Does Wu know about Gracie? Does Morro even know about her? Will he recognized her?

for a long time, neither wu nor morro knew gracie existed! wu only met her near the end of season 4, after the elemental masters escaped from chen’s island. he saw the resemblance immediately, and was shocked morro had a daughter. but he was more than willing to accept her onto the ninja team when kai and lloyd invited her on. wu sees a lot of morro’s stubbornness and pride in gracie, and used a lot of the same techniques he used to train morro to train her.

for most of her life, gracie didn’t know anything about her father. he left (and died) before she was even born. when morro and gracie first meet at the beginning of season 5, neither of them recognize each other. gracie is filled with anger because morro is possessing lloyd, while morro is confused as to why this random girl has the same elemental power as him. but then it clicks. he can see the similarities between them. there’s no doubt about it — gracie is his daughter, inside and out. and when wu explains her connection to morro… well, let’s just say she’s far from pleased.

i’ll go into more detail about it in my oc fanfic, serendipity, if you’re interested! although it’ll be a minute before gracie meets morro lol. i’m barely halfway through writing season 4.

i have a lot of ideas for seabound for gracie! i’ll explain a bit under the cut if yall are interested :)

when nya’s powers start acting up, gracie’s powers follow suit. so while nya, lloyd, jay, pixal, and zane go underwater to find the cause of her power problems, gracie, nico, and cole return to the island to try and see if they can fix the problem. they spend a lot of time studying under the keepers of the storm amulet, learning more about the story about nyad and wojira.

gracie eventually becomes frustrated because the storm amulet doesn’t seem to be responding to her (she doesn’t know that it’s a fake, and that clutch powers took the real thing). she becomes relentless with her training, barely stopping to eat or sleep. which, of course, leads to her passing out on the mountaintops while trying to re-harness her powers.

when the other ninja (and benthomaar) return to the island seeking the storm amulet, zane finds out that the amulet is a fake. which fills gracie with a small sense of relief. it wasn’t her fault the amulet wasn’t responding. but at the same time, she also becomes greatly frustrated. she spent all this time training and studying the amulet for nothing?! man :(

in the end, when nya merges with the sea, gracie blames only herself. what good was all the training she’s done if she can’t even protect her own friends?
