Hello clangen community!! I’ve made some free to use OC reference sheet templates for all your clangen needs and desires, including the transparent empty template version for if you want to make a custom background yourself! You don’t need to credit or link me in the post if you do end up using these, just don’t remove the credit on the template itself and you’re all set! I’ve made a template for this before but it was. very bad. so I decided to remake it and make it a lil prettier this time, using the backgrounds from the game itself.

Additional tips just in case: To add in your cats sprite, color pick the color of the solid square behind the [insert sprite here] model and draw over it! It should now be open for you to put your own sprites there. Also, if you’re making your own customized version using the transparent template, I use overlay clipping layers to change the color of the template itself, like the cyan overlay I used for the crystal river/wastelands/fjord maps.

Have fun!! Feel free to use however you like, just don’t remove the credit !

I think that sometimes it's very healthy to be reminded that your fandom drama means nothing to the outside world.

I've been rewatching the Jurassic Park series with some friends who haven't seen anything but the first film, and when watching Jurassic Park III, when we got to the Spinosaurus vs. T. rex fight I was caught totally off guard because in my mind this was by far one of the most famous moments of the franchise. This fight spawned countless internet arguments, entire tropes within dinosaur media, and a back and forth between dino fans that continues to this day, 24 years after the film's release.

And the two of them had NO idea about any of this. Halfway through the scene one of my friends leaned over to me and said "which of these dinosaurs would actually win, because I know the T. rex is gonna win cause it's a movie" and I realized that this argument which had permeated my world since I was in preschool had never even TOUCHED her life. They were both SHOCKED when the Spinosaurus won. To me this was like Darth Vader being Luke's father and my friends who are just as nerdy as I am but aren't as into dinosaurs had no clue.

It was a wild experience and I think it's a kind of perspective we all could use from time to time.

So I was thinking of making a dog au for Transformers but I'm kinda stuck on what to make them! So? I love the idea of them being herding dogs of some kind so I'd like to stay to that.

I figured both of these dogs kinda fit but I'm open to other ideas as well, I like hearing what other people think.

Hey guys let me tell you about advance fee scams

I hope y'all are familiar with these in this day and age, especially my artists out there, because they're incredibly common.

About half an hour ago I posted a drawing and tagged it #artists on tumblr, and very quickly received this comment.

My scam radar went off immediately, due to the generic blog name and lack of any emotion in the comment, but I decided it might be an entertaining venture so I dmed them. They asked for a drawing "of these", and sent me a random selfie. I got the details and told them it would be $15, and they promptly offered me $300. At this point I know it's a scam, but I play along for funsies and give them my paypal. Shortly, they send me this image for "confirmation" (I blocked out my email)

And they began to insist that I checked my email. I looked in my spam folder and found the following email.

This is fake. This is not a thing. And the "you're to refund the $200.00 back" is the scam. They send vaguely official-looking emails at you to "prove" that they sent you the money, then have you send them $200 (or however much the scam is for). Then, surprise surprise, you're out $200.

I continued to play along for a bit, and in the second email "Paypal" told me that I had to refund the $200 before they could "credit the $300 to my account", along with these lovely threats.

And yeah, it's silly. But it's not silly if you don't know and get scammed. So. Spread, please! And thank you very much to @mlaurel for the opportunity to get these screenshots.
