They need to relocate to a safer location immediately! This is the umpteenth time they have gone through this. Please read about it in his own words:

"Displacement is bitter and more difficult than death itself! When you are forced to leave your place, every step becomes heavy as if you are carrying the weight of the world on your back. Carrying bags weighs down and breaks the back. Running from death is not only physically tiring, it is soul-killing, as you feel like you are escaping a part of your life with every step. Pitching a tent over and over again is not just a physical act, but rather a psychological drain, as every time you rebuild something you know very well that it is temporary, it comes with great physical, psychological and financial costs. Not knowing the destination confuses the mind and puts you in a constant state of anxiety, and tires the eyes that are constantly searching for hope on an unknown horizon. Displacement is a harsh experience whose bitterness and difficulty are known only to those who have suffered from its fire and lived through it with all its painful details. [My] family is trying to collect the costs of displacement, as the Zionist occupation has issued evacuation orders for their area, and shells are falling on them day and night, and they are exposed to danger. The danger is increasing for them, and time is running out, and [we] need you."

Journalist Siraj Abudayeh ( @siraj0), who lost everything in November 2023, wanted his story to be shared.

After almost two years of genocide, through which he got displaced multiple times, he finally had the chance to return home in the North. Now, once again he faces the danger of artillery shells and bombs and has to evacuate as the area has been marked for attack.

A tent that doesn't hold back fear

In a neglected corner of an area threatened by invasion, a small tent stretches across a dusty, uneasy land. It is inhabited by the Siraj family—a father, a mother, three children, and his extended family of 24—who have been displaced six times over the past few years. Each time, they thought it would be their last, but war kept knocking on their door again.

Their last home, which they had built with great hope from scraps of brick and wood, was targeted by the Zionists a year and a half ago in a violent raid. Since then, they have been living in this tent, which offers neither protection against the cold of winter nor the heat of summer, nor does it ward off fear. The area they now reside in is under threat of being stormed at any moment, and the father, Siraj, is unable to sleep at night, worried about his children.

"We want nothing more than to get out of here. We just want to live in safety," the mother says, cradling her little girl close to her chest. The family has tried to flee again, but transportation costs have become an insurmountable obstacle, as they don't even have enough to eat.

Today, the Seraj family appeals to compassionate hearts: Help us move to a safe place. We are not asking for a home, just a way out of danger.
