A week after graduating high school, Mike Brown was murdered by police officer Darren Wilson. His murder sparked the Black Lives Matter movement in Ferguson, MO and nationwide, and his family and supporters brought national attention to how police laws exist for arbitrary killings based on the racist notions of officers. Officer Wilson was not charged with any crime then, and after an investigation in July, 2020, he was still relieved of any charge. 

Democrat mayors and governors nationwide responded to protests with increased police force and military presence. President Obama and news media called protesters “thugs,” and lumped incidents of property destruction with all BLM protesters to deflect from their demands for police accountability. 

Police used Mike Brown’s size and race against him and lied about attacks. An investigation found that Officer Wilson had fired 10 shots into a non-moving person, 6 of which hit Mike Brown, only from the front. Eye-witnesses said that Mike Brown yelled “Hands up don’t shoot” before Wilson shot, but the FBI has denied it. Wilson had a minor bruise on his jaw. Amnesty International sent observers to the US for the first time, and their report cited human rights abuses, including the use of lethal force in Brown’s death, racial discrimination and excessive use of police force, imposition of restrictions on the rights to protest, intimidation of protesters, the use of tear gas, rubber bullets, and long range acoustic devices, restrictions imposed on the media covering the protests, and lack of accountability for law enforcement policing protests (x).

6 years later and the government hasn’t changed, but the people have.

You know I love how so many people are like “respect boundaries respect consent” until it’s time to respect people w OCD who can’t shake hands or be touched or when an autistic person tells their family member they can’t give hugs or when a chronically ill person tells you “no I can’t do this thing” and you think “maybe if I just make them do it anyway it’ll make them stronger” or when a mentally ill person or someone who has been abused is like “I don’t want to be around this person/thing it’s triggering” and you get people guilting them to “just get over it”

If you’re about consent and boundaries, good, you should be, but remember to keep that energy when moms of autistic kids are like “I still hug my child even tho it makes them have panic attacks” or when someone’s like “yeah they said they don’t want to be around this person cause it’s “triggering” but I’m their friend so they should do it for me” or when a disabled person says they can’t go up the stairs and you’re begging them to “try anyway”

Don’t lose that mindset, or that energy when it’s time to respect the boundaries or consent of mentally ill and disabled people.

Camelot is empty. Uther is no longer king. Chaos in the streets. Armies of foreign kings have claimed Camelot to be theirs. Morgana and Gwen lead a defense squad consisting of untrained druids. They are all killed on sight.

Gaius is seen in a tent, he can't move, he's disabled now. He can't walk.

Arthur: *shocked*: what the - no that can't be. What happened to my father? Why is the castle empty? Why are those armies killing my people?

Gin: well... Since you weren't born, your father didn't loose his wife to magic. Which means he never started a war against it. Your parents got divorced however, when Ygraine learned of his affair with Vivienne. After that he lost all hope in his life and turned to drinking. He disowned Morgana as his daughter who grew up with druids instead.

Camelot was now vulnerable. Kings from other kingdoms attacked and Uther died in one of those riots.

Camelot's citizens ran for the woods. Before that happened, Gaius fell of a shelf once and was disabled ever since. Now Camelot's citizens can't even be treated properly. Many died of diseases.

Most knight were killed in a fight against dragon lords and their dragons that fought for other kingdoms.

Many were also killed by other magical creatures.

Arthur: Then - what happened to Merlin? Did they do something to him? Did he ever go to Camelot?

Gini: well.... Since you were never born, the dragons were never captured and killed by Uther, since his mind wasn't in it. Which means he never tricked Balinor into capturing the last dragon. Which means Balinor was never hunted by Uther. Which means he never left to Essetir and met Merlin's mother.

Which is also why Merlin was never born either.

Arthur: *blinks* what?

Gini: Merlin is magic sire.

Arthur: ??????

Gini: you were born of magic, Sire. And without you, magic would never exist. It's a circle. This was destined to happen

Arthur: what if i wish for Merlin to exist anyway?

Gini:........ If Merlin were to exist without you, and Uther would still hunt magic....

Then Merlin would be the one to destroy Camelot instead of protecting it

why don’t some people include suki in the gaang/ team avatar photos? ugh she’s part of team avatar as much as anyone else is concerned.

I always forget that one of the reasons Sokka is such a good fighter is because Suki taught him. In fact, you could argue that she helped lay the solid foundation because prior to their interactions on Kyoshi Island, he most likely only learned very simple stuff/technique from his father as a child (prior to all the men leaving to join the war). And perhaps from a few writings/scrolls left behind? Suki really isn’t getting enough credit.
