Congratulations trainer! Your concerted efforts to raise Huddypili have allowed it to evolve into Glöynpala, the Living Coal Pokémon. You won't see this Pokémon outside the dark caves unless it's with a trainer or fluttering around a cartel of Carkol.

Huddypili and Glöynpala have an additional inspiration that's unique to Tumblr. This, and another Pokémon to come, are based on @becausegoodheroesdeservekidneys' polls about the Welsh names of animals. Specifically, this one.

Trainer, your Trubbish has evolved into Garblanhau, the Clean-Up Pokemon! This pokemon devours plastic waste and other pollutants, leaving nothing but clean water in its wake.

Trainer you have encountered Simruan Trubbish! This normally gross and dirty pokemon is helping to keep Simru clean by sort and sweeping up plastic waste from its beaches and coastal areas!

EDIT: I forgot to change Trubbish' pokedex number, it should be 73 not 50. It msy still show up as 50 in old reblogs.

Trainer you have encountered Myrfetch'd, the Mad Duck Pokemon.

SO happy to get this crazed loon out of my brain and onto the screen. I blame binge-watching Duck Tales entirely for this. I added an extra panel for Ferfetch'd too, just to give some extra background information on where and why the evolution would occur.

Trainer, you have encountered Rhagalaru, the Mourning Pokemon.

I love how the flowers turned out on this pokemon.

Trainer, you have encountered Wylolia, the Mourning Pokemon. You find some small solace in knowing you will be mourned if you are lost on the mountainside.

Wylolia somewhat represents the opposite of Simruan Ampharos (albeit unintentionally, this is just something I have realised while writing its dex entry), in the sense that Ampharos does its best to help those lost on the mountain, whilst Wylolia mourns those that aren't so lucky.

Its types are specific to fill a Gym leader's niche typing, of which I will go into more detail about soon. I will back-tag other Pokemon I have already posted that also fill this niche.

Today has been a good day for drawing. I had an idea last night that I quickly drew on a post it note, and developed it today into a two stage pokemon. These are based on mourning widows and a flower that grows on the mountain sides of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) called Saxifraga. No names yet, but the types are already decided specifically to fit into a gym leader's niche.
