I live in complete poverty and disability. Trying to make art to sell as prints as I am not getting commissions the way I used to. I am disabled and diabetic, immunocompromised from recent surgery, and I live in a traditional filipino house partially destroyed by storms and termites. I work 3 jobs, but they are all very unstable. saw an elderly woman walking around with a tote bag whose design were the four AO3 fic category squares and she very excitedly asked if i was a reader or a writer bcs nobody else at the con had recognized it, and after telling her that i've been writing fic since fanfic.net, she solemnly nodded and explained that she'd been reading fic since "the days of personal websites" but that she only started writing fanfic when she was 47 and oh my god when i tell you that i genuinely teared up on the spot!!!!! like!!! HELL YEAH???? LITERALLY NEVER TOO OLD TO START WRITING. NEVER TOO OLD TO WRITE AND SHARE YOUR FIC.

her enthusiastic "i'm a very nice and bubbly person, i swear! but i love writing angst and major character death :)" nearly took me the fuck out.

hot take on foreman?

there is a reason the show started on his first day of work. there is a reason he is given leadership roles and opportunities from s1 onwards. there is a reason he is given the lion's share of subplots and has character arcs in every single season (where chase by contrast doesn't get a single one until s6). there is a reason that when the show tried to dump cameron and chase in s4, they kept him a part of the main cast/ hell, there's even a reason foreman was the one who got almost killed in a two parter and not cameron or chase, and that reason is: he is the main character. he is the watson to house's holmes, the one who questions house's calls and helps solve the mysteries and stands in for the audience (where wilson, the actual watson, simply becomes house's friend).

and my hot take is: there's a reason fandom pretends "noo, being a side character / last minute dean of medicine sidelining was always his true purpose" or "noooooo, he was never that smart or that talented," and no one wants to admit what that reason is :)))

yuri house ships for pride month

cameron/cuddy. mentorship. rivalry. mutual respect slow building over time. the way cameron mirrors cuddy, but also the way they lowkey are locked in a power struggle half the time. insane dynamics.

amber/thirteen. what did they have going on and why don't we talk about it more. amber wanted to get a reaction from thirteen so bad, she was so obsessed, insane psychosexual mindgames

stacy/cuddy. friends, confidants, stand wayyyy too close to one another

thirteen/cuddy. admittedly not a lot here but still more interaction than cameron and thirteen ever had oops

amber/cameron. okay, they only really interacted once, BUT. amber trying to ingratiate herself to cameron. cameron running across amber post-firing instead of wilson.

thirteen/adams. they only had one episode but can you see the vision. adams the new kid trying to prove herself and show she doesn't care. thirteen, similarly torn between wanting to stay on the team and move on with her life.
