Honestly, I love it when a character loses everything. I love it when everything is torn from their hands, no matter how hard they grip it close to their chest. I love it when they sacrifice all they have in the pursuit of something else. I love it when it’s an insidious loss, where not even they have realized they lost it all until they wake up one day and wonder where it all went wrong.

I feel that Eragon and Saphira's relationship adequately represents what it's like to be a fully sentient creature that acts as the steed for a human. It's something I think about in my own worlds. Why would a dragon capable of speech and poetry become a human steed? Being a dragon and having a human rider would have to be fueled by love. To love something so deeply that you would lend your power to them. To have a friend you can carry with you into the sky.

I haven't finished the visual references for Arya's art design yet to post her completed art, but I was looking for an excuse to just draw her with her hair down lol, so I made this quick sketch. Traitor. Exile. Hunter. Hero and without a doubt our favorite emo boy!! Ladies and Gentlemen: MURTAGH!! For my Murtagh fanart I tried to make him following the descriptions in the book as much as possible and also a Han Solo vibe, since many say that Eragon is like Star Wars but with dragons, so if Eragon is kind of like Luke then Murtagh must certainly be his Han Solo.
