if scully was in the same situation as skinner in s8 finale (not necessarily the exact same circumstances but basically where krycek was threatening to shoot mulder and she had the direct means to kill him) do you think she would've killed krycek or not

no i don’t think so. i mean i do think she would have intervened but i think she would have shot him in the leg or the shoulder or something. skinner 1. is more of a hothead to begin with 2. had extremely immediate personal beef and 3. was not thinking about the future consequences of his actions the way scully probably would have at least considered. but also i don’t think krycek was ever actually going to kill mulder in the first place (at least if we’re talking about the s8 finale) so whether she would shoot him or not is kinda immaterial

4 Side Dish Fics for U.S. Thanksgiving

Some of you don't celebrate but might want to dip in temporarily through fiction. Some of you might need something fast to read while you hide in the bathroom and read on your phone. Just four quick fics (including one of mine) -- I'm sure there are many more.

far away to the west and south - audries A season 6 character study set at Thanksgiving. A particularly well-written contribution to that beloved genre of "party at the Gunmen's."

How To Fake An Orgasm - sab and punk This Thanksgiving-set story is an unusual jealousy fic (with Mulder/other, so beware if that bothers you) in that it shows Scully's jealousy playing out in a very understated, subtle way. Mulder decides to try dating, dates a normal woman; it gradually unravels. This DOES end MSR.

Seven Days - Jintian This is actually a fic centered on Mulder's fraught relationship with his mom, although it also shows the tight post-Amor Fati link between Mulder and Scully. Painful, beautiful.

How To Eat Pleasant Holiday Meals With Co-Workers . This is my Thanksgiving fic, so obvious self-promotion. I wrote the first chapter as an exchange prompt asking for early season Thanksgiving, so it's set season 1. Then I added on four other Thanksgivings in different years.

krycek is just the perfect character…..gay, annoying, terrible at his job. he looks at a decades long conspiracy that he’s killed people for and everyone around him devotes their lives to, and thinks, “i have no horse in this race.”

he has no life goal except to see who he feels like hanging out with that day. on monday he will commit murder for the syndicate. he may or may not hit the right person. on wednesday he will get bored and tell mulder where the aliens are, give him a little kiss. què serà serà.

it was kinda crazy that they arrested bobby briggs for murdering laura palmer on the basis of “you missed football practice the morning she was found”. not even a “come on down to the station for questioning” they put that boy in handcuffs in the school library
