Two Bajoran siblings live across the hall from each other. The brother's two roommates are a Bolean wannabe actor and a grumpy Andorian. The sister's roommates are a ditzy, hippy-ish Betazoid and a ditzy dumbass Bolean. The six of them get into all sorts of crazy situations, the female Bajoran and the male Andorian even get married eventually, but the important thing is that they stick together through thick and thin.

Idea #1
The show is focused around four friends who live in San Francisco, the capital of the Federation.
Two Tellarite roommates are the main characters, one of them is a comedian and the other... well, the other has employment issues.
On occasion the comedian's ex girlfriend, a Bajoran, comes to visit. She's a terrible dancer.
The other main character is their across the hall neighbor, a wild, free spirited Denobulan who is always getting himself into weird situations
