I haven't been able to get reshade to work ever since one of their anti-cheat updates and the in-game photo mode's field-of-view setting has been messed up for longer than that so I can't get really nice-looking screenshots to post anymore. x_x

I even sent in a ticket to see if they'd fix photo mode and they haven't.

friend who's been into Uma Musume for like seven years convinced me to play the game and now I can't stop. :|

Bourbon and Vodka are my favorites, though I also appreciate Tachyon and Hayahide for the nerd factor, and Gold Ship for the sheer insanity.

Friend made a trainer OC so I had to make one too, obviously. Mine is an uma himself, but he's trans and hides his tail and ears under a jacket to avoid questions (since apparently there aren't male horse people?) It's not a big deal, really. He just doesn't want to be interrupted while he's working.

He's Silver Charm - the horse who almost won the first US triple crown I watched as a kid. The actual horse was later sent to Japan for breeding, conveniently.

So, fun fact about the skinned FurReal pony - I got the ID wrong, but only because Smores and Butterscotch's necks are semi-fixed in position, and I didn't think to google if the image I had of Butterscotch was mirrored.

The skinned horse IS Butterscotch, not Smores, but all of that's besides the point.

The reason I'm making this post is that y'all need to know that they skinned Butterscotch to turn her into a flamethrower

I’ve been thinking about joining Star Stable for a while but I’m a little unsure about it. Would you say it’s an easy game to “get into”?

Honestly I joined so long ago that I can't give an unbiased answer. They've changed up the order of the beginner quests in a way I personally don't like because I really enjoyed the pacing of it when I first played, but that might just be me. The changes also caused some inconsistencies such as characters showing up when you haven't properly met them yet, but idk, if you keep that in mind, it might still be fine.

I still consider it the best available horse game (at least in what I personally want from a horse game, which is mostly about visuals and feel). You gotta admire how they make a new model with different animations for every single new breed. I don't know of any other game that does that.

If it were any other horse, I'd agree, but since it's the one a player starts with and supposed to be your special magic soul horse, I think it should be prioritized. It is not remotely up to the visual standards of the more recent breeds. It at least needs to be given the set of mane/tail options that newer breeds have (but if they were going to do that, they might as well just update the whole thing and call it gen 3.5 or something.)

I really want the starter horses to be updated, they’re so ugly 😓😓
