝑒𝓇 𝒻𝒶𝓋𝑜𝓇𝒾𝓉𝑒 𝓂𝑒𝓁𝑜𝒹𝓎.

I cannot wait to read the magical and melodic lines SJM writes through our Songbird, Gwyn 🩵✨
@roscheriart you were so amazing to work with I’m in love with your fairytale artwork. You created such a perfect piece of our moonlit Nymph Priestess, Gwyn. Thank you 🩵✨

My second entry for @gwynweekofficial
I think Gwyn cutting the Ribbon is such a phoenix moment , the moment she rises and becomes a Valkyrie and the moment that marks the rebirth of the Valkyries.
Given it's Az who helps her with cutting that Ribbon it was only fair he is part of the scene.

Gwyn’s journey in ACOSF by SJM beautifully captures the spirit of a warrior. With every step she takes to train and grow stronger, she embodies courage and resilience, pushing through her fears and honoring her sister’s memory.
Our hope for Gwyn is that one day she feels the presence of her sister watching over her, guiding her in spirit. That she may come to realize that Catrin’s spirit was not just a memory to honor but an integral part of her own being, a source of strength and inspiration that will always be with her, cheering her on as she embraces her destiny as the first reborn Valkyrie.
When we approached our dear sweet friend/ @majuandrad with this idea, our goal was to capture Catrin’s spirit living on through Gwyn. We cannot thank her enough for bringing this beautiful concept to life. We wanted to convey Gwyn experiencing that comforting sensation of her sister’s spirit right there by her side, proud of the person she has become and @lulufoxlainfawn and I are absolutely in love with it and so excited to finally share it with you all, we cant thank Maju enough.

Gwyn Week Day 1 Phoenix - The Spirit of a Warrior
@gwynweekofficial
Gwyn is a phoenix rising from the ashes after what she went through when she saved the children of Sangravah. She watched her sister fall in front of her and endured suffering like no one should. But she rose up again in ACOSF and is marching down a new path as a reborn Valkyrie.
Her strength and resilience in the face of adversity is awe inspiring. I am excited to see how else she will rise from the ashes of her past and stride towards a new dawn.

Here I have an amazing Gwyn ready for a fight. I always pictured her going for twin daggers 🗡️ especially being trained at using them by some of the best warriors in Prythian 🦇
Thank you so much for this gorgeous piece @skr3m_art it’s absolutely stunning.

“Something sparked in Azriel’s chest, but he only nodded his thanks and left. He could picture it, though, as he ascended the stairs back to the House proper. How Gwyn’s teal eyes might light upon seeing the necklace. For whatever reason… he could see it.
But Azriel tucked away the thought, consciously erasing the slight smile it brought to his face. Buried the image down deep, where it glowed quietly.
A thing of secret, lovely beauty.”

Gwyn Week Day One: Phoenix @gwynweekofficial - Gwyn is shaped by her courage and she rose beyond fear and doubt. Each challenge became a step toward her destiny. No longer just a warrior - she is a higher power
At the end of ACOSF, when she leads the beasts to attack the Illyrians to protect her sisters, she proved that she had become lethal. For this first day, I wanted to portray her getting ready for the funeral of her enemies (also she always finds a use for a dagger!)

I said before that the best option is to give up on this announcement. We all know how absurd this delay is (it’s been 4 years!). But that’s how it’s going to be… I believe we’ll get a book next year, and the announcement should happen around June or July this year. We’ll probably just wake up on some random day and find the book announcement.
That said, taking a break from the fandom is a great idea. Everyone’s really tired and at their limit.
