Some thoughts/theory on the new Digimon series

I’ve been having this thought ever since the first episode aired but had to scream it out when I saw ep 2. I might be overthinking this but I just had to spit it out xD

Tho seems impossible, I think the Digimon Adventure 2020 is basically the real world “reset” from Tri. Or in Koshiro’s word: reboot. OH?

Yes, I might be overthinking this but seeing how Agumon wasn’t as excited as he was when he first saw Taichi, it made me feel like Agumon has been waiting for the “reborn” Taichi in 2020. And this scene where after Taichi saved him, we got a moment where Agumon was looking at Taichi like this

This look gave me the “You’re still the same Taichi” vibe and I- jsafhsljdkf

Ok, I just brushed it off as maybe Agumon was just thankful that Taichi stepped  in to save him BUT THEN EPISODE 2 CAME AND OOOOOOH BOIIII

“So you were alive.” This line clearly indicates that these two know each other from before. But if they could recognized each other in their Champion forms, they have to saw each other evolving before. If they were to follow the original with the 02, they cannot evolve unless they have Yamato and Taichi and the digivices.

I’m going to wait for the other Chosen Children to appear to see the interactions with the rest of the Digimons but I seriously think these Digimons witnessed the real world reboot and have been waiting since to reunite with the children. But hey, I’m probably just overthinking this.
