A vocal synth "Fandesign Fanzine": registrations are open!

The Fandesign Fanzine will be, as planned, a small-scope, free online fanzine with no barrier to entry (re:skill, style, technique...) about your own fandesigns for commercial vocal synth characters with no official design.

Here is what it will look like:

Both a portfolio-style site and a PDF - to view as you prefer!

Two possible canvas formats; both in 200dpi, which was selected to meet between the interest in "higher quality formatting" (higher than your base 72dpi) and the possible limitations of newer artists or artists with less powerful machines.

A majority of digital art (per demand), but also, possibly, traditional art and/or cosplay!

A 2.5 months (11 weeks) creation period with a possibility for exceptional extension.

Who can register:

People who entered the interest check: you need to register in order to participate! Filling the interest check alone does not mean you registered.

"Latecomers", who did not fill the interest check, are allowed to register as well. In the event that the number of registrations is too high, people who had entered the interest check will be prioritised.

Estimated registration period: from September 4, 2025 at 7:10PM to September 18, 2025 at 7:10PM (Paris time).

If demand is too high, registrations may be closed earlier, but this will be clearly communicated!

-> Participants will be expected to create a new piece specifically for the zine, and to only post it to their social media once the zine is published. -> Participants will be expected to be niceys!!!!!!

Since "latecomers" are allowed; don't hesitate to share this post with your mutual who could be interested or that fandesign creator you look up to!

TODAY IS RIPLEY'S "BIRTH"DAY... well, death cocoon emergence day. THEY'RE 181 YEARS-OLD!!!! I still keep them at 172 by default since I play with them mostly in a general immediate post-dmc5 timeframe, but the day still massively counts!!

I have art for the occasion that will be done most likely by tomorrow BUT... I think I may make a simple cake today after I go shopping, just because life's too short. Have fun. Celebrate your OC's birthdays.

I’ve met people who will actually argue against this (and I suggest just blocking anyone who does) but if your choice is between going hungry and getting fast food or snack food….PLEASE JUST FEED YOURSELF. No food is actually bad enough that it’s better to skip eating entirely. Malnutrition is more dangerous, more immediately, and more long-term than any consequences of eating a damn twinkie or a cheeseburger.
