physical touch is his way of displaying love, and he always has to be touching you in some way, whether that be with your thighs up against each other as you sit down on the train, or an arm slung over the couch behind you during movie nights, or the slight brush of your hands when you two walk together (which always brings a pink tinge to his cheeks).

when he’s head over heels, small acts of service is what he does in prayer that you notice the affectionate undertones. he silently slides over work that you missed, and brings you your favourite snacks when he sees you’re upset (claiming that he “always carries them”, though we all know that’s a lie). nonchalant king, except we see the redness on the tips of his ears. real smooth.

words of affirmation hold greater depth than you think, with his praises and encouragement as you land a good hit, or the oddly specific compliments, like “you’ve got a really nice nose, y’know that?” followed by his awkward stuttering and internal cursing of why would i choose to focus on that? it’s endearing though, really.

the best way he expresses his love for you is through quality time. he feels so comfortable around you that even in silence, you both enjoy each other’s company. sometimes you sit and binge shitty tv shows together, just to giggle at how awful they are, though really he’s watching you instead. he also denies with fervour when you call him out for staring, looking like a child caught eating cookies.

gojo satoru shows up at your house, unannounced, in the middle of the night on the anniversary of suguru’s slaughter of the village every year without fail, bearing only watery eyes and a pathetic attempt of a smile.

“y/n!” he says, with a lacklustre attempt of his usual charm to throw over the emptiness within his voice, but you can see through it. you can always see through it. and so, your yearly ritual of comfort begins as you pull him into your arms, both of you standing in the doorway of your apartment, and you feel him trembling in your embrace. how many years has it been now? four? five? yet to you, he’s still the same 17-year-old boy who lost his best friend. and you, as part of their small group of shoko, suguru, and satoru, are the only one who really understands his pain, besides shoko, of course, but she wasn’t really a person one would go to for comfort.

as the evening drifts slowly on, you and satoru always end up laying tangled in each other’s arms, your fingers threading through his hair as you listen to his usual repetitive cycle of thoughts over suguru’s betrayal of the jujutsu world, mumbles of “it’s my fault” and “i should’ve known” into your shoulder, seeking whisperings of reassurance from the one person who can always make things just that little bit better.

his pale skin is illuminated almost ethereally in the glow of the television, the movie the two of you put on just fading into background noise, as you both drift off into a soft slumber at some point early into the morning, and for once, satoru accepts the shelter provided by the cleft of the rock in his storm of violence and torment - you.

bf!gojo as things my bf does

bf!gojo is sassy. yes, we knew this, but it is upped to the MAX when you’re dating. you leave him on seen for two minutes? when you look back, there will be five messages of him declaring how much you hate him.

bf!gojo messages you every detail of his life. he texts to tell you the color of his socks, that he saw a dog on the way to work, that his nose itched but then he itched it so “there’s no need for you to worry your pretty head about it” (as if you were?), the list goes on. it’s his way of not-so-subtly showing that you’re always on his mind.

bf!gojo sends you tiktoks of animals and says “this is us!”. yes, satoru, you and him are those two kittens asleep in a laundry basket. and the raccoons in the dumpster. and the monkeys picking bugs out from each other’s hair. he also gets upset when he doesn’t see your initials on those tiktoks made by 10-year-olds.

bf!gojo takes 0.5 pictures of you EVERYWHERE and refuses to delete them. he insists that it’s how he sees you, seeing as he’s “at least four feet taller than you” (his words). the second you try take one of him, he snatches your phone and says it’s “not kind”.

bf!gojo always insists that he isn’t tired, but within ten minutes of you playing with his hair, he’s fast asleep. when he wakes up, he claims that he was “just resting his eyes”. his stubbornness is endearing, deep down.

bf!gojo buys your favourite sweet treat from that place you like every time he goes past it, without fail. did it make him late for a meeting? absolutely. but it was worth it to see how your face lit up when he came back home, he loves to see his partner happy.

bf!gojo tells you at least three times a week how excited he is to get married to you so that you can “never get rid of him”. not that you were planning on it anyway. yes, he’s an idiot, but he’s your idiot.
