90s Motel Set (Maxis Match Build/Buy CC!)

This is a build set I really wanted for my own gameplay as I was building a motel. It has items that not only suit the old motel style, but also look good in most homes. I spent a lot of time fine-tuning this set, and I think it turned out great in the end!

The objects are low-mid poly, handmade, and come in all EA wood swatches so they should match lots of other items in the game. They also have a basic white and black swatch without any wood grain. Not showcased is also a curtain rod to make the curtains modular, they are also designed to look mostly seamless in their patterns when placed next to each other.

Mod Updates: 02/26/25

After spending the last 24h hours working on updating my mods, I can finally say it: it's done 🎉

I was able to do it quickly as I'm currently unemployed, and I’m starting a training program in the next months only. If you like my mods and can afford it, don’t hesitate to make a donation here, it could go a long way 🤗 And please, be patient, all this work takes time and most creators have a day job and a life, and some of them even have a mountain of mods to update.

As I feared, the features of the Hobbies & Businesses pack affects a lot of the stuff I use the most in my mods, even small changes, and it required me to update nearly all my mods one way or another. It was tedious to say the least 😅 But everything should be ready for when the next pack arrives.

So I took the decision it was time to improve my organization, and I decided to:

Create PlumbBuddy manifests for all my mods, this way, if you use that app, you can check if you miss some required files, and see the potential conflicts with mods which included the Instances of tunings they override in Exclusivities.

Revise the filenames to make them closer to the names of my mods on Tumblr. Some mods evolved a lot, so their filenames were non-descriptive. It should make it easier in the future to see what you have and update the right stuff.

For those reasons, all the mods are updated. My recommendation is to delete all my mods (all their filenames start with "DISL_") before re-downloading what you were using. I think that's the safest way to avoid duplicates as the new files won't replace the older ones.

I playtested everything, but keep in mind that with the number of mods I have to maintain, I might have missed some stuff (nothing game-breaking anyway). Also, some of the injectors I use are just confirmed as working, but we can expect to see some others issues in the future (as each pack brings its lot of bugs!). Feel free to send me a message if you see anything wrong 🤗

To finish, I already have in mind some evolution for my mods with the new pack features, nothing too fancy, but I'm exited to share that 🤩

And I nearly forgot, there is a small addition to the multifunction objects : pumpkin carving stations and candle making stations can now be used to craft woodworks 🛠️ (and even fabricate items if you are using my Fabrication at the Woodworking Table mod)

I am wicked excited to release my first piece of CC for June. This eyeshadow, named The Twilight Zone, was inspired by summer nights and the way the sky looks immediately following a sunset.
