Aemond didn’t think of it as a joke, but rather a game. A delicate yet insistent play on cat and mouse.

A game where Jace pretended he was against all of this, that he was a reluctant participant forced to engage in Aemond’s twisted debauchery, all under the carefully crafted guise of blackmail.

But Aemond sees through him, he sees that eager flare in his eyes that only ever presents itself when he’s looking down at him beneath the glow of blacklights, the witching hour an additional cover for those desires he doesn’t dare voice out loud in the light of day.

Aemond has a nasty habit of propositioning (blackmailing) stripper Jace for sex despite their familial relations. And Jace is bad at pretending he hates it.

probably super late to this but i like to think they changed this scene in the final cut because it sorta gives the implication that remmick has been stalking sammie since the beginning of the movie…yk, since that’s the only time we hear him perform this song specifically and actually sing those lyrics(aside from the very end)…..
