[Caption: gifs from the Lost in Space series finale. June/Dr. Smith is in his cell, resting in her coat with a copy of Sense and Sensibility in her arms. A guard tells her (calling her “prisoner 002″ that she has a visitor, and we see Maureen approach the door of the cell, the two of them looking at each other through the grid. June jokingly asks if Maureen baked her a cake with a file in it to escape; Maureen replies that she doesn’t bake and June doesn’t need a file. June shrugs, smiling awkwardly. Maureen tells her she saw a list of passengers of the next trip from Earth, including a woman with the same last name as June, Jessica Harris, autorized by June’s pseudonym. June reveals it’s technically her sister, as Jessica disowned her. Maureen says that menas Jessica doesn’t know who she really is, and June replies she’s not sure either at this point. Maureen affirms she does know the real June. After a charged pause, Maureen gently tells her June to look her up when she gets out of prison, making her smile.]

i'm thinking about charlotte brontë spending her last years editing and publishing her sisters' writings and about christopher tolkien dedicating his life to the protection and meticulous reconstruction his father's life's work and about johanna van gogh publishing the letters between vincent and theo that would propel vincent van gogh into fame because she knew how much her husband had loved his brother, and about how so often art isn't just a reflection of the artist's mind and skills but a testament to the fact that they were loved

THE WHEEL OF TIME 1.06//1.07
Aposiopesis (/ˌæpəsaɪ.əˈpiːsɪs/; Classical Greek: ἀποσιώπησις, "becoming silent") is a figure of speech wherein a sentence is deliberately broken off and left unfinished, the ending to be supplied by the imagination, giving an impression of unwillingness or inability to continue.

Swear your oath, Moiraine Sedai.
Rafe Judkins: They’re such fascinating characters in the books and they have, you know, especially when you read New Spring, they have - I mean, for a queer person reading the books, it feels very explicit. Like, oh, they’re just saying it. They clearly say it. But I think that relationship is one of the core relationships for Moiraine, obviously, in the entire series in The Wheel of Time (…) The goal was, in that scene at least, to see something akin to a marriage bond between these two women, a bond of trust in a world where you can’t trust anyone. — for Empire Magazine’s Spoiler Special Film Podcast
