BETA
Observing Joe Cross' work in my studio for so many days on end has really opened my eyes and ears to the achival of better sounds. I've supercharged my DAW with new plugins as well as the newest version of Logic Pro – and off to new creative horizons! I've finally got some time to work on other projects and started today with a track that BETA wrote and showed me. We're gonna finish it off and hopefully write some new stuff together on four dates next month too!

Drum recording at Nalepa
Martin on drums! Learning a lot of new techniques from Joe Cross these days. How to get a drum kit sounding good when it's set in thick instrumental tracks. Where the punch and slam and booosh and crack is located and how to enhance with room microphones. And also learning to respect logic in recording a lot more. First thing we did upon arrival was to move the Pro Tools rig outta the way and hook up a Mac Pro running Logic. Sounds great! Multi-track recording and editing in a breeze – I am a believer!

Manors Show at Magnet
Shouldn't always be talking about myself: these guys just showed up out of nowhere (more specifically: London) and blew me straight off my feet. They deserved a much bigger audience, and I know in time they will be much much talked about. The music just goes straight at you and needs absolutely no explanation. So visit their facebook page, go watch them live and buy the EP (as I have too)!

rehearsals completed - light programming and backings
Yes! Two days of rehearsals and our new live setup is running smoothly. Bass guitar harmonizes with backing tracks, Birthe is acing the pitch on her harmonies, and the lights I built and programmed are flashing and buzzing beautifully.
