muses-of-the-multiverse:
Revali looks utterly baffeled by the strangers…they were words they spoke right? It sounded completely foreign to Revali, but that can’t be right. They’re a Shiekah, so they should be able to speak common Hylian too…right? Then again, he’s never seen a Shiekah wearing such clothes. He could only recognize them as such due to the Shiekah symbol on it.
Okay, time to try something else. He’s learned a bit of sign language in the time the Link he knows has been gone. Just in case he needs to use it to communicate with him. So he tries to sign “Can you understand this?” He has no idea if they can read what he signed, but it was worth a shot.
The baffled expression was answer enough that this strange being had no idea what he’d said. How could he be in Hyrule and not be understood? Unless... Of course, something happened with the Ocarina of Time possibly. Regardless, he’d have to investigate and get actual facts before he jumped to conclusions.
Seeing the movement has him refocusing entirely before noting the signs. Ah! That at least is the same. Eventually he nods and signs back, “yes I can understand this. Allow me to apologize for before but I woke up in this field... I do not know what’s happening.”

muses-of-the-multiverse:
Revali was collecting the bits and pieces of the remains of the Guardian when Shiek dropped down. His back was turned to Shiek, and they could see on Revali’s cape was the Kokiri Emerald. “Well, I hope you’ve learned a lesson about staying away from-” He says before turning to face Shiek, and looking rather shocked. A Shiekah? Here, away from Kakariko Village? Well, that is rather unexpected.
The sight of the Kokiri Emerald was both a relief and puzzling. Most people, even the Kokiri, didn’t know much about the Spiritual Stone. It had him on alert but more so when the bird-man spoke. The words were so painfully familiar but he couldn’t discern what was being said. Not even with his knowledge of other languages.
Seeing the surprise on the other’s face did little to surprise him. Most found it rare to find a Sheikah but what he didn’t know is that his clothes would be terribly outdated to any who knew of the Sheikah now a days.
“I am sorry for not realizing there was danger but I also did not expect to find danger wherever this happens to be. Thank you for your help.”
Hopefully the other would understand his words but considering he couldn’t understand the Rito it wasn’t very promising.

muses-of-the-multiverse:
Continued from here.
Revali immediately heard the Guardian laser go off. He looked to the source, and couldn’t help but let out a groan. He had specifically informed everyone to stay AWAY from the Central Hyrule Field! For now, he’s diving at the Guardian, bow drawn. He aims a bomb arrow at its eye, and launches 3, knocking it backwards. He then draws a feathered edge with his feet talons, and cleaves one of the legs off.
Before it can aim at him again, he uses his gale to once again take to the skies, and pelt its eye with more arrows.
The Sheikah watched the battle from his perch in the tree. Red eyes took in all the new information, noting the weak point in the strange contraption and how this new species attacked with practiced precision. So, was this a common enemy? More importantly was where he was. Taking his gaze away to look at his surroundings finally Sheik’s eyes widened at the sight of the Castle in distance, shrouded in darkness and ruined. What? But the Hero of Time had saved Hyrule! What’s... What’s going on?
Once the machine was taken care of Sheik jumped down from the tree with ease, hoping the strange new race would be willing to give him information.

Revali flew about, this time near Central Hyrule. He was in the area to secure Guardian Parts for Robbie and Purrah, as they had sent him a request for it. So, he was flying over the landscape, bow on his back, as he looked about for easy Guardians to take out and secure parts from. (@muses-of-the-multiverse)
The warrior was waking up in a daze, memories hazy about what had just happened. However, hearing the sound of steps approaching him and then a beeping had him snapping back into clarity quickly. It took no time at all to see the approaching threat though it did cause him to a pause. What was that thing?! He’d never seen anything like that in his life! Once the beeping ended he had only his quick reflexes and training to thank for not being vaporized by its attack. Goddesses what had happened?! Deciding to dwell on this later, the Sheikah slammed down a deku nut to teleport a short distance away into a tall tree where thankfully he lost the threat.
“... Goddesses...”

"Oh-- Look at that!" It's without a word of further warning that he reached over to pluck something atop the Sheikah's head, hand revealing a bright red leaf having fallen from one of many nearby autumn trees. "You've been blessed by the tree!" He beamed with laughter, holding the blaze up closer to the other's face. "And it matches your eyes, too!"
Sheik tenses and looks quite ready to attack whatever perceived threat the Hero accompanying him found. That is until the taller boy is reaching over to his head. Instincts and training screamed to stop Link from grabbing anything on his head but he fought down that instinct, remaining still.
Seeing the leaf has him relaxing after realizing that of course the Hero of Time wouldn’t actually take off his turban or cowl. Link was too kind for that.
“So I have and it does. It’s a nice shade.”
It was wonderful that the seasons were changing finally, especially to what is arguably his favorite one.
“What should we do with such a blessing, Hero?”

Hello there! This is a blog for Revali from LoZ: Breath of the Wild, specifically. I’m just a returning RPer coming back to an old muse after a good year or so’s break, feel free to call me Kumo! I’ve gotta relearn everything, but if you could please, reblog this if you’re interested in writing with this smug bird! So far, the pages and everything are temporary, but hopefully that won’t be too much of a problem! I promise we don’t bite– or, well… peck?

It feels almost foreign to be back in his homeland of Hyrule. How long had he been out scouting for this desired intel? It felt like years. He sighed softly and looked about the familiar landscape of Hyrule Field stretching out before him.
