part of me wants to just pull phoebus into the modern / slice of life world and remove him from the urban fantasy world since he just doesn't have a big role in it. drake and freya can stay because they're descendants of the first brood which DO have a huge role in the universe. the phaya naga is important to city setting itself yes but ... not to the story. much to think about.

sometimes i think about reworking satanael's background and removing the human lover part for her but i think that the toxic yuri potential of michael forming a resentment for humanity due to her jealousy of said human lover and by proxy, humanity is tooooo good to pass up. like satan what were you thinking a speck of dust over an eternity with me are you fucking crazy

Satanael peers over, cocking a brow at the gesture. Is the food for herself or for her? She bends so that she's at a somewhat reasonable height to address her (though she yet towers over her). "What do you want me to do?" She asks, her voice even, but curious. The food looks delicious, but an angel requires no such nourishment by design.

I ran a poll (not here) wherein I asked people whether I should change Nilan's name or keep it the same and keeping it won, so his name will remain Nilan. ^_^

I'm thinking about changing Nilan's name to Souriya but I love 1) having another OC I named myself after 2) the meaning of his name (that being "eternal"

However, Souriya is also beautiful in its meaning of "sun", to stay in line with sunflowers.

Lavinia is far from opposed to who her kids have set her up with. In fact - maybe Lavinia could admit to having had a few lingering gazes over Haruo every time he stopped by the bakery. Maybe! But it was a little embarrassing to be set up by one’s children; it’s not that Lavinia was lacking in any ‘game’ so to speak… she just chose to not make any advances. 

Seeing that the waiter already poured water for the table, Lavinia reached for her glass and took a quick sip to ease her nerves. 

“Haruo.” Lavinia echoes softly, as if to correct herself. She returns a smile in kind. “Duncan and Rosie were the same. They quizzed me on what my dream suitor would be.” The implication that it was Haruo all along made her cheeks flush. “I’m just happy you showed up.”

“I haven’t been here in a long time. The menu looks totally different. Have you?” 

Seems as if they were both left in the dark — which is the intention of blind dates, he supposes. Yet knowing this is who Izumi had in mind makes him think it a bit silly. He Haruo would've taken it upon himself to ask properly if ... Well, maybe it was best like this, actually. Who knows how long it would've taken him to ask.

"Just Haruo, please," he insists kindly, unable to help the smile that curves all luminous and soft. "Yours and mine, it sounds like. Izumi had a field day this past week trying to get me here." Somehow, the thought of both of their children joining efforts like this touches him. "If I'd known you're my date, I would've brought sunflowers at least."

"Have you been here before?"
