Hello friends and strangers of the internet! I am climbing out of my little hidden corner of this world to request your assistance.

I am working on a fairly big school project (although the project will continue after school ends, so no worries about being late) and I need as many people to participate as possible.

The basic premise is that people send me a photo of their eye and a secret, then I draw that eye and secret, post it on the internet (the submitter remains anonymous), and add it to my growing collection of eyes.

I finished reading The Book Thief by Markus Zusak again today. It wasn’t the first time I’ve read it, and it won’t be the last.

There’s really no reason to post about it, but it’s my all time favourite book and I feel like I should recommend it to everybody.

Ariel, master of all four elements. They're the best character from The Tempest by far. Oct 7 - Avatar: The Last Airbender experienced a renaissance this year! So, in tribute to that, take any character from something else and depict them as a fan of ATLA.

I imagine we'd have a lot of reindeer instead of ghosts while trick or treating.

Oct 6 - Nightmare Before Christmas was a tail about if Halloween took over Christmas. What if the reverse happened? What would Christmas make Halloween look like?

Oct 5 - Take a traditional scary tale and portray a plot point or poke fun at a character in the form of a MEME!

I am crawling out of the depths of anxiety to deliver what will hopefully be a full month of art. Cross your fingers.

I’ll be using Thomas Sanders prompts again, because they’re fun and more specific than the usual prompt lists.

act i. scene ii.

“-see you in the next video! Goodbye!” The recording clicks off, and Jack leans back, blowing out a heavy sigh. The days don’t get any longer, but the workload only seems to swell.

The door creaks behind him, but is drowned out by the humming sound of the electronics all around. He swings his chair around, standing- and freezing when he sees Jackie standing there.

A heartbeat passes. Then another. Neither moves. Something prickles up the back of Jack’s neck. Jackie holds himself too stiffly; there’s something crueler to the set of his jaw. 

Then Jackie stalks forward, and every doubt that something is wrong is blown out of the water. 

Jack quickly backs up. His eyes never leave Jackie’s. 

“When were you going to tell us?”

act i. scene i.

The theater sprawls out before him, grand, but… empty. The hall is magnificent; the stage gleaming, but not a soul is present to admire it. 

“That won’t do.” 

His voice echoes back at him, bouncing off of marbled floors that give way to velvet redder than the paint glittering on his nails.

“T̕he la͠cķ ̴o̶f t̨he ͏p͞ŕomise̡d sho͏ẁ?͝ N͟o,̛ no, ͞it wo͟n͡’t d̷o̵ a̷t͟ ͝al̀l.͢” 

Marvin’s gaze snaps to the shadow that bubbles out of a distant corner. Green eyes wink at him mockingly, before Jameson’s perfect reflection steps out.

“Hey, Hen. I know it’s late, and I know you’ve got work up the wazoo, but- look, have you heard from Jackie recently? He, uh… I don’t know if you heard about Marvin going off the deep end, but he went after Marvin. Just… give me a call or a text back when you can, ‘kay? Thanks, bro. Stay safe.” 

Henrik wearily steps out of the clinic, messenger bag slung across his shoulders. The phone rings in his hand as he walks through the darkened parking lot. 

It picks up after a couple rings.
