a few months ago I went through all my alcohol based markers (mostly prismacolor brand) and juiced them back up with 70% isopropyl alcohol with pliers and an eye-dropper. I cleaned the tips by soaking them in the alcohol too. it took forever!! some of these are as old as probably 12 years? maybe 13. then after cleaning and refilling them all I never got back to using them lol but I want to get back into drawing so we’ll see… anyway I just wanted you to see my marker hoard, lol.

sealing a bunch of stuff for a collage….I’m doing it on top of the previous collage which I messed up, lol. the idea is using a bunch of stuff that I’ve wanted to use for something and have been saving for years with a maximalism theme and the goal of indulging myself. this is maybe 1/4th of the stuff I’ve picked out. anyway, we’ll see how it turns out!

this poster is on a 24x36 cradled wood board with a 1.5 inch depth
anyway this is gonna be the hardest to “restore” poster I’ve ever done. it’s more like camouflaging…this one had a lot of texture issues, holes, and creases so we’ll see what I can do! it’s easier to hide poster damage that’s not literally in the middle enter faces lol.
I’ve started filling the holes in with modeling paste that I’ll sand. after I’m gonna make clear gesso with acrylic medium and cornstarch then sand again. I’ll start painting after that! first I want a totally smooth surface.

about to start working on covering up the creases in the poster with some sanding down and paint! this one has some pretty intense ones so we’ll see what I’m able to do. kind of a frustrating process honestly but it’s worth the effort!

I still haven’t edited the photos of the big worf collage and posted them but here’s what I’ve started! it’s 24x36 inches as well…so far I’ve been picking out what I might want to use then doing a little moodboarding and moving around. I’m in very early stages but I like where it’s going so far!!

back at the paper mache jackalope I started a few months ago then abandoned (oops!)
so far I’ve attached a terra cotta pot to the head and then attached that to a 4x4 inch square piece of wood for a base! it’s much easier to work on this way. I also used some wire covered in air dry clay to start the antlers.
there’s still a lot to do but I finally feel like I’m on the right track with it!
