Well I drew something. One day I'd like to do a kid's book about a creepy goth girl.

Alright so initial thoughts on the first episode of King & Conquerer:

1. Another show that takes place in the past that is allergic to colour. It's all very desaturated and cool toned. There is some initial red text that gives background on the situation, the red pops BEAUTIFULLY against the cool tones but then the red from blood doesn't. I feel like they could have pushed the blood vibrance to make it more dramatic and worth the desaturation in everything else.

2. The costume choices are...eh. They're not 100% accurate, but at least it's tunics and cloaks. What I AM SO PISSED ABOUT is the lack of wimples and head coverings for the women! In that time period, having your hair OUT was so dirty. Braiding your hair back and keeping it under a covering wasn't just for modesty, it was to keep it clean. They couldn't wash their hair regularly so they had to maintain their cleanliness by creating a boundary. Occasionally you'll see a background character with a simple, but the main female leads don't.

3. William is okay, I'm not wowed by his characterization but he's definitely being portrayed to be the most stable and trustworthy figure so we root for him. Harold is more appealing to me, he's feeling more active and passionate.

4. I haven't done enough research into King Edward, but I feel like they're doing this guy dirty. Be nice to him, he's pathetic!

5. Fuck Sweyn.

I will keep watching and see how this political drama unfolds while knowing the real world ending. Hopefully there are more wimples.

I have finally relented and downloaded a VPN, but solely to watch a new show on BBC; King & Conquerer.

I'm always so reluctant to try new tech or programs. I've got trust issues when it comes to technology, but I NEED to watch K&C because I'm craving a new Medieval Europe fix.

(I also need to play Kingdom Come: Deliverance II)
